Beware: data loss!
This is a strange program. I managed to get it to export a vCard file, but it’s not good. First, every entry has some fields, like X-PHONETIC-FIRST-NAME and X-PHONETIC-LAST-NAME, even for contacts which don’t have that field. Also, every field declares UTF-8 separately. Waste of space. Second, there’s a lot of bizarre (null) values sprinkled around, for no apparent reason. They don’t seem to correlate with anything. Third, and most dangerous, is that it doesn’t seem to know the proper vCard syntax, so (for example) it doesn’t escape commas. But vCard is lenient enough that this doesn’t cause parse errors. It simply means that any data after a comma will be silently discarded by a program which reads this data. If you need to get a few contacts out of iOS, this may be a decent starting point, but you’ll need to manually check each entry in the output. This is definitely not a “backup”.

Super smooth
Couldn’t get iCloud or Google sync to work on my iPhone in order to transfer contacts to an Android device. This app worked perfectly: emailed vcf to myself, opened email on Android, tapped the vcf attachment and contacts were restored.
Don’t use it
I used this app to backup my contacts then I lost all of them, I had more than thousand contacts, it also deleted my contacts from all my iCloud recovery

Backed contacts into a 503kb vcf card, but couldn’t get the email send button to go solid regardless what email address I used. It also wouldn’t connect me to the App Store to checkout the paid version
Very good!! (Small but...)
Backs up all your contact info quite easily. This is one of my top 10 apps. I also like that you can see your contacts in the backup email. So glad I found this app years ago! UPDATE: Had to drop 1 star because every time I use it it tries to make me remove photos saying 4mg might be too big for email which is ridiculous and annoying! In 2021 I complained about the app saying 3 mg might be too big to send. There hs been no update or support since then.

I really appreciate the speed this app gave me. For months I’ve tried everything and then I’m 2mins after discovering this app my contact problem has been solved. I highly recommend
Failed to add contacts
I will adjust this review if someone can show me how to make it work. However, I followed the rather simple instructions, tapped the downloaded file for 1400 contacts, but got nothing except “Failed to add contacts.”

Fine or one use case only
I’m sure the app is fine if you use the iphone’s email app. I don’t, I use the gmail app which this app doesn’t support, and since this app doesn’t store the vcf backup file anywhere accessible to me, I cannot simply attach it to an email or copy it to Drive, Dropbox etc. Dumb. Useless.

Super simple, easy and effective app. Exactly what I was looking for (backup contacts into Excel). However, took me a while to figure out how to be able to “send” the email as the “send” button was grayed out at first.

Hi I am using MyContactsBackup since 4 years but all of sudden I couldn’t back up my contacts it shows you have to purchase MyContactsBackuppro which is chargeable. If I don’t purchase this I couldn’t take backup of contacts. Is this proper way ???? Can someone suggest better app for contact backup

I had 4000 contacts and when backed up the first time it seemed alright. But when I tried to open the vCard file there was only one contact there. When I tried to back up again it told me the free version is limited to 500 contacts only.

Wasn’t able to email myself the contacts as the “send” button was disabled. Had to enter in the sever URL and download it on the desktop to retrieve the vcard. Worked out in the end so does it’s job at least.
Contact List with deprecated email, this app solved my problem!
Many of my most important contacts were in a Contact List that was using a deprecated email address. Unfortunately after searching the Internet and finding no solution that Apple natively provided I reluctantly opted to try a 3rd party app. This app exported ALL 1,000+ of my contacts and I was able to send them to myself via email. The only downside is I could NOT include profile photos due to email size limitations. Nonetheless I got the most important information via this app!
Terrible support!
There is a button to delete all contacts. I thought that it would delete all back up contacts on the app. Instead, it deleted all the contacts on my phone! I emailed the developers and they will not respond to help me get my data back! Terrible situation.

Thorough Disappointment
This app was not able to sync my contacts through email nor wifi, and then just when l finished my manual sync, it managed to delete all my contacts just with the press of a button and with no restore option whatsoever. Design is extremely old fashioned and this tool has given me a taste of pain.
SAVED ME!!! This app is PERFECTION
I had about 800 contacts saved through an email address on my old iPhone that I no longer had access to, and it wasn’t saving to icloud. MCCloud saved it all in an instant, I emailed it to the new phone and downloaded them all on there in seconds. What a lifesaver.

NOT WORKING
I have tried several times for several days and for several weeks I keep on giving this a chance and it’s not working. I don’t know what kind of a scam this is, but I’m not happy at all. It’s not nice to do this to people that really need help and backing up their contacts. A lot of people are older now and are not very computer literateand there’s apps and people and evilness out there. That’s trying to take advantage of them. Just not nice at all.

Risky!? Inflated My Data/Documents Storage!
I loved this App, but now not willing to risk backing up all of my Contacts and Notes with each of my 100’s of Contacts after the last time I did this. After I backed up my Contacts, as I normally did monthly or so, my iPhone 6 suddenly went from 40GB Free Data to 0GB Of Data!? I spent two days on the phone with Apple trying to figure out what the hell happened? The last backup I did used up a TON of Documents & Data which was minimal beforehand, and left no data for me to even use my iPhone 6 running to be able to run!? I spent about 18 hours total on the phone with Apple and still never completely finished all of what went wrong with my iPhone after that (asking for other household members’ Apple ID & Passwords for Apps, iPhone crashing constantly, Apps not working, etc. etc.). I got the phone working good enough and gave up on the smaller problems that I still face (this was a year ago btw!). This all happened immediately after using this App as I’d done many times in the past, but I just can’t risk the magnitude of problems I got after the last backup, and I’m not a phone person, so spending that kind of time troubleshooting with Apple isn’t fun. Any other recommended Apps for Contacts (and their Notes!), are welcomed!
