Can’t see plane
I’ve signed up for premium Plane Finder/flight tracker today to follow my husband from Danang to Hong Kong and the flight can’t be found, what is the use in signing up for premium?
A good website just has some flaws.
Plane Finder is a good website for those plane crazy or even those who aren’t plane enthusiasts (like me) just heads up they will ask you to sign in a lot and use premium.
Downgraded again
The positive with this app over some others is the ability to click on just military, for instance. Others need more actions for the same detail. The negatives are building however. Now there’s a ‘new improved’ pop up blob on the lower left of the screen appearing if I happen to touch anything but an aircraft for more info. Didn’t do that before - or it seemed far less intrusive at least. If there was a settings option I’d hide that. Also, as has been the case for a few years, Flight Radar 24 (as an example) has far more aircraft identified than this. To be honest, a big reason I stuck with this app is the reduced legacy rate and the assumption that if I ended subs and re-applied at a later date, the annual/monthly cost might likely be higher.

Adore this app HUGELY RECOMMEND
I am a flying fan and former PPL and our son is now an airline pilot. So although there’s flying in our blood there doesn’t have to be to enjoy plane finder. My son and I have used it since it first launched and he was a teenager declaring ‘I need to fly’ (know the feeling): but my teenage Goddaughter adores it to - for the geography, learning, fabulous way to see the world and simple WOW! Factor. Thank you plane finder!
Real bad
Bought this, never again, I live in Cornwall and no end of aircraft cross here to the USA but do they show up on this no, seven went across today and I checked each one, nothing to see here skies all clear, so don’t waste your money, I’m looking elsewhere, oh and I did email support about this, no reply, well done
Love where it’s headed, but just needs a little work.
Would like to see an evening / night time sky with city lights (if possible) for the 3D map. Would also love an update on the aircraft types and liveries (most AC types are not accurate, such as, for example, the 777 series displays more of a 332 model in 3D map) Thanks, happy flights. Edited: thanks for the update aircraft! , hope to see more updated aircraft models, and more liveries! 737Max and BCS type aircraft. Is it possible to rework the B777, and trim the edges just a bit? It looks like the A359 series. Thanks.

After sometime using this app, it is miles better than FR24 and more importantly free users are valued just as much as premium users when it comes to basic functionality; this is something that FR24 has now neglected as of recent. I have had no regrets making this switch and actually enjoyed the more intuitive UI and smoother flight tracking.

Great plane tracker but has a bad feature
I used this for a while and then it tried to tell me I had a virus on my phone and I had to install this scam virus ejector or it will destroy my sim in 2 minutes Do not click install it also always wants you to pay a subscription. Do not recommend
Great but would pay for a premium membership if…
Love the app but there’s a feature no-one provides. I’d love the to be able to download the flight path of my flight and using the predicted journey time, to just get an indication on the map where I am in the airspace around me. I love high altitude photography and love knowing what is outside my window but there are no apps that make this available. Come on people!!

The app needs to open to your location rather than the whole country.
Good but comes with issues
Allows you to see information about planes for free but comes with heavy adverts which can cause planes to fly away before you see any information. There’s also ads that can easily be clicked by mistake which take you to virus bait websites.

SCAM WARNING: They removed Lifetime Access for existing users!
I previously purchased the Lifetime Premium version on their old app. However, the developers shut down that app, launched this "new" version with the exact same functionality, and stripped away my Lifetime status just to force a recurring subscription. I have contacted support multiple times regarding my legitimate Lifetime access, but they are ignoring my emails and avoiding responsibility. This is dishonest and a clear violation of user trust. Restore legacy Lifetime accounts immediately!

