I enjoy this app very much.Only problem it consumes to much of my time when I start playing it.Time just flies.I would recommend this app to others.
IT SUCKS. READ BEFORE GETTING.
There is literally an option to copy someone’s entire song and Reupload it. I don’t gaf if credits are automatically included, this is bad. It also PINPOINTS where you are on the map! It is hard to compose a song on the ugly interface, and the piano sounds like something out of the dumpster! Don’t waste your time. Plus the ads make me want to puke.
Smoola
Okayyyyy so overall it’s a really great game to just like chill and relax. My one problem is that smoola are way too hard to get and songs cost so much of it. Maybe making the songs cheaper would be better. 🤷🏻♀️
Dead Space
For some reason, when I play any song whether it’s normal or a sing-along, there is a dead space for the notes. On the lower half of my screen, the game simply doesn’t register my taps and it’s unbelievably frustrating. I can be tapping the screen and it just won’t register ANYTHING for a so,id 3-4 seconds, which when you’re playing a fast song is extremely damaging to your score. PLEASE figure out what’s causing this issue.
Composer needs improvement 😔
I do deeply feel the composer needs more improvement. Here are my 2 suggestions. First, I think the composer could use more notes below the second octave because a piano has notes below c2. Second, I want to add tempo changes in my music. I think it will add help add effect. I’m not saying this game is down bad but I mainly just want the composer to be better which is why I gave it 3 stars.
One of the best music apps!!
I’ve been using magic piano since 2017 and have enjoyed it ever since. Made so many memories over time, while making some songs myself. Definitely recommend using this app if you’re bored or love music, especially with the piano.
Warning! App software crashes new iPhones
I absolutely loved this app several years ago! I’m not sure what happened to it, but I’m devastated 😭 Now it crashes after <5 min, completely freezing everything even with a brand new iPhone. Every time I’ve tried this app, I’m inevitably forced to power down + restart my phone. What on earth?
Amazing app. But..
So this is a really great app, but recently I’ve been experiencing an annoying bug that makes the game slightly unplayable. The composer just. Wont. Load. Every time i try to load it the screen changes to a darker purple and the loading signal stays there. Overall this app is amazing!
What happened to my song library!?
Another great app has been ruined by a pointless mandatory update. I loved Magic Piano as it was and played it whenever I was feeling stressed, so I played it often. Loved the look of it, the sounds, the songs and the scoring. Unfortunately 6.1.1 was released and when I tried to play my older version of it, I couldn't. Kept getting pulled to the update page. Having no choice other than deleting it, I updated. Man what a mess it is now! It looks visually as bad as Apple's IOS 7. The font type is very light and thin, there's way too much white background, and the song titles are nearly impossible to read. And a new design of light pastel colors too. So although the songs are still fun, the song title screen looks horrible and I don't play it as often. I certainly won't be purchasing any more titles for it. The point about updates is allowing choice. Some people might love it. But don't FORCE people into it. I hate it now. Please update and bring back the cool original look. Apple made a design mistake and so have you. I'm also having a lot of stress over the relentless ads that pop up. Some of them, the Disney one for instance does not go away. I have to literally close the app and re-open it. I don't recall the other versions being so advertising heavy. Please remove all these annoying commercials and let us simply play piano.
Composer won’t open
I really like this game so far but my composer won’t open?? It just stays on the loading screen whenever I try to open it. I don’t know what’s going on or how to fix it. I’d really like to use the composer. I’d also like this app much better if we could work on multiple pieces at once?? It seems like you can only compose one song at a time, I think you should be able to have multiple projects at once.

Great app!
I honestly love this app. I’ve played it for years anytime I was bored or just wanted to listen to piano versions of my favourite songs. One thing though… For some odd reason, I can’t open songs in the composer, even when It says I can— and that’s fairly annoying.
Game Ruined
I had this app when I was a kid. I loved it. And it was accessible. Now it has been ruined with ads and pushes a $10/week or $20/month membership if you want the same experience I had for free as a kid. You can only earn 5 coins by watching an ad, which is outrageous. And every time you play a song an ad plays after and you don’t earn any coins for that. You only start off with 3 songs so there is no incentive to play unless you get a membership. I won’t be giving into that. It’s really a shame because I used to love this app.
Composer broken
This game is fun and I enjoy using the composer. However, for the past two weeks, the composer won’t load. Is there a way to fix this?

