Great Game App
Thanks for creating a great app for cribbage enthusiasts. Of all the ones I’ve tried this is the best of ‘em.
Not realistic
Playing brutal is not realistic. You don’t get good hands ever. Computer always gets a good cut. It should be a competitive match play for pegging no making it impossible by always playing against strong hands and not getting any strong hands or cuts.
Good game, interface could be better
Deal is good and random, no hint of deal bias at strongest level of play (as far as I can tell after a few hundred hands played so far). Interface is definitely playable but (imho) could do with the scores being first displayed then added to the board after the “OK” is pressed to allow a little longer to review the scores? I like that the scoring is displayed with two pegs (as in a real game) so that you can see both where you end and where you started for each score.
Ads too long

Needs Refinement
I love cribbage. I learned to play when I was seven years old, sitting at the kitchen table with my grandparents as they patiently and enthusiastically taught me the rules, strategies, and nuances of the game. Of all the cribbage apps I’ve tried on iOS, this is one of the best. I’ve downloaded several but I keep coming back to this one. That said, there are a few areas that could use refinement. The gameplay interface is a little confusing at first, although it becomes much easier once you get used to it. My biggest issue, however, is the AI. I play at the highest difficulty, and it becomes ridiculously predictable. When the AI is losing, it seems like 99 times out of 100 it suddenly gets exactly the hand it needs to catch up or win. The cards may technically be dealt randomly, but the results often don’t feel random. Hands worth 12 or more points should be relatively uncommon, yet the AI seems to get them with surprising frequency, often more than half the time. The win and loss streaks feel similarly predictable. I’ll win a couple, then lose a couple, almost like clockwork. That also makes tracking streaks feel somewhat pointless. Overall, this is a very good cribbage app with a ton of potential. With some refinements to the gameplay, interface, and especially the AI, I think it could easily be the best cribbage app available on iOS.

Finally can play w/ fam
I love this app, aside from the usual banners for free version. It’s easy to use and has helped me finally learn to play for real, so I can hold my own during family visits. I love the hints!
“None of the fluff” means lots of ads still
Forced ad at the end of each game, banner ads at the bottom and a ton of pop up’s. It’s like the developer is selling out or something.
Love it BUT
I wish we could just get random shuffling. I get repeat hands and I know what my opponent is going to have. Sometimes I even know when I’m going to get skunked after only two hands. I don’t have an eidetic memory but I do remember. Maybe I play too much!!’
Multi player
The multiplayer tournament mode is too fast. A person doesn’t even have time to take a sip of drink or a bite of a snack before having to play. I understand pace of play is important but so is learning how to hold your hand and what to discard or play on the counter 31.

The game is good, but I’m tired of seeing ads for companies that feature junk and trashy pictures.

They only let you play one game of cribbage and then they go to a commercial and try to get you to download all these games and it takes forever if you say no and half the time you can’t get back into the game

The player level on the last update from 98 to 99 required step was 6,400. 99 to 100 went to 32,000.

Play it long enough and you'll see especially with the multiplayer. Just doesn't match traditional cards.

Cheats
A simply astounding number of 12 to 24 point hands and cribs across multiple, multiple games. Never ever anything seen in actual random game play. I will certainly not be paying for this app. The developer may claim otherwise, but this is not a random experience. In “Brutal” mode the only thing in the AI’s favor is a rigged deck. I consistently make the best discard decisions and win the pegging battle, but you can’t overcome straight cheating.
Better than others, ads still terrible
Out of the handful, this is the only one worth playing when you don’t have a real partner. Ads are still TERRIBLE.

Too many Ad
It’s fun but recently there is at least 1 Ad after every quick game! And it costs $7 just to remove an ad, other games’ ad free only cost $1 to $3 Max! Please make it cheaper. Also, for some reason there are more and more creeps in the game…
Goldilocks Game
Not too hard, not too easy. Am playing at the “challenging” level and may bump up to “brutal” as the robo player sometimes makes really bonehead choices when discarding. Still usually outpegs me, though (my weak spot). Congrats to the developer for a great game!

The most unrealistic cribbage I’ve e ver played
Great learning tool
Love the score and the potential play breakdown. Very useful tool. I thought I knew how to play cribbage, but this app has improved my play a lot. I am disappointed that it’s difficult to find friends and you can’t send an invitation to friends to join the app and play with you. I also wish that they would allow a non-real time gameplay between two people.

Predictable Card Play
It’s a decent app, but it’s so irritating that it’s predictable when you play cards first. 98% of the time, if you have a 6, the auto game plays a 9, same with 7/8 and 5/10+. Also about 80% of the time it has a double or triple card, like if you lay a 10, they lay a 5, and you then lay a 5, it of course has another 5. It’s whatever, not high quality app, but still a “bug” I’d like to see fixed. The hand ratings is kinda dumb, so I don’t really pay attention to it. Re: Developer’s Response; Sure it’s not “stacking the deck” or anything, just saying there’s a consistency in how the cards get played. 🤷♀️

Unrealistic hands dealt
Unrealistic hands being dealt. I’ve never witnessed so many high scoring hands in a game (1000+ games played in the app)…Just to warn you, if you’re new to competitive matchmaking in the app, you’re going to need to score an average of 12 points a hand (besides pegging) to have a chance at winning against these players with more tournaments under their belt.
Overall decent but some unrealistic scenarios
I have played Cribbage my whole life and when playing the highest cpu level, you are playing against bad luck vs good luck. Basically the CPU is getting all of the big hands and the player is getting mediocre hands. The game rates your crib discard and I was scoring almost perfect each time but the hands were garbage for 2 straight games while the cpu was getting 16-20 point hands throughout. It’s not realistic….

Grew up playing cribbage with my family, this app allows me to continue to play with them even though we don’t live together
Would love to give more stars.
The ads won’t go away. Then I have to close and reopen the app. Then it makes me watch another ad. Like it’s annoying enough to make me pay for no ads, but pisses me off enough to make me not want to pay for the app.
Don’t like the update
Ever since the update I actually play far less games. After playing crib for 50 years do not need help with telling me if it’s a good hand or not. Find the update frustrating and by the time you get to where you can rechallenge the player they have long gone
Decent game but too much ad time
You will lose about half of your time to stupid kingdom ads
Computer scaling is a bit ridiculous.
If you win too many games in a row, suddenly the computer becomes the best crib player in the world. Once it beats you, it goes back to the regular skill level you set it at. Other than that, it’s all good.
