Disappointing
When you need it working… it lets you down… with errors etc… it annoys you with “your opinion is important…” popup dialog every time when you need access to your money… please stop making it “better” just make it work and then stop. Please learn one term - User Experience
Great UI, performance lacking
Used to be a really great app - I particularly loved the drag and drop feature for shifting funds between accounts. However, the app has become slow in the past 12 months for some reason which can make it a bit frustrating to use. Sort the performance issues and this would be right back up to a 4/5* banking app.
Secured and handy, easy to use
Faster way to access bank account, secured when card is being use there will be an authorisation pop-up on the app. Very handy. Thanks BNZ
App spinning no fix yet
Update 5/8/26: update to latest 18.4.0 but still this bl##dy spinning circle for a bank that makes billions and ya can’t fix ya app. This has been going on for weeks still not fix. So frustrating . Dont tell me to force close the app just fix or back date to when it work !!!Recently after logging in , try logging in later get a spinning circle and then gives up , click on the log in and nothing happens . Have uninstalled and reset up it works then doesn’t next time. Still no fix from Bnz seems . App is useless should be zero stars
Handy, but no macrons
It’s very odd in Aotearoa that such a well-designed and useful app doesn’t allow the use of macrons in payee names. No whānau, for example.

I’ve had to reset my app 3 times.

Great
Really user friendly app. Can open up an additional account within seconds. You can also give your accounts names and photos from your iPhone albums. You can pause a card too, if you’ve misplaced it
Needs fixing
Updated to this app on Wed, 29July. This latest version keeps failing to work properly with IOS version 26.5.2 and hasn't been fixed yet. I always have to restart my phone to make it work. After closing and needing to use the app again, the spinner just keeps going on and on, so I need to shuty phone down and restart again. Not a good app.
Good features
Good card management features. Didn’t give 5 stars as it doesn’t have option to set per transactions limit. It’s a useful security feature.

The new update has problem
The new update for iPhone always asked me a password to login and ignored the face id. Before it was all OK.

Recent update
After the recent update, I’m finding I can’t log in every time to the app, sometimes the keypad doesn’t even come up and sometimes it’s just a blank screen I have to shut my phone down and restart to use the app again… very poor BNZ I use this all the time

And awesome I can do topup, but considering 2deg packages are $19, it's damn annoying we can't manually enter our own topup amount. Also, since fly buys require $25 for points, we can only select $20 or $30. Fix that and it's a 5 star app!
Why did you change the colour scheme? It’s awful!
The previous colour scheme was by far preferable. What on earth possessed you to change it?

After the latest update it has stopped working!
Statements
I'd love to be able to have full access to my statements on the app. Including an option where I could email the statement up to "today's" date or closer for finance or other similar purposes.

Activity tab doesn’t work for my customer number . Raised a complaint in2022 still unresolved. Will take this up bankobudsman now.
