Great platform
pixiv is great by itself. App is very convenient too. I wish there was a function to disable R-18 works, though. Nonetheless, I absolutely love the app.
Permanent ads
You get random full screen ads that have no way of being closed, forcing you to restart the app if you want to keep using it
One of the better art galleries
I like pixiv a lot. It's where I post my stuff the most and I like that my uploads are kept to the original quality they were drawn in, but the mobile app can definitely be improved. I find it kind of a hassle I cant send or receive direct messages from the app- and have to do so in the browser instead- and have a similar issue with only being able to upload GIF animations on the computer. Other than that, it's really good for keeping an archive. The tagging system is helpful too.
Fabulous Art
Nicely Treat for the Eyes
Adxiv
Same banner ads; but now half screen ads that you have to close to get screen space back; mid scroll ads that make the scrolling lag when they load; and finally the full screen unskippable scam ads that plague every “freemium” game that exists. Instead of more ads consider banning AI slop to save on network and storage costs and make it a site of real artists only.
Put it in the spotlight
Make the app more recognizable and popular
Needs work
I refuse to give this app anymore stars!!! Now it locks up after I log in via my Apple account yet the website works fine, WTF!!!
UIどした？？？
A suggestion
Nice app, I really wonder why I must spend money to view my history, that’s silly.
it’s been real
lil to no engagement, posting feels pointless now. also too much cp n ai porn lately, so it rlly ain't worth usin ts was mad addicting anyway, so yall did me a favor pushing me away 🤷🏾♂️
It’s okay :)
It’s good but there’s lots of suggestive art I’m seeing and I don’t like that
Abnormal amount of Ads
The art is good and new art is easily found, but why is there an ad after 3 button presses? I've been getting 10 second ads after 3 button presses, whether going onto an artist's profile, liking art, or going back to a previous page.
It kinda works but I can’t see the app
That’s all just read the title
What I think
The Pixiv app is a wonderful way to experience creative art, and support artists that have a passion for the same characters we love, and new ones we haven’t seen before. I could spend all day looking around, and never lose interest. It’s worth the memory on your device.
Greedy & Unintuitive
Full screen ads blast you out of nowhere and settings are a mess.
I’d enjoy a few more improvements
It’s doing good, but there are improvements I’d make. I’d like it to be more similar to the mobile web browser version of the site in that I’d like to separate the R-18 from the All Ages in my Following Tab, as well as see the Favourite Tags as a separate tab as well. In general, just allowing for the same level of functionality in the search and what not as the mobile website.
Adds are too invasive
Please reduce the number of times interactive ads appear while using the app, or just get rid of them.
Listen to your audience Pixiv
I’ve been using Pixiv since 2019, cool place to find your favorite artists. Lots of resources for learning to draw and selling your merch. Real shame they got rid of the Live feature which I thought was awesome to communicate with your favorite artists in real time. The app does tend to start to fail if you’re going through a lot of pages of saved drawings and sometimes it will just crash the app. Searching can be weird at times because if you don’t find the # for the name you’re looking for, it might not yield any results.
Experience?
No negative thoughts, or opinions. Comes in handy and very useful when needed
Pop up Ads
You are testing my patience, and I will not respect that.
Great app
good alternative from twitter for art, i wish there were more viewing options for the home page though, like less images per page, but larger size
Normally a good art app
But they introduced these awful full screen ads with no skip.
Too many pop up adds
Whoever at pixiv decided to make popup ads a thing in pixiv, needs to be fired. It was the worst decision ever. They literally pop up every 19 seconds or so and no one on mobile can even view art without an ad popping up. They did not cook at all with whatever update they chose to add this in.., please remove the pop up ads. The normal ads that show up while scrolling were better. This just is not it…
Great community
This is a good way to connect with others that has your same interests and values for art. A very refreshing experience requires quality time with the users and their support. The comment section brings about good feelings by the encouragement of interactions. It is truly a safe space, a place to look forward to, a place to call home.
DO. NOT. GET.
Horrible. The login system is ancient, settings are complicated. It’s like the developers DON’T WANT YOU TO use their app. You can’t see popular posts unless you pay. You can’t do ANYTHING ON THE APP OR THE WEBSITE that is actually useful unless you give into their corporate greed. I’d genuinely rather be reborn again if it meant pixiv was never introduced to me. TIME WASTED.
update not available???
It was good but why it shows not available anymore?
Way to many ads
What’s with all of the ads, as of 2days ago almost every time click a photo and go back I get an ad, almost every two minutes I get an ad, ridiculous.
Low resolution
Okay on iPhone but very blurry on any iPad.

3uu
ads ruined the app.
went from simple banner ads that didn’t effect user experience much straight to full screen ads with no x to click to get away from it. i’m not wasting 30 seconds of my time for some ad, i’ll just stop using the app and use the website with an ad blocker for safari at this point. also $42 for premium? i was going to consider getting it if it was under $15 for a year but $42 a year for a art website is robbery. hopefully people stop using the app and switch to ad blockers on the webpage instead so they make less money than they did with the banner ads. edit: now the pop up ads happen after between 1-3 viewed works. this is disgusting. i genuinely hope the app is abandoned and you make less money off ads than you did when you just had banner ads.
Would give it a 5 stars if you were able to view more without premium
It’s a great app with amazing art and more but I don’t like it that you have to get a premium version to explore more of the out standing art that there is
less functional than the website
there does not seem to be a way of managing bookmark tags
Blurry
The image are blurry on my mini iPad, but fine of Ipphone
Amazing
Most amazing app
Unskippable ads
Pixiv was better before the full screen, unskippable ads. Nearly unusable.
Everything is good overall but….
Everything is good I like the app however the only downside I have is you can’t see messages on the app. Maybe any future update adding that function would be appreciated. Other than that the app is great
Pixiv needs an iPad update
Pixiv is a good website for Japanese art, but unfortunately the iOS experience on iPad is rather disappointing. Images aren’t displayed in full resolution, they’re almost thumbnail-level quality, which makes for a very blurry and pixelated experience. Reading older reviews tells me that this problem probably won’t be fixed any time sooner either.
The app is good but
The app is good I love it actually but there is this weird thing with it. Ever time I follow or like something a certain amount of times the app stops responding for some reason so what I usually do is just use the website but I do like the app more because convenient and the pictures or videos load properly and I can see if it loads or not it’s been like this since I got it I don’t know anything really about this stuff but maybe somethings wrong with my distance or maybe just something is wrong with the app entirely I don’t know but I would really appreciate if this issue gets fixed and I don’t have any more problems like this O yeah and sometimes I can’t actually use the app after it does this for a certain amount of time as well