there’s so much that I hate about this app. YOU LITERALLY can’t get songs unless you pay real money I’ve been ragebaited by this app my whole life it’s hard to play I literally learned real piano so I would never have the misfortune to play this app ever again please take it down (this is half joking I still hate it)
Enjoyable, but weird timing
I used to play this all the time—like, every spare moment. It was a beautifully smooth experience. Somewhere along the way, though, the way the notes travel to the “action line” changed. I like the way you can change the tempo of a song by playing at your own pace, faster or slower than intended. However, trying to keep a consistent tempo is hard because the notes scroll at variable speeds. If there are notes on every beat it’s fine, but if there’s supposed to be a rest between notes, instead of treating the gap between notes like an intentional feature, the notes high up on the screen zoom really fast to the line. This means that the game basically forces you to play the next note before you’re supposed to. If you try to wait to play it in order to stay on beat, the game penalizes you for playing “too slow” and you lose your score/combo multiplier. I would love if this could somehow be altered or calibrated! I started playing less and less because of this issue. I really enjoy rhythm games, but this one sort of breaks the “rules” of a rhythm game when it doesn’t let you stay true to the rhythm. Sorry for the trouble! Thanks for creating this game. I still enjoy it on days when I have a little more patience.

Composer feature stuck on loading screen
I’ve been mainly using this app for some time just for the daily challenges and yes, the composer feature so I can make songs or classical pieces. It's been good for the most part, but since last Friday, said feature suddenly stopped working. It's just stuck on the loading screen. I thought it was just lag but nope, it stays on said screen. Did they quietly remove the feature without telling us? If it's just a bug, fix it as well please, thanks. And just so you know, this app's last update was about a year ago.
Love it but afraid they will stop supporting it
I don’t understand why people think this is too hard. I’ve been playing it for years and never had a VIP or watch the ads and have over 600 songs. I probably have over 700, but smule keeps losing them off my list. I understand that the storage might be limited, but I wish they gave me the option to dump the free stuff I got and didn’t like and keep the stuff I want. It’s still free to play, but doesn’t show up on my list so I have to hunt for them to play them. The other objection I have is that you can’t earn any more smula after you get to the highest level, but I can understand why since I’m not paying them anything. I’m just afraid that it is so old they will stop supporting it and there’s no way to preserve what I have any more. I will really miss it when it’s gone.

Great game, however as of recent (Sep/24) you have some add issues, when it comes to closing the add you cannot actually see the full screen so you cannot actually close the add forcing you to exit the game all the time and start again.

It's a fun app, but the economy is busted.
This is what I imagine Zimbabwe is like. You get 1-2 Smoola per achievement, and only one Smoola for leveling up, despite every song costing 24, and leveling up being extremely time consuming. You have to spend so much money to make money in this game. I like the gameplay and the composer. I usually just compose a song instead of buying it because of how busted the money system is. Fix this. You have one day.

This game is extremely nostalgic for me, one of the original games I had on my iPhone, probably back in the 2011-2013 range. The game needs a major update. Do I think the game itself is 2 stars? No not entirely. But I put this here as it needs a lot of work.

TOO MANY ADS
I love this game so much but what stops me from playing it is the amount of ads you get. When you go to play a song, there's an ad and when you go to leave that same song, there's another ad. This happens every single time. Please lower the amount of ads or put none at all.

Too many ads and it just seems like a gamble for money you can’t earn enough smules AT ALL and the way it was made just looks a bit outdated and it just seems like they want you to buy your way through the game instead of actually enjoying it stop putting so much ads, too many ads is what makes a game outdated also because newer and better games just don’t have them I deleted it within five minutes

(i have emailed this to you guys too) Hello, I’ve loved your games since I was very young, but I especially love the Magic Piano game. My account name is “GIANNAM00” and I am currently on level 13. However, I find the game to be very unfair. It is extremely hard to earn enough smoola to be able to afford a new song, especially considering I have reached 3 stars in each level of the songs I currently have, and you dont receive nearly as much XP playing the songs a second time. I have played the same songs nonstop and on repeat, and I really would love to be able to purchase more songs. On my phone, it does not let me watch ads to recieve more smoola or recieve more smoola other ways. When i press it, it loads for a while and then tells me I cannot. I have also reached all of the achievements i can until I eventually reach the next level, which at this point would take a very long time. I also find it unfair that after the long amount of time it takes to reach the next level, you only recieve one smoola and one new song. I love this game, as it helps my anxiety and its genuinely a relaxing game, but the negatives of this game are starting to overpower the positives, and the game is starting to loose its appeal for me. I hope your team will take this into consideration, and possibly change some aspects of your game, because I know that it would be even more popular and more appreciated if so. Thank you!

