Great Game, but I just wasted a lot of time
I have played this game for a long time and I really enjoy it. However, recently I purchased both the crypt voyager and the Vampire Hunting Ship and I was still unable to travel to either Vampire Island or Dungeon Island despite the Vampire Hunting Ship specifically saying that it is for sailing to vampire island. I spent a lot of time getting enough money to buy them and I’m pretty annoyed about that, hence why this review is 4 stars instead of 5.
In-game purchase bugs
I played this game as a kid. I wanted to play it now because of the nostalgia I want to see all the new fishes and maps.. The game changed a lot, I like the graphics, the classic game style, and the option to do multiplayer.. HOWEVER, one major issue I am a little impatient…. so I bought some perks. I bought the $4.99 sword, $1.99 of the 100,000 coins, the diamond driller for $2.99, and another thing I got but it was in the extras section. Anyways, it shows that I own it but when my game crashed and go back to check. My coins are gone and I don’t own anything anymore. I have also read the other comments and other people are having the same trouble as me. I followed the exact steps the developer’s instructions were for this issue.. but I don’t have faith of it. I feel much safer sending a request to Apple for refund instead of this. Rather be safe than sorry.

Bug
Enjoyable game, but I can’t seem to toggle between the katanas? After buying the ikazuchi I can’t figure out how to use the kusanagi. Please help!
Game crash
The game keeps on crashing on me, every time I’m in the shop it keeps kicking me out of the game witch is kind of obnoxious since I have spent actual money on the game and more than half the time I can’t use the coins that I purchased because it keeps crashing out and the game just kicks me out all together. If you guys could please look into this I would greatly appreciate it. I would give this game a 5 star because I really do love it but I can’t since it crashes so much

Good
Fun on my old iPhone from 2012 and fun now. This game is better than fruit ninja cuz you get to play fruit ninja with fish that you catch. Looks like old bugs like fish suddenly appearing out of nowhere or the game sending another dynamite when there's one already on screen hasn't been fixed, but it's not a dealbreaker. The bigger issue, though, is that on the later islands even the shallow water fish takes a long time to cut. It's not fun, and the money it gives is not worth the effort when you can just farm on earlier islands. Buying the katana is a solution, but that means you miss out on dodging the dynamite, which is actually fun. Two tips: turn iCloud backup off because it'll keep rolling back your progress. And ignore the "use x fuel" quests. By the time you play enough to complete the quest, you'd have made way more money catching fish than you'd get from the quest.

I was about to hop in 2 new islands but i cant access both because both require ikazuchi-no-katto so game should make it require coins instead of paying for real money but coins can be painful to grind such like kusanagi-no-dynamito require 250k coins instead of $7 real money

20y later and worse than ever before
I loves this game as a kid and was excited to redownload to see how it improved only to discover that there was no improvement other than slight animation and content updates. In fact my progress is frozen 10 min in and keeps throwing the error "A new savegame has been detected from the Cloud. Restarting the game to reflect the new savegame..." Deleting/redownloading the app does nothing. Signing out/in of gamecenter does nothing. There are no account options ingame. Buying from the shop does nothing save when you close and reopen the app. I am permanently stuck at 7 fish discovered 10 min in for the entire gamecenter profile. Disappointed.
Add More Control Options
Fun game but it needs an option to just slide the hook left to right instead of having to tilt your phone. And consider maybe a drill button on each side you can press and hold at the same time so you can use the drill

Tilt mode really sucks, you should be able to tap and drag to control your fishing hook.
Crashing ruins it
I love this game and have no problems with it other than the constant crashing after I slice all the fish. Right before I claim my reward the game crashes and gives me nothing

I’ve played this game for a long time and updates are few and far between so I was excited to see a new update today and a new island. However, you can’t fish the new island unless you pay $4.99 for a new sword. Not cool.

