Very Usefull
This app shows a lot of the weather around my area and is definitely more accurate than some other apps I tried.
STOP THE AUTO PLAY VIDEOS OMG
Why did you do this app?? It’s horrific. The auto play video thing with volume is going to make me stop using NBC15 entirely! This is so obnoxious. App is not pleasant to use either. The old one was just fine. Why’d you waste the money on developing this??
It’s messed up again
The morning show is gone again. That is how I start my day. Update. I’ve stopped using this app and started using ZEAM to watch VODs
Good app but...
There are so many typos it drives me insane. Does no one proof read this stuff?
Do better
The app is buggy and hard to use.
Old version was better
The new version is cumbersome. Did you do any user testing? The user has to wait for an ad to run before going to the app. Other key features have changed. A little tutorial on the changes would have been helpful.
The update NEEDS an update!
I like the look of the update but it’s a mess otherwise. No menu to select from sports, news, settings. Even though I go into the alerts it still shows notifications for an alert. If you go out of out it then come back into it immediately, you have to wait for the ad which is so annoying. I don’t want videos to play automatically, like never! Also so annoying. I want to like it but this new update is rather terrible.
Bad
Main page doesn’t show news headlines, just photos. And most links to weather direct you to the App Store to download their standalone weather app. For Madison news, WKOW is much better.
Dale
Since you changed the format it’s lousy, I will look for local news elsewhere. Why did you change a good thing that didn’t need fixing?
No Dew point
Please add the Dew point.
Awful Writing and Editing
Quality local news can be tough to find, but the writers at NBC15 are so consistently awful that I can’t give this source more than 1 star. There are examples of unprofessional language and/or grammatical errors every day. The only stories that are written well are from external sources.
Can’t read
When you overlap ads on top of the article, how are you supposed to read it. I will delete this app after this review. Thanks for nothing.
Hate the update
Just noticed the app updated today and I absolutely hate it. There was nothing wrong with the app and tried to make it better and it was a swing and a miss. Unfortunately I’ll be deleting until hopefully something gets fixed and back to the old one. Also won’t clear notifications even when there not on and that number is driving me nuts.
Keeps Crashing!
This would be a very good app if it did not keep crashing when I’m trying to watch the latest news broadcast or open up other features not on on the homepage. Come on NBC15 please fix this!
What the heck!
You found new ways to make your app unusable. Forced audio ads in addition to the forced written adds. Hello 3 and 27!
Stupid ads preventing access to news now
A postage stamp sized ad appears when the Home->News is selected (or when News is selected from the entry page). Difficult to get fresh news in Madison / south central Wisconsin and this app doesn't always help. I would have rated this app 4 stars a couple of years ago but my rating has dropped as the app deteriorated.
Stop the videos.
Version 5.0.1 March 2026. I can live with the new setup and the unfortunate lack of graphics in weather, but why can’t I easily stop the video from playing? Video should only play when I want and should only be relevant to the story I am reading. It seems that these videos are practically random. This app is going to be deleted from my phone.
Too many ads; can't get to the news
I'm letting go of this app. Too many ads.
Lame Change
WAY TOO MANY Ads & Commercials ! I like the Older version .
Is it the 90's?
Dated font, & default size is tiny, the setting to change it failed to work. The menus froze & sharing was sluggish. It looks dated, like what you'd see on a website in the 90's. Content was not updated to things that were just on the news. iOS app.
Ugh
I just want local news not a 15 second loading screen and the same lame ad for a month at a time.
Too limited.
Not enough content.
