So glad this app is getting love again!
I’ve been using MCBackup Pro for over 12 years now, and it remains one of my most relied-upon tools for keeping my contacts safe. When it went several years without an update, I almost gave up and deleted it. I’m so thankful I didn’t! Seeing the new update pop up last month was a fantastic surprise. The app still does its job reliably and simply, without unnecessary fluff. Thank you to the developers for bringing it back to life—please keep up the great work and keep the updates coming. Your long-time users really appreciate your hard work!
Don’t update
I’ve just updated it. The app isn’t working any more – I can’t back it up. The app freezes during setup.
Notes section is not backed up. Please fix it.
Everything is backed up fine except “Notes” section in contacts. Please fix it. Thanks b
Great product, but….
Seems like it does what it’s supposed to do, but figure it out on your own because you’ll get zero support. Developers ignored multiple attempts at my asking a question.
No export
I do not use Apple Mail, but gMail. Apple's app has never been opened and is not configured. Therefore the file created cannot be backed up.
Love the App
This is one of my favorite apps because it's very reliable, allowing me to easily email and back up all my contacts. Thankfully, I haven't needed to restore my contacts yet, but it's great to know I have that option.
Doesn’t work
Paid for pro and only saves 1 contact
Great update
I love being able to backup and mail my contact list. Somehow the file is smaller now too with all options turned on. Only thing missing is the full email reminder "If you want to restore backup contacts, tap on the attachment file and import all contacts. IMPORTANT: Send this message to yourself and do not delete. We don't access, save or store your backups. Sometimes email providers block attachments if attachment size is too large. Please try with another email account to send your backup file if possible. Or use Wi-Fi Download feature." I appreciate seeing in writing that you do not access or store my backups. I hope that hasn't changed so if you could put it back in the email I'd give 5 stars.
6 star when it worked Currently broken for me
It worked a treat, until about 4 weeks ago. Today it loads my contacts, correctly identified duplicates, when I run remove duplicates nothing happens. When I immediately re-run remove duplicates, it immediately bombs out to Home Screen. I haven’t looked at the logs, I’m quietly hoping this is an iOS v26 compatibility issue soon to be resolved. Genuinely hope there’s a fix. I’ve turned it off and on again (deleted/reinstall, checked permissions etc) I do have people contact backups both from the app and my own, I’m tempted to restore contacts to a prior version the app was happy with, but don’t have a sandbox to test in.

Contact backup pro
I recommend it for everyone because it is very reliable and dependable method of saving and backing up your contract safely
Does not send email
Cost money for nothing. It does not send the email after charging money.
Good
I couldnt send my files through email. The app doesnt have the option to attach an email. But I sent them via Fbook messenger or Whatsapp.
Backup
When I try to backup file for windows, it neither email the zipped file nor it uploads to drop. Also the file does not show up in the backup on the device. Someone needs to fix the issues soon
Doesn’t backup ring tone configuration and what you wrote in the note section
Everything seems to work well if you don’t have any special ring tone set up for any of your contacts, or don’t add any note to your contacts. Instructions is not the best, but if you have the patience to read carefully, you’ll do fine.
Back up contacts
Easy to use great thank you.
Fraud
The app makes motions like it is saving all your contacts to a PCF file. It next show shows you an email button to press. But pressing that button does absolutely nothing. It does not ask you for an email address nor do anything else. Thankfully, I only wasted two dollars.

Sorun var
Mail adresine gönderim yapıyorum. Gitti diyor fakat gelen birşey yok maalesef
Don’t use duplicate detection feature
The basic operation of this app is fine. However, as I found to my cost, the duplicate detection is rather too simplistic. When it finds two contacts with the same name, it just keeps one and discards the other: no attempt to merge them. And the result is then synced to iCloud, so you lose information. What worked for me: export all contacts as a VCF, import that into Contacts on the Mac, then use duplicate detection on the Mac. Oh, but before you do anything, backup your Contacts on the Mac; that’s what saved my bacon.
Great utility
I’ve used the free version for years and didn’t really realize there was a pro version until recently. Happy to pay the $1.99 for pro as thanks for the great use I’ve had of it. Also like the duplicate contact check in pro. Haven’t had any issues with either version. Both work as described.
They did not send
Never received the file….
Very good app but no privacy info?
Recommended app but the developer needs to post privacy policies/protections.

Backing up to Dropbox
App seemed to work well until I thought I would take advantage of the saving to Dropbox. I had already downloaded the Pro version, but it kept cycling wanting me to download Pro version again - annoying! I'll just copy the file manually to Dropbox.

Dropbox upload not working
Hi. The upload to Dropbox used to work but hasn’t in a long time. Any thoughts??
Pictures
Great app, needs to do photos as well in Contacts, maybe split load to accomodate?
It works half way
I can download all the NAMES of my contacts, but less than half of them also downloaded their information. I’m trying to avoid plugging in every single one manually, but apparently I’m still going to have to do it.

Stopped Working
Don’t buy this app. While it worked a couple of years but it’s now stopped working. Like others have reported, I’m unable to Email a backup(s) to myself. I tried the uninstall/reinstall but no change. Based on the app history the developer probably hasn’t updated it to work with new versions of IOS with and something stopped working. Removed the app for good and I’m looking for something else.