Lost 3 dollars
I bought the “Big-O-Lantern” for 3 dollars. I got it at first but went to use it on the same account on my iPad. I didn’t get it and I sent the request to buy it on my iPad. And lost it on my phone. So basically this game scammed me out of 3 dollars. Reported this to Apple via the wallet app. Hoping to get it refunded or the in game item soon.
Pressing the play button makes app unresponsive.
Given the start rate, it makes me bummed out about this bug. The three buttons on the bottom are still responsive. I can even change the settings. I can still hear the sfx and music. But once I touch the play button, no button animation plays, and also all the buttons on the screen become unresponsive unless I close out of the game. I really do like this game as it has been a part of my childhood. Just a little bummed out that this bug exists.
A LOST ULTRA RARE GHOST SQUID
during i was fishing in the tranquil sea and encountered the ghost squid and hooked it. I was so happy until THE GAME CRASHED ME ALL THE WAY OUT!!!!. Can you please fix this.

Fun game, with glaring issues
The core gameplay loop is mindless and fun, and though rare fish can be frustrating to get, overall I have little qualms with the gameplay. There are some little annoyances, one in particular being that you can’t view your Open Water trophies or purchase Open Water lines and weights unless you have a fishing spot currently active, which is entirely unnecessary especially if you’ve fished there before. The biggest complaint I have, and it is a big one, is that after Tranquil Sea, everything becomes prohibitively expensive. Hundreds of thousands of gold for new upgrades, while on a good cast with an ad multiplier you’ll pull in maybe 20,000 gold. The newest island will cost you 624,000 gold for the last line upgrade. If you’re even mildly impatient, this pushes you towards the microtransactions extremely quickly. Overall I do like the game, but I would really appreciate some QoL improvements and a more balanced shop.
A new item idea??!
I think I got this game around 12 years ago and I’m finally writing a review for it. All and all it’s a good game to pass the time. I like how the ads are optional and it’s a good way to get more gold. I love all the new locations over the years and all the updates! (I remember when we just had Dino Island) I do miss the seasonal fish and events. The problem I’m having now is the chance rate for when rare occurs. I can probably play hours straight and not get a single dragon to appear even when I have all the Dragon Treasures. It would be cool if you guys added in a “Incense” upgrade or like a “O bucket of chum” upgrade. Something that just has the effect to make more rare fish to spawn in.

I love this game, since I was a kid playing it just seen the new content update and was pretty excited, however like many of us I’m sure we don’t play this game much anymore over the years, so please add an option to restart so I can have a fresh start from the beginning. As when I was younger I completed most of the game.

New dungeon island needs you to spend REAL MONEY to access the new island. Very disappointing how this game used to be an all time favorite, now it’s just pay to play. Please change.
The game can’t do math
I watched a video for a 5x multiplier in total I got 3416 and for the multiplier it only gave me 13 664, like common I’m not that stupid

I was loving this game. I’ve had it for quite some time. I’ve stopped playing for about a year or two but got hooked once again. I came across an issue just a few days ago though. I already had the strongest sword which can cut through the dynamite that I had paid for. I purchased the second strongest sword to have an option on which sword to play with and now my first sword is not accessible any longer which I’m not happy about since I paid the money to use it. If this problem can be resolved it would be great if not I don’t think I can continue playing this game.
Seized and won’t start
Has been working great until today. I can open the game but cannot click on start or go into settings or anything. Absolutely nothing works and cannot play. I’ve tried restarting my iPad and have closed and open the game multiple times but no luck. To me this is a 4 1/2 or five star game if this is resolved.
Poseidon Shrine Update Bugs I Found
As an experienced player of the game, I found a few major bugs regarding the new update. 1: Unlocking the new treasures (Not the ones related to restoring the shrine) crashes the game. 2: Merely clicking on the treasures menu crashes the game! 3: There are 36 total fish in the new island, yet I noticed 6 of them don’t exist on the trophies list. Some examples include the Artemis Fish and the Zeus Fish. If Gamenauts sees this review, please fix these bugs ASAP as they’re blocking essential features! Other than that, I still adore this game with my hearts content!

Love this game but I bought the diamond drill and sword that cuts dynamite and they have disappeared within two hours of buying the game. It’s annoying because it costs 12 dollars for 20 mins of using it. Please help me get them back!