Ruined by ads
This was good when I purchased it many years ago, and back then it was easy to use. Now it uses ads and it’s not worth the time it takes to use it.
Fun, but buggy
Pretty fun but I’ve picked up on some bugs. When composing, even though I’m only tapping one note, it keeps adding other ones. Very frustrating. Also very laggy. The devs probably won’t change this and I understand why but it really bothers me how difficult it is to get smoola. Either way they’re getting paid - through ads or through purchase of in game currency, but it’d be nice if it were easier to get them because the whole point of the game is to play songs
enjoyable to an extent
i do enjoy this game when i’m bored with nothing to do. what makes magic piano unenjoyable is the obnoxious paywalling. it’s a very prominent aspect of this app. 1. almost EVERYTHING is vip or costs smoola (will come back to smoola) 2. £10 for a week of vip is insane. you can get advanced nitro on discord for a month for the same price 3. no separate shop for smoola. to get 5 or 10 smoola, you have to some dodgy survey. you get a maximum of 2 smoola for each achievement, which most of the achievements require you to BUY songs which cost 25+ smoola 3.5. you have to buy vip to get smoola or all songs without paying a pro is that you get one chance of a free trial vip overall, could get 4 stars if there’s no over-paywalling. i understand that the app needs monetisation, but this is too much. before you download this app, just a note that this game demands a lot of real life money and you’ll be stuck with the same few songs.

Girl in underwear featured in ad!!!
My 10 year old boy has shown interest in learning piano. He was enjoying some familiar songs in this app when an ad popped up for Love Island which featured an animated girl (woman?) in bra and panties acting all coy and suggestive. It’s one of those ads that you can’t exit from and you have to wait through it all. I know the app doesn’t have complete say in every ad, but user beware, they do not screen their advertisers for age appropriate content. We deleted the app, but this incident prompted me to search Smule’s app and if this is their norm. Turns out that they also have chat features where strangers can connect and rate and comment on their songs. Other apps allow you to record yourself while singing and upload the video for review of public. This leads to access to your kids, their voice, and image, and also private conversations with strangers. Please be aware!!!!

Every time I try to get smoola coins the ads always end up broken. In the end I get nothing.
I’ve been playing this since the early 2000’s so,
I cannot understand why I cannot be grandfathered into some kind of “keep my own music clause” because I have earned all of my achievements a looooooong time agoooo, and really there is nothing left for me to do because apparently you guys lost your way on adding new levels after we reach the end! Alright if I am at the end where I should be seeing some credits by now if it were a movie and then finishing up and turning it off, it nooo I just sit here and patiently wait, year after year, for new levels, achievements or some of my songs BACK PLEASE THAT I HAVE ALREADY EARNED OR PAYED SMULA FOR! Come on guys! Get with the program, or should I say when you find the program I would very much appreciate if you guys could expand it or let me have what I’ve rightfully earned after faithfully being a user after all of these years??!!??!?
My all time favourite game
I’ve been playing this game since I was 11 and i’m 21 now and it’s been my favourite game since i started playing. it’s so addictive and fun and the staff are lovely and always happy to help out when you need it.
Composer stopped working entirely
I mainly use this app for the composer function to make arrangements and such, but one day it just froze on a loading screen and turned darker for some reason. I tried signing out and back in, deleting and reinstalling, etc, but it’s just stuck on that same loading screen in the composer menu. Please fix this fast

I wanna give it a four or five, but I can’t… today.
It’s a fun little app and people can even make their own versions of songs that are familiar to you, including you. You can make one… But it’s like for everything they added. It just made the apple a little bit more frustrating and a little bit worse… I swear the timing is off ever so slightly ever since they added all the xtra…. Anyway, too huge complain complaints of mine one when you go to search and you search for something you know you have in your library… It may not even tell you any results that it gets from your library. It just looks for whatever it can find online. There’s a song I know I have, but I didn’t know who did it… so I literally had to just go through my entire list of songs and hope to get lucky which I did, but it took 20 minutes… to find one song that I just really really really wanted to play and hear. And you are no longer able to watch ads to get smaller to buy new songs because despite being up to Apple’s code, which is bull… Their abs don’t work they go half screen meaning that you cannot collect out of them meaning you cannot earn reward, which is disgusting for an app that is free and expects people to pay for tokens, but gives them the option to watch ads… and then denies them the reward from doing so. And a year later, it’s still not fixed. Give your apple a little love, not happily bump it back up to four or five but honestly, it doesn’t look like you’ve been giving it love for a long time … just monetizing
There Is 3 Things You Should Fix
(1) The composer is missing keys. The only BARE MINIMUM is the C note octave 2. Why can’t the lowest be the A note octave 0? That makes no sense! What should you do: add more lower keys! (2) When I tried to view inside the computer, IT DOES BARELY ANYTHING! NOTHING AT ALL! THIS IS BROKEN! 3 STARS! What should you do: fix if you can! (3) Why can’t be the tempo BE MORE MORE THAN 220 BPM! Why is there only two time signatures 3/4 and 4/4? I TRIED MAKING A SONG IN 9/8 TIME! NONSENSE! What should you do: add more time signatures or add a custom option! The bottom part of the time signature have the options like 1, 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, and 64.
