Safe, fresh smelling, clean environment. Professional atmosphere. Friendly staff and a bathroom with a lot of space. Definitely worth the money

This place is awful. They have no resistance bands you’re paying for the name and the staff is weird and creepy.
Beautiful facility
Equinox Studio City is a wonderful facility with excellent equipment and a friendly, helpful staff. Classes are included in membership and are first rate. Its location in the old Sportsmen’s Lodge complex along with an Erewhon grocery store makes for a challenging parking experience. Weekends can be especially tough to find a space. Additionally security in the lot has been less than great, with numerous break ins and vehicle thefts occurring. As for the gym experience, the staff maintains the facility expertly and the locker room is usually very clean and well stocked with top shelf products. Gym equipment is state of the art and well cared for by staff. Try to go off peak as it can get quite crowded and cel phone abuse on the workout floor is an issue.
Horrible UX
Not sure how this app has such high reviews. Horrible UX. If I weren’t getting the benefit through Amex plat I would not pay for it
All in one app but slow and glitchy
It can take a while to load and not fully open the workout class pages. Also wish it was easier to load a specific class for all locations in a certain city not just your favorites.
Best gym ever
Equinox Brickell has the best trainers, great equipment, and top clean facility in Miami.
Stop complicating the app
Too many buttons, ads, and screens.
Booking classes
Too many waiting list classes yet many open slots is frustrating if you want a system that allows members to truly access classes vs false membership utilization
Ads interrupt app usage
The app sometimes had ads / promos that pop up and prevent usage of the app. The app should focus on always having the basics, like checkin, working rather than prioritizing advertising and making more money off me. These ads and promos should not interrupt app usage / should not be pop ups.
Bring back class reviews
Please bring back the option to review classes after attending them, love showing appreciation for the instructors that are going above and beyond.

The group classes are amazing! Love everything about this club. The app is easy to navigate!
overpriced for quality
equinox is like a mediocre gym dressing up as a luxury gym. not worth the price and the workers are extremely rude. if you’re paying to workout and go to free classes, you might as well just go to a different gym and buy classes at a legitimate pilates/yoga place. the class coaches have no idea what they’re doing.
Frustrating feature
You need to move the “refer a friend” alert that comes up at the top or move it to somewhere better. When you book classes, I almost always fat finger click on it when I’m trying to get to the main screen, which is almost always when I’m trying to quickly check into the club. Put it somewhere else, the CTR is not the message it’s the user experience

The membership fee has increased too much and too fast after COVID w/o any notification in advance.

Update is worse. Now you can’t even use on the tv itself?
If you still have the old version, keep it as long as you can. This new one makes you sign in every time, it also no longer works on Smart TVs you have to cast it… what’s the point of technology advancing?
Spa appointment
Would be more user friendly if the app would show directly available slots for Spa appointments instead of requesting a slot which may not be available and try this multiple times.
Cannot sync workouts TO Apple Health
The app is excellent with closed-captioning! But there’s only permission settings available for the app to read FROM Apple Health and not WRITE to Apple Health, which is a necessity in my case to continue a membership. Please add syncing outwards, as this makes a huge difference in metrics and making things easier for the user.
Does not integrate with Apple
After recent update, it no longer showing workouts in Apple Health, and never integrated with Apple Watch.
Classes
We need on Monday spinning classes in the afternoon , we need more zumba classes in the afternoon , we need more streching classes in rhe afternoon equinox is a great gym but the worst one in the 61 street upper east side, Monique is great person frendly but she need to add more classes . Thank you

Personal training
This review is for the app as far as training sessions are concerned. Poor design and does not show training purchases and balances accurately- this seems deliberate on behalf of equinox to keep the customer confused and keep purchasing more...shady! If the training is good and worth the price -then the customer will pay, no need to scam us! Esp when we are loyal & long time members of the club.

Very convenient however…..,
The app is very convenient when it comes to booking or canceling classes, purchasing supplements or workout clothing, booking facials or massages,updating preferred payment, etc. However sometimes it may have glitches which can be quite frustrating at times but their Concierge are very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable.
Expensive gym, app should be better
This application works 25% of the time for me. It’s very frustrating. All I want to do is book classes and even that is not straight forward.

