What people like
- Voiceover support is great for blind users
- Simple, clear interface that is easy to use
- Works well for many different string instruments
What they complain about
- No microphone, so it isn't a real tuner
- Violin and viola sounds are noticeably off pitch
- Just plays notes without showing if you are in tune
Perfect Tuning App
It’s simple good, gives you instrument options, and is the tuner that was there for me in the beginning. It’s the OG app tuner!
Does’t say how to tune
It doesn’t show you what your pitch is. It’s just a recording of a note.
Awesome…
I love this app! Just one thing. I’m not really sure if I’m getting the note right or not. maybe in the future you could add a new feature to where you can see like how far you need to tune and maybe an introduction to tuning for beginners. I know you are probably doing all you can but just for the future
Very helpful tuner app
Best app I have found for tuning my drums.
Great App!
Excellent tuner
???
I tried it and it’s confusing how are you supposed to know if the string sound is correct? How are you going to know if the sound is correct if it never gives you a signal or sound that means the string is correct with it’s sound!
Almost Perfect
I downloaded this app because it advertises working with voiceover. That is a great feature that most tuners are lacking. As a blind person I have been looking for something to tune my many instruments with. I gave this four out of five stars and would like to have given it five except for just one thing. I sometimes play alternate tunings and these are not available at this time. My hope is that in future versions of this we can address this. That would be particularly useful for those of us who play in open tuning instruments like dobro. Overall, this is a giant step forward for me as I need at times a tuner where I do not need to use my eyes in this working with voiceover is a godsend.
What?🤨
I was trying to use it but it kept crashing. I downloaded it multiple times too. Please fix this.🎛⏲🎙🎚.
Easy use
Found the app very easy to use, and happy with it, thanks
No other tunings?
Tf man
Please Fix Guitar B String
If you like to tune by ear and/or just tune by ear to other instruments this is great little app. Can do Octaves and Tansposition. Has sine wave option if you typically prefer using a tuning fork or pitch pipe. Desperately needs the built-in recording of the Guitar B String re-recorded as half of it is screwed up.
Umm, sound?
Normally I don’t use apps to tune my viola, but I was super excited for this one because of all the great reviews! However, when I tried to play all the notes, only static came out. That might just be because of my semi broken phone though.... has the same thing happened to anyone else?
Love this app! Great sound generator for tuning
Clear, simple and well-designed app. Perfect for tuning, guitar, cello, uke, and string instruments. Great for ear training too. And for just $.99, the (quite discrete) ads go away. Highly recommended.
Not correct
The pitches are incorrect!!
Tuner +
Hi your tuner is an excellent idea. But your octaves are not standard. The violin is tuned low to high are G octave 3 D octave 4 A octave 4 E octave 5 The octave feature is great idea and could save many broken strings. I am a luthier in Canada and would recommend this tuner to all customers if the octave was correct. I hope this is helpful to you. The idea is great.
Nothing special
Deleted it, there's other better tuners
Easy, simple, straightforward
I use voiceover on my iPhone because I am blind. This application is easy to use straightforward simple, but effective.
Broken
This is a horrible app!! I tuned my cello for maybe 5 minutes and then it broke my A string! Definitely do not recommend this app.
Fantastic
Nice app
O.K
It doesn't tell me if my instrument is well tuned and doesn't sound very real. There is a bit of fiddling around but it's quite accurate.
Good for blind musicians too need their instruments by earg
I like the app very much for the multiple instruments that it can be used with to tune your instrument very easy to use and very effective on an iPhone 11 running iOS 15.6.1
Nope
The one for Viola is SOOO off!!!!! Not useful and the sound for Viola and violin isn't as sharp and clear as it should be! Fix this and you will be rewarded with 5 stars!
Tuning for all my instruments.
I can tune all of my instrument using this tool. Guitar, Bass guitar, mandolin, banjo, ukulele and violin. I haven't worked out how to tune the Native American Flute as yet, but these are built from scratch and need a different kind of tuning. The product itself is user friendly.
Ok
It works.
Nice and simple
I use one hand on the phone and one on the string, then alternatively pluck each one. It’s super easy to hear off-pitch that way for me. Then guess the amount of turn, in small upward increments. Thanks!
only for ear tuning.
All it does is play the notes for the open strings to let you try to ear tune. There are far better free apps available.
Great for what I need.
I tune by ear mostly, and this helps out a TON! Only wish there was a way to pay to remove ads, and support the dev (mostly to support the dev). Good job!
Strange
I need a needle indicator for my instrument. This just gives notes. Not what I was looking for. Good though
Great App, could not recommend more
Been using this app for years on all sorts of different instruments. All the one star reviews come from either crappy musicians who can’t figure out how to use their ears or deaf people. People saying the pitches are off but can’t even tune by ear. What a joke 😂 if you need a tuner that’ll hold your hand and tell you when everything is correct because you still are a beginner and haven’t learned how to tune by ear, use something else.
Not even a tuner
Just plays notes no mic feature, thus its not a tuner. Rubbish.
Very very handy
This is a very very handy app to have on the phone it is always with you and great if not near a piano or keyboard. There is a ring off the b string on the guitar but still. Very handy that the piano has been added makes it even better and easier to play certain notes. Also works 100% with voice over which is wonderful!!!! Thank you very much
Perfect
Gives me immediate starting point for violin -A

Ukulele didn't work. There are better apps that provide feedback based on sound received in the mic.
Pretty good
This app is ok but not the best.but it's also free!
Great Tuner
This tuner is the best! I use it frequently and love it.
Oh god.
The viola, violin and cello "tuners" are very off tune themselves. I would only recommend this app If you're musical goal is to sound like a dying zebra.
Lovely
I use this for tuning my uke :)