Limited help
App is many times delayed. Flights arrive minutes before the app uploads their flight has landed. Also App only allows tracking of 10 flights which is a challenge as I am a personal driver and can meet many incoming flights per week and always have to update it

Lacking Features and Overpriced
Used to love Plane Finder and paid for the original app years ago, but the new version is a letdown. It’s now a subscription app with fewer features than Flightradar24, and they didn’t honour the one-time fee we already paid. It’s also missing key features like: No 3D cockpit view No weather overlays Basic historical playback Limited aircraft and airport info (missing lots of photos of GA aircraft that Flightradar24 has) The subscription is overpriced for what you get. Flightradar24 gives you more detail, better tools, and a richer experience. This feels like a downgrade, not an upgrade.
Limited Options
I have the subscription. I would like to track a specific flight and get updates on it hourly, delays, routes or specific zone like airport arrivals for specific geofence. Not much is available here
3D for free
Best flight tracker on the store but 3D for free will be the cherry on top. I believe that having the 3D for free would make this app even more popular as well as allowing people to track their friends and family’s flights in an interesting and unique way without paying any money. Kind regards.
Update on the downward spiral of this app
It’s been nearly a year now with planes being in the air with no logos. I was told they were stripping flight logos from airlines operated as franchises so the paper company logos would apparently start appearing instead of the logos for the actual airlines people are buying tickets from and indeed the liveries. So Aer lingus regional flights will have emerald airlines logos, air Canada express will have jazz logos. These are companies no one even knows about so what’s the point?? It’s like Pepsi or Coca Cola removing their branding and replacing it with the logo of the bottling company. It seems they are doubling down on the misinformation. We now have Air Canada flights operating in to London Heathrow with Air Canada Rouge flight logos. An airline that doesn’t even operate to Heathrow let alone have the livery on the side of the plane. I will never know why the staff maintaining the app have nuked the accuracy of their app. The fact they are currently advertising their app to people to check what flight is in the sky is just laughable. Chances are they will completely mislead you.
Not working
Loved this app, introduced to me in the U.K. by my granddaughter, but now that I am back in Australia it will not pick up the planes and we see many living close to an airport. Can you help?
Don’t bother
Finally uninstalled the app. As someone who purchased the app along time ago, I felt a bit disgruntled with the subscription service. New features were rarely even added. Now the free version has ads it’s a complete waste of time

Every time I open the app, I get the same pop up blocking my screen. Otherwise, great app. Tells me what I need to know.

Bizarre Upgrade Messages
I’m Interested in getting the upgrade but conflicting plans keep popping up. One shows an offer for $19.99/yr that shows an error when you attempt to purchase it. Then you are immediately forwarded to the $24/yr plan…seems legit. Ended up going with Flightradar24 for $17/yr.

How many tracking cookies!
I wanted to use these app to track my flights when I go on holiday, but straight away found myself toggling multiple tracking options to off before getting to use the app. No app should use so many companies to track what a user does. There must have been at least 50 different companies. Gave up in the end and never got to use the app.

It is fun to use, but almost everything requires a subscription. Stick to flightradar24
Features don’t work
Paid for full features. Most don’t work. Alerts don’t work. Don’t get notifications (yes they are turned on) Customer service doesn’t respond to help requests.

I wasn’t happy that I had paid for the previous version only to loose it on the upgrade.

I love the game it’s full of airplanes, but the only downside is that you have to do some subscriptions to like unlock features but most of all it’s great. Please listen to my review.

It’s kinda of strange the way they use the map, and the arc the planes take…. Planes don’t fly in huge arcs like they have this app would make you think…. If this app used an Ariel Aviation Map it would make a lot more sense. A flight from Tokyo to Helsinki…. Doesn’t fly North up around Greenland and then come back down south to Helsinki…. Makes zero sense
It’s just a “plane” shame….
I have been using this app for a few years now and it has always been just the best showing details of aircraft. My partner and I wait for RAAF planes to fly over and identify them. Since the latest update the app has been ruined. Most of the planes details are now either non existent or hidden via payment. Seems greed has unfortunately and eventually encompassed this once great app too. Once again. Not broken, doesn’t need fixing…