Great app, perfect design, but it signs me out automatically often, and should include an online way to put membership on hold for whatever time is allowed. It also would be helpful to show a contact email / section for a local equinox rep if I need to contact them online.
Lots of shortcomings
I have a lot of glitch issues and there isn’t a great way to report them. I can’t access my program when I’m working with a trainer if I’m in club mode, which is frustrating, especially since I’m spending a lot of money to work with a trainer. The calendar cannot automatically sync with my phone calendar and the UI for the in all calendar is unhelpful. It only lets you see one day at a time, but how often does anyone have more than one class or program session scheduled in one day? Sometimes the Toastique pre-order disappears and I can’t find it. It’s “pretty” but the functionality is poor, the glitches are frequent, and it’s clear that the designers are not in touch with their users.
App is super glitchy
App is a hassle for the last two weeks, slow to load, doesn’t load class maps for those requiring specific bike or treadmill to be selected and crashes. Error messages are normal lately. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling, turning phone off and on nothing works. Other apps work fine-it’s this app. Very frustrating to spend over 250 a month and the app doesn’t even work
Worth the money
I have been coming to equinox for seven years and the fitness instructors are excellent with hardly any turnover. It has become my community.
Clunky app
Navigation Loop After Booking: After I book a class, the app remains fixed on the class booking screen even as I am walking into the gym. It does not automatically transition to the check-in interface. Currently, I am forced to manually close and reopen the app to reach the check-in screen. A more seamless transition—or a persistent "Check-In" button that appears automatically upon arrival—would significantly improve this experience. 2. Obstructive Promotional Content: Frequently, when I am attempting to check in for my scheduled class, a promotional pop-up (e.g., massage services) appears and obscures the check-in button entirely. This creates unnecessary friction during a time-sensitive task. I recommend ensuring that promotional ads are configured so they do not overlap with critical functional buttons or, ideally, move these ads to a non-intrusive location within the app.
Perfect but crashes:(
The schedules and check in works perfectly but all other features when used tend to crash. Otherwise really useful!
Pop up ads and AI slop
The app increasingly has pop up ads that make it very unclear how to proceed without making an unwanted purchase. The app and the gyms are increasingly a low market experience.
Calendar
I preferred the calendar that showed you active days by month w pink and blue (circa 2019) rather than white circles
Elegant and Seamless
The app is super elegant and the ease of utilizing the app is really great! Very modern and chic design that reflects the overall ethos of the Equinox ecosystem.
Cannot cancel
I did not find this app worth the money and wanted to cancel. But I tried multiple times and even though the app provided the option, clicking on it did not result in anything. It remained at the same screen.
Really useful app
I have not used all the crossed functionalities with Apple's new Health app but for scheduling and class searches, this is super easy and practical
Insane data usage
What’s with these insane data consumption patterns from this app? What could this app possibly be constantly downloading in the background? Please fix this.
Billing doesn’t work properly in the UK
I get errors whenever I try to update my credit card details - it doesn’t seem to work properly for UK members and it’s been this way for at least six months
Awesome for planning around busy schedule
Cool that you can plan your week/month by adding classes to your calendar; conveniently access with one tap when you’re ready to book.

Wait listing for classes
It used to show where I was on the wait list for a class and now that has disappeared, so now I don’t know whether I am close to the top of the wait list or at the bottom. Please bring that feature back

All muscle, no brains
The app might look sexy, but it makes basic tasks very difficult. Checking in should be simple. For Equinox, the bar code screen is bloated with a random background video. Good luck finding a class. They should consider leaning out all the useless content and marketing notifications.
Calendar Sync does not work, In app calendar is very finicky
Some changes need to be made because the in app calendar is super sensitive and will just randomly change weeks and jump forward a month when I’m just trying to view another day of my current week. The app claims to sync to my iCal and it did for about 3 hours but just stopped updated my calendar with classes I booked. I have tried deleting and reinstalling the app, resetting my device and troubleshooted to the max. I am using a brand new iPad and iPhone running on the latest most current software as well so I just don’t understand why there are so many issues with an app affiliated with such a high end prestigious fitness club I pay a lot of money to be apart of.
