Wisdom and Guidance
I consult the I Ching daily. It’s centering and always correct.
Will not load after paying the $5.99
I am exhausted by trying to get this to give me what I have paid for. I am endlessly promoted to restore my purchase, but it never gives me access. It looks like a great version, but I will never really know. Sad
Love the app but…
I love using this app when needing clarity on situations that I find myself in as well as for daily guidance. The “but” is because I upgraded to premium some time ago but when I changed phones the premium service didn’t transfer. Not getting what I paid for is not cool. But the app is.
Hope to get refund to buy full version
Paid in-app purchase in the free version to be able to read full reading, but did not work, I thought I was getting the full version, but got the light version, If you want the full version to read all make sure you go to the App Store to make sure it doesn’t say light, otherwise it’s a good app to get started 🙏 hopefully I can get a refund to buy the full version, Cheers Sky~
Background color
Please allow to change the color of the page behind the text. That yellow paper makes it hard to read readings.
Very Useful
An amazing learning tool as well..
Just paid but no change in access
Why would I pay $5.99 but get absolutely no upgrade and the same messages to upgrade to see full content? I paid and nothing changes. Now I see a different app for the same amount by the same company. Pretty annoyed. Feel like I just got ripped off. Paid for nothing. Wow. This needs to be refunded.
Very handy app
Very handy app
App crashes while trying to save journal
For the past 4 to 6 months this App turns itself off while trying to save my journal edits. It is particularly frustrating when I am writing about deeply important issues and I go to push save and the App just shuts off. I have an iPhone15 with the latest OS etc. Additionally I have written to the App developers about this issue and have heard nothing. It’s sad as Walkers translation is one that I have been working with for over 20 years.
Won’t restore my purchase
I think this is the nicest I Ching app around, the only problem is that it won’t restore my previous purchase of a translation, 12€ or so, which I wouldn’t have payed for if I hadn’t thought it would be permanent.
Using since 2015
I am very grateful for this tool it has been a blessing to my spiritual journey and continues to offer me the greatest wisdom on my path.
Why were features removed?
This used to be a 5 star app with full I Ching text. As of august 2021, there is no text except a few lines. This is almost useless now without purchasing the text. The app description still says you get to see the full text, but that is false. Bait and switch. Don’t waste your time.
Effective and mindful
Answers to your questions are very logical, pleased thus far
Might be good if I were able to read the text
The font size used is far too small and the app doesn’t support the larger text accessibility setting, or have any option to change the font size
New font is hard to read
The app is good, but the latest update which introduced a new font made something that was beautiful ugly and not functional. You have to look twice against the background to check which number it displays. With the previous font I would have given it 5 stars. With this horrible font only 3 stars. Suggest going back to previous font.
Love the I Ching
The I Ching is one of my favorite oracles, and this app does a wonderful job of providing a digital I Ching experience. The wisdom it provides has guided me through some of the toughest and also some of the best times of my life. Through it all, I’ve been guided toward or told to maintain proper principles—and I love this about the I Ching because we really do need this reminder no matter what season of life we’re in.
This app never loads
The app never loads beyond the image of the book cover even when I tap on it.
iChing
Always relevant, convenient, same as throwing coins.
Won’t open on watch
I have had this title downloaded on my phone for sometime and was really looking foreword to having it on my watch but it won’t open on my watch and I wold like to know why you have it set for the watch if it doesn’t work on the watch. So I give you 2 stars.
Be advised!
I tried the lite version to see if it would work. It looked good, but data was incomplete due to lite version. So I bought the in app upgrade. It never came. I tried to get the developer to help. I emailed twice with no response. Ultimately, I gave up. I deleted the lite version. I then purchased the full I Ching version from the developer through the App Store, hoping that Apple would refund the in app upgrade, which they promptly did. Thank you, Apple! I still am second guessing whether I should have just given up and looked for another app from another developer... Be wary of unresponsive developers.
My Invaluable App!
I start every day with the wise words (through BBrowne’s brilliant translation) of the IChing, and I consult it through every life problem. I thank you!
More of a demo than a lite version
The thing that makes this a lite version is not that there are some missing features, but rather that many of the hexagrams have most of the text missing. So it’s not actually useful for anything others than giving you an impression of what the full product would look like.
Poignant and great
This app is a great way to experience the power of the I Ching yourself. Worth the price. See what it has in store for you!
Inconsistent reading
I’m unsure why I get incomplete and inconsistent readings. When I first downloaded this App I would Be able to read a full report. Now it’s incomplete every time.
Great but the only allows a few free consultations.
Then you are forced to purchase. I am sick of these misleading apps for iPhone!!!
Go to app
Notes for improvements: The ability to swipe between changing hexagrams would be nice, and a selection for multiple translations would be nice too
Does Not Recognize Past Purchases
I have used this App for years (possibly since it was first offered) and like it very much. I have paid for the upgrade version TWICE – the second time because my original purchase was not recognized. Now I find this has happened again and I am not willing to pay a third time. I have searched for a Contact email but there is none, consequently no way to contact the developer/publisher to resolve this problem. I am quite disappointed. Supplying no method to resolve problems via a Contact number or the developer’s email address indicates a certain deliberate cutting off of the natural receptive Flow – a cynicism, so contrary to the ethos and philosophy of the I Ching. In life the open flow of communication between parties is everything.
Good app except for font size
Great app, nicely presented, including the ability to only show the relevant parts of the hexagram readings as required. However, the font size is quite small and is pretty difficult to read for people with vision issues and there seems to be no option to change this. I tried to find an email address to enquire about font size but the App Support button takes you to a website without any obvious email addresses. Maybe the font size issue can be fixed in a later version...?
I Ching lite update
Absolutely loved this app but the recent update means you can now only access half of it, the option to restore to previous version does not work
Instructions would be nice!
Great to consult in an app - but some instructions or guides would be nice!
An excellent guide
This is an insightful rendition of the world’s original system of divination. I have found the guidance it provides invaluable on many occasions.
What did you do to my app? I want it back!
I have been using this app for several years. Now after the latest upgrade 2 weeks ago, there is incomplete “teaser” material for the hexagrams, and a link to buy the app bundle if you want to read the rest. No warning. It’s like you stole my app away. This is really in bad faith, app developer! Shame on you.
Beautiful
A beautiful app and version of the iChing. *Please update for iPhone 5 and having the option for the iChing to be read out-loud would be nice.
Functional
I'm only writing this because the app started asking me to rate it immediately, even though I just started using it and haven't formed an opinion. So far it seems to do what it is supposed to do.
Connect to yourself
We done interpretation of the I Ching. Simple, clear and concise. Easy to use application. I like how you can save your reading and make notes on your inquiry.
Crashes every time I use it
Sadly I can only award it one star as it crashes every time I use it. Potentially a good app but it’s performance needs attention.
Concise, easy to use
A very handy implementation of the I Ching. Still becoming familiar with the whole system but this is a great tool!
So helpful
I’ve been using this app for years, just like the book. Haven’t had to keep the book with me like I used to. Strongly recommend.
Never received full version.
I paid for the full version of the app but it never worked and I’m left with just half of it working. Very disappointing.
An unexpectedly poetic translation of the ideas.
I have been repeatedly surprised by the elegance of this app.
Useless
This app is entirely useless. Some of the hexagram readings are only available if you pay for them. Waste of time and obviously not fit for purpose.
