Missing using the quick balance screen and you can use your face to open app always have to put in PAC
Less banking more product sales
New app isn't too bad but it removed banking simplicity and replaced it with more advertisements for services and options to buy more stuff. For instance see upcoming payments, buried in menus and less information but whole new products section with continuous new advertising banner over the accounts they want you to see not them all like before, no more at a glance that needs clicking and tapping now. Oh and the passkeys only work for a few days then back to PAC login only, even if you delete and setup again, no more Face ID.
New app
The new app is quick and pretty good, only 2 complaints I have is that I miss the quick look at balance of account, and that it’s a little bit more complicated after logging into the app itself

update is ok i actually like it. looks more modern and has so many important spending details helps u keep track. i do miss the quick balance tho! also sometimes connectivity issues so maybe develop on that
Scheduled payments
Really find this new app a downgrade. The scheduled payments are slow. The loss of the quick balance. I find it much harder to use.

Miss the quick balance button from this new app. Opening the app via the passkey is slow.
Poor UI
Poor UI navigation and layout, logout should be at bottom of main screen and not a series of clicks to find it. Too many pop up screens, all options on a single screen please, this is collectively a backwards step for the app regardless of any additional functionality.

Missing the quick account view option . Great when you were out in a busy location and need to cheak how much money you have discreetly.

I love the bank and trust them but the only issue is that u have to take a picture or ur passport and scan ur chip in ur passport which is nerve racking .

Login is painful
Two factor authentication is a pain. Once you miss the notification there is no way to get back. Also, there is no alternative to mobile notification is available very poor user experience.

It's ok, but the app doesent logout automatically when you put it in background, it remains opened. You have to close the process or logout manually. Tks!

Unable to update the security update
Hi, I am unable to update the new security update from my iPhone 12. It’s showing ‘unable to update due to technical glitch issue’. I can login to the app, then got the update or close option. Once clicked on update option it showed above message. It’s blocking me to show my account details. Can you please resolve the issue soon?

Why over complicate it
Why was app made less user friendly?????? Someone deserves an award for making something less user friendly. How much money was wasted on this project?
The old app was better
The 2026 update done to this app basically adds no new features but gives you the same experience in a more difficult layout. Businesses need to stop making apps more complex and ‘tech-y’. Every AIB user I know is not happy with this.
IPhone app crash
Team - I’m unable to open AIB app from my iPhone6S. After applying my fingerprint, app closing automatically. Pls try to fix it
Needs a workaround
I’ve had all the problems that others have mentioned here. In particular, the security update consistently fails to install thus rendering the app unusable. Anytime you really need to use the app. It WILL work if you delete/reinstall. Seems like a 20th century solution. Perhaps the bank should consider joining the 21st century

Old app was much cleaner and understandable complicated new app might be safer the new app but not as useful

App not working since change to iPhone 14 pro
Keeps telling authentication failed. I did the full thing with the card reader 3 times till it worked for a few minutes then I got the message that it failed.

Probably the worst banking app ever
This app is pathetic. The hoops of security to jump through are crazy. It keeps asking me to upgrade security within the app and yet I’m in this constant doom loop where the authentication fails due to a technical issue. It is quite literally the worst customer experience ever. I have several other banks and credit cards in other countries whose apps and online logins are way simpler and more secure. Get your act together AIB.
New app is dreadful
New app is not a move forward. Old app worked perfectly and easy to find everything. Also the one button for instant balance was very useful. I feal AIB didn’t consult with its customers on the new app
