What people like
- Radar works fine for many
- Notifications alert about conditions well
- Home page packs lots of info
- Easy to check school closings
What they complain about
- Ads interrupt you constantly
- App crashes and glitches often
- Removed dewpoint info users need
- Radar only shows twelve hours
Great
I really like the home page, lots of info in a compact format. Daily and hourly can be expanded for details. I haven’t had any issues with the school closings button like another reviewer said. Remember, weather can change right up to the minute it hits your neighborhood, so complaints about inaccuracy should be taken with a grain of salt. Also saw in a negative review that the wind readings didn’t change for days - gee sorry that technology is glitchy sometimes.
No Humidity
No humidity or dewpoint in the hourly or daily forecasts makes this app useless to me.
Traffic map
The weather part as a follow me part and works. But the traffic part doesn’t follow and goes to Eden Prairie. For the most part we likes the app.
Doesnt work abroad
App works fairly well in US but definetly doesnt work internationally.
Sometimes its right sometimes it’s wrong
Sometimes it’s right sometimes it’s wrong
Good so far. Nice radar
I like the 24 hour future radar. Overall formatting looks good.
Not good
The raider is an hour or two behind the actual weather, forecast not accurate, traffic? The only thing that I like is the map to zoom in on a location
Golf Weather
Would you please give golfers a blow by blow hourly forecast for ours an western Wi forecasts on rain. Once during your show? I would look at that timeframe all spring-fall. Help!
Not great
Lots of bugs, crashes, incomplete data, etc. No bueno
24 hour radar
I really like this app, but lately the 24 hour future radar is only showing 12 hours into the future. It is not showing the full 24 hour future radar. This happens on my iphone and ipad.
Love, Love, Love
This is the first app I open everyday.
Radar doesn’t work
Incredible!! I’m out of the country and when I open the app it shows the current conditions of my hometown BUT it’s greyed out and the app freezes with the message that it doesn’t work at the current location!!! What a piece of …. How stupid!!!
Latest update
Why? Just tell me why the fly in from the right to my location when you click the radar is an improvement? Annoying. Dumb. Just open to the saved location. How hard is that? Practical. Logical.
Ok but not great
Weather map only shows 12 hrs worth before it stalls for the 24 hr timeframe.
Fix the hr scroll
I don’t like that the hourly option changes when I try to quick scroll through the day! There is an option to get to hourly details and I like that but mostly I want to scroll across the page to see the temp for the day!
Works for Me
I haven’t had a problem with this app. The radar works fine and I get notifications about certain conditions just like FOX Weather. Glad to see the FOX9 logo finally got updated when the station gave it an updated look. I use this app very frequently so I’m glad to have it in my lineup 👍🏻
Traffic
Your update didn’t work! Opens showing Eden Prairie-I live in Ham Lake. There is no dot to show where I live. It lacks real time info. The last couple of new updates didn’t live up to expectations! Thanks Bill
Payment
Since when do I have to pay for Fox nine weather app I never did before.
Stop hourly view auto-switching to vertical view format!
I prefer only viewing the left<->right hourly view of conditions… BUT your app (now) always default switches to a vertical scrolling view 🫤. Please make that a user preference/choice… -to scroll left/right OR vertical setting- NOT always default switching to the vertical view, ASAP! Pleeeese? Thank you!
Where’s the dewpoint??
I recently did the update and now there is no dewpoint listed on the home page! Why, oh why, would you remove that important bit of weather info? This was my go to app for weather. But it’s pretty useless without the dewpoint listed. Really disappointed.
Livestream Broke
Last update broke livestream. Now it just a blank white screen.
Cannot delete locations
I tried to clean up the list of one time use locations but the 3 dots menu does not have that option! Otherwise it’s been a consistently good app. Please fix this issue.
It seems more efficient to use the web browser. Most articles are just a short paragraph and you need to select “see more”, which takes you to the website to get the details…
Dew Point not listed anymore
Sadly, the dewpoint is not listed on this app anymore. This is info I need to know in the humid summer weather in MN. Changed to a weather app that includes this info. I hope you guys get it back because I like the local app
New update sucks
The new update with the new radar sucks, it’s glitchy and centers on Washington every time I open it. Whose bright idea was it to change it to this garbage, fire them.
TOO MANY ADVERTISEMENTS
I open the app and all I see is ads and weather that is not in my area. I can watch the tv for that information. I set this app up for my location and this is the weather I want to see. Also, supposedly there is a “new look”, which I can’t get, so I deleted the app and re-added it, and nothing changed.
New update
The update today RUINED this app. I am searching for something NEW and having to add a nickname is JUST STUPID
Not reliable
App crashes a lot. The forecast in the app doesn’t even match the tv forecast.
Fix your radar functionality
Your radar is always wrong. Compared to other apps your radar is totally off. Could you please fix this so this is accurate. How can you tell people to trust your app when the radar is always completely wrong. Thanks!
“Not available for your location”
This app usually works great but we are vacationing in Mexico, the same place we always go and I’ve NEVER had an issue. Now I pull it app and every single time I get an error that I can’t bypass. So it renders my app useless. So frustrated!!
Adds are to much
The adds are over the top without any option to pay for an add free version. There are so many adds imbedded into every aspect and feature that it is simply unusable. That and the incessant weather alerts makes this app a 1-star.
Frustrating
This has long been my go-to local weather app, but one of the recent updates changed the screen sensitivity, making it impossible to scroll through the info provided by the app. An attempt to scroll is misinterpreted as a long touch, causing the app to open a different screen. It’s frustrating enough for me as a user that I’m just about to delete the app from my devices.
So inaccurate
This weather app is so inaccurate like it keeps saying that it’s gonna storm when it’s not, absolutely disgusting weather app of all time
Radar future cast pointless
Gives a fast paced. 8 hour forecast of what may come Now way to shorten to say next hour and slow the pace. Especially important during weather events. Why does speed not match that of the broadcast.
