Title says it all. Best, and most challenging fishing game out there. The multiplayer is fun, and the tournament modes are as well. I wish we could manually turn off the "Guide" voice. Other than that great game!
I like this game. But
It says it has iPhone 5 support and retina display support. Well it's def no retina display. And does not use my full iPhone 5 screen. My friend on the galaxy has full screen and beautiful picture.

Unrealistic as can be
I was very excited to see that this app finally came out with a salt water edition. But, what a disappointment. The same issues and limitations as with the freshwater edition exist, namely: a) The line out and line depth are not synchronised, i.e. you can be a t a depth of 120 ft yet the line out shows 19 ft - same issue in both editions; b) when a fish pulls bejond 50 ft of line, the fish is lost - have you guys actually ever really done saltwater fishing? I have a 1000 ft of 80 pound line on my reel!!! Is that for real or what? c) as soon as the fish pulls too far out of the screen left or right - it is lost - also, not realistic. d) no break settings for the reel - I can control a fish in real life by adjusting the break, not only by reeling it in - again, not realistic. In all, this SE edition is just the same as the fresh water edition, meaning the same underlying engine, just bigger and deeper bodies of water and bigger fish. What a disappointment. If you are an enthusiast as I am, rather safe the money and go fishing for real.

まちに待った「海バージョン」即買ってみましたが、残念です!!魚と背景をいじっただけです。マグロはジャンプしないだろう！カジキはツノの先端にかかっているし、かなりメチャクチャです。
Fun but unrealistic as to size differences
Very fun game in most aspects. Can be frustrating though when you fight a fish that pulls drag and tension on the line is maxed during the battle, only to find it's a mere 1 pound fish...pretty unrealistic especially when the next minute you pull in a 1000 pounder with less resistance.

this game wasnt as good as it lookd,it doesnt tell u how it works and how to play it, while i was driving the boat around trying to find fish which was impossible to find any way.. sorta of a waste of money&waste of time to buy this fishing game..for ipod touch 2/10
Fun but realism needs work
I enjoy the game a lot, but Tarpon and Swordfish really shouldn't be caught in the same area. Better species realism would be neat.

After the update the baground like the skys and etc keeps changing and made it worse fix it then 5 stars Ps. Don't buy this app to people who r considering get ifishing the one in the lake had it for few weeks now no fish caught.ㅠㅠ no fish!!!

Don't bother with this app
I tried the i fishing lake version. Lots of fun. Buy this salt water version but it is a totally different experience. Instead of spending time fishing, u will find most of the time driving the boat to find the fish. Very frustrating. Don't bother to get this game, a waste of time.

Idea for a new app
Love all the ifishing apps. But did you ever consider making an ifishing Long Island edition. I have fished there many times. They have everything fluke, flounder, stripe bass, bluefish, sea bass,sand shark,porgies, black fish. And many places to fish the sound ocean and bay. Also the surf. But u could let the person chose where and how they want to fish. They could fish with lures, bait live or dead.(clams,squid,spearing,eel, etc) just something to consider. I think it would be cool

こんな釣り方でこの魚が釣れるか？この魚が跳ねるか？こいつは跳ねるだろ？と 思うことが少なくありませんが、釣り好きならかなり夢中になれるのではないでしょうか。 ただ「Luck」表示がオフの方がリアルで楽しめた湖版とは異なり、 深いところでも水面まで誘い出す釣りがアリのこのゲームではオンにした方が確実に楽しめます。 対象魚との関係やルアーの引く速度や使い方も、リアルな世界とはだいぶ違う感じですから。 ガイドのお兄さんの服装が帽子とサングラス、レイが追加されていても湖版のままだったり（暑くないですかw）、 時間を表現しているように背景が移り変わって行くため負荷が掛かるのか、ぎくしゃくするところもありますが のちのち改良されていくだろうと思われます。ということで今の段階では星３つ。 ※以下、iFishing共通初心者向け解説 魚群探知機を見ながら、魚のいるところへ船を泊めます。 ルアーによって狙える水深や取り扱い方が違いますのでそれを考えて選びます。引く速度は船縁のところで調整。 画面下の船縁を押さえながら大きく振りかぶり、振り下ろした後、指を離します（本体を投げないため。ゆっくりでOK）。 釣れる確率＝「Luck」表示は釣り場の魚の数やルアーの選び方、使い方、引く速度で変わります。 画面に「Strike」と出たら魚が食い付いたことなので、本体を立てて合わせ＝魚をハリ掛かりさせます。 あとは船縁の部分を押さえる指の位置を変えて巻き取ります。ときには巻かずに走らせないと糸が切れます。 ガイドは「魚だ！」「合わせなきゃダメだよ」「でかい！」「大きいね」「かわいいね」などと話しかけてきます。 「もうここは魚がいないから移動しましょう」ということもありますが、その後も１、２匹釣れることがあります。

I have all the ifishing' apps this one is by far the best. Definatly the only game i enjoy playing detail is great and allows you to stick your own photo as a background which is also good. 5 star. Any updates?
Bad version
Been a real fisherman for 30 yrs. the original version of this game was a relaxing simulation. This version is unrealistc and aggravating. Your line always breaks or the fish always 'gets away from you'. They revamped it to be a challenging but unrealistic game for a plethora of geeks that probably never have gone or will go deep sea fishing. If you love fishing pass on this. Save your money
