Widget doesn’t update
Loved the old Allegacy app. it just worked. This app. Horrible. The quick view widget NEVER updates. Constantly have to sign in to see your balance. This deserves zero stars. I hate it. I hate it. I HATE IT!!! Give me back the app that worked and place this one where light doesn’t shine.
Very helpful, areas to improve
Love the app, way better than working with through-browser website, boots up quickly, well laid out, the revamp is nice as well. There is a whole line of things in the settings area that can take you to a website, it seems bulky an odd to send someone to a website for any function while they are in the very app from that company. That said all in all a great app, very functional.
No calendar
When scheduling a payment there’s no calendar on the app.
IPAD FUNCTIONALITY
YOU HAVE TO TURN AN IPAD TO THE SIDE (90 DEGREES TO MY KEYBOARD) TO GET CERTAIN PROMPTS, SUCH AS CHECK DEPOSIT, TO BE VIEWABLE. IT TOOK AWHILE TO FIGURE OUT THAT WAS THE TRICK TO DEPOSIT A CHECK.

Easy to use. I love the online access and local ATM and office at Mount Airy! Although recently the ATM has had some problems but the office has helped greatly!

Love the app, but this new verify thing is not working
Have had no issues with the app until today. Whatever this new digital verification screen is will not verify me. I check the box, it spins, then the verification box pops back up.
Confusing and not user friendly
I love the people of Allegacy, but this app is difficult to navigate and seems limited. I do not have a bank account through Allegacy, but I do have a credit card and loan. Needs much improvement in the credit card and loan services. Must cater to only their bank account holders.

New Update
New update broke Apple Watch functionality again, cannot access any info on the watch….
Check deposit feature
I am having trouble depositing a check through the mobile app. I enter the amount to deposit and I hit the front button to capture the check and it goes to a blurry screen and says to rotate device to continue to deposit and it won’t do anything past that. I’ve rebooted phone updated the iOS. And deleted the app and reinstalled app same problems.
Log out button
The new update has removed the log out button from the main screen. It would be helpful if the logout was available at the top right of every screen.

Can’t access statements
I am unable to access monthly account statements on my iPad Air 3rd gen. A window opens displaying “loading”, but never finishes loading. Wouldn’t it be nice to update the app without screwing something up? Appreciate you fixing this. Thanks.
Good but glitchy
The app has always worked for me but recently I cannot deposit check cause it’s telling me I need to rotate my phone to take a photo of the check. Rotating the phone doesn’t work.
Review
Allegacy is a great bank, but it needs to catch up with the technology used by other banks in their mobile applications. I believe Allegacy is still lagging behind in terms of incorporating all the latest technologies.

Love using Allegacy Fed Union app. All i wish they would show the balance after each transsaction.
Log in
This new app is garbage. I can’t even log into my account. When I try to log in I end up on a screen that says my phone has been detected by a certain cell tower close to me then asks if this my phone. I click yes then it says there is an error sending the request. That’s as far as I get. I’ve talked to customer service and that was a waste of time. Time to move my money elsewhere.

This app should remove the option to deposit a check considering the fact that this feature does not work whatsoever.

Really great new app
Ruined everything.
Overall the new interface is hideous. The app itself is just all around garbage now. Can’t even use the app properly on my Apple Watch even when I have settings set to show quick balance on my watch and it still does not work.

The new app is trash
The new app basically lines up with the direction Allegacy has been going in for years. They have has worse and worse customer service, moved customer service to India which they may has well not even have customer service at this point, and they made their app and web baking a disaster. I banked here for over 30 years. I’m happy I’m leaving now. This new app removed features like being able to send money to my parents who are also members. I used to be able to just find their account, now I can’t. This place is going down hill and they’re taking the app with it.
PLEASE FIX THE SEARCH FUNCTION
I rarely use a home computer anymore. This app has been mostly great, however, if you’re looking for a specific charge, it’s impossible with the app. The search bar is there but you can’t access it because of the way the layout is designed.

I can’t get on my Allegacy mobile app. All I get is verify I’m human
Bad
They somehow made a bad app even worse with this last big update. The menus are extremely convoluted and take you in circles, and I had to google how to just find my card page, but the menu’s so awful that I already forgot how I did it. The app sent me a notification that it declined my card at a site that I tried to use it on, but gave me no direction on how to approve the transaction, not even a phone number to call, and I still haven’t figured it out. I now end up just going to the browser version of the website on my PC to do anything besides money transfers. Not user friendly at all.
Improving
AFCU original app was great. It was changed a few months back and I wasn’t very happy with the updates. Latest version, as of 10/07/25, has been much better. I have been an AFCU member for more than 25 years and have been a very satisfied member/customer.
Please go back to old app
The new app is a serious step backward. Please, please go back to the old app. If not, I seriously may have to change banks.
