So far so good
As of right not I don’t have to pay to scan things in which I love doing it’s so easy
New App doesn’t recognize my email
I’ve had this app since 2008. Have been off of it since last year. Went to log on and it doesn’t recognize the only email address I’ve ever had so therefore i can’t reset my password as it tells me invalid email. Now all my info will be lost if I start a new account which would be useless for me now. Time to look for a better app because this one sucks losing all my logged information.
Free and good
The only thing I don’t like is that it doesn’t allow for measurements. For example, it will say a cup versus a fourth cup and you can’t change it.
How do I get the old version back???
Update: The "update"? DISASTROUS! Lots of flash and no functionality. No weight graph apparently. Tons if icons - who enjoys trying to figure out those? Clicking on them brings up screens that look like they belong on pinball machines. Plus, what is this obsession with how much water I have drunk? Every screen has something about water intake. The original version was phenomenally good. It allowed you to enter your food, your activity, and your weight very straightforwardly. Now you get to drag things across the screen and in some cases, like if you happen to tap on profile, you cannot get out of it. I used the previous app for over 10 years. It was undeniably among the top five apps I have ever used. No longer. What used to be a super good app is now just a time consuming pointless exercise in frustration. Really depressing.
Not as good as the original.
I’ve used the original app since about 2013. It was much more user-friendly. With these new updates I have lost all of my custom created recipes that made it so easy. I could put all of the ingredients into the recipe and then just hit the recipe title to log it each time I needed all of the nutrition information. It isn’t as easy to navigate. I really miss the more user-friendly version that I originally purchased.
Great App!
This app saved my life over 10 years ago. I lost 70 pounds, and this app made it much easier than it would’ve been otherwise. Now, when I get 10 pounds above my goal weight, I pull it back out and start using it again. I really like the new format and its improvements. If they’ll add back the calorie deficit feature (when you over-eat on a particular day and it shows minus calories), it will be the perfect app!
New version is awful to use
I have also had this app for a decade. The new version is pretty, but that is about all. The worst thing about it is that it won’t save my favorite foods. I can type them in and click save. They aren’t there anymore. I can type in a full recipe, click save. They aren’t there. It is so frustrating. The old app was amazing. I can’t even use this one. If I can’t save my favorites then there’s no point to using it. The label scanner is nice, but I’m not doing that with every item I eat. I need to be able to have favorites.
TapnTrack
It really beats paying a ridiculous ongoing subscription for an app. One time fee. Plus it tracks carbs for those on KETO, however it will not subtract fiber or alcohol sugars. Has a huge data base. Only downsides are that doesn’t have some modern foods like the new “zero” sodas and missing many artificial sweeteners. There are random foods that are way wrong like an herb (i can’t remember which) ..it was 300 calories for a tablespoon. But I knew it was off and omitted the item from daily consumption. It also needs to add walking for an exercise option. Otherwise it’s great.
Missing vital aspects
It's ok in that it records things easily although the food search is poor. My main problem is that you can't add a decimal point when entering data. I've asked them about this and apparently they are aware but it's 'not in the pipeline' to be remedied. Good idea but poor follow through.
Deleted, done want to sign up for use
This app was useful for many may years, thanks to the developer. The new app won't let me use it without creating an account so I had to delete.
Best
Way easy to track and better than any other app for this
Garbage
Waste of money. Even their feedback does not work. They should refund every single customer
Great app
I’ve been using this app for about 8 years, and I prefer it to many others I’ve tried. However, I really wish it had a setting for net carbs for keto dieters. As it is, I’m never quite sure of my carb count, though protein and fat are always accurate. A net carb function would make it the ideal app for everyone!
Was Great
Since the last update, search function no longer works. Needs a scanner and graph for weight not so accurate.
Long time user for over 15 years - Not a fan of the new version.
I’ve been using this app for over 15 years. I used it for the first few years I had it and then I’ve used it daily for almost two years. I do not like the functionality of the new version. I understand making the app appear more updated, however, the functionality of the app is extremely hard and confusing. I’ve always recommended this app to everyone who’s asked me about a good tracking app. However, I can no longer do that. This app is confusing and is not easy to navigate, as its older version was. A lot of the restaurants that were in the older version are hard to find in this new version and may not even exist. Also, the portion sizes are much more confusing. Whereas the old app would tell you in the description if a slice of pizza was from a medium size pizza or a large size pizza at your favorite restaurant chain. I wish the creators would go back to the layout of the old app when it comes to the menu screens and searching for types of food. I’ll hold on for a little while longer to give them time to change things, but if things don’t change soon, I’ll be looking for a new tracking app.
Great App
Im using the basic version of the app and even at the basic level, the app is easy to use and tracks everything that matters to me.
update broke app
your latest update completely broke the app. Great job. it is completely unusable now. Nothing opens up and I lost all the data that had been saved. The original version was perfect. I don’t know why you’ve changed it around. Your latest update made the whole app unusable not just parts. Great job
Fantastic App
I love this app... almost everything is already loaded (not so much for local only restaurants, but tons of chains). After researching all of the recommended health apps, I still like this one best. I hope the developers will work to link with the health kit for increased insights. It also looks like the health kit can track additional nutrients, vitamins, and minerals. I hope this information tracking can also be incorporated.
used to be good
this version's search function returns no results which makes it impossible to add new foods to your food journal. I wish it hadn't been updated.
GREAT APP BUT NEEDS TO BE UPDATED
Been using this app for several years. It’s now not working with the new iOS11 update. PLEASE UPDATE 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾😩
Just what I needed
Great tool. I don’t calorie count. Which sounds crazy after I type my next statement, but this helps you not to over eat if you only eat once a day. Doing OMAD carnivore.
Lost access
I paid for this app years ago and loved it. Used it for years. I woke up one day and the app was gone, replaced with whatever this is and I can't even log in anymore.
HUGE help!
Love it! Just can’t figure out how to make it show protein in my summary. Otherwise.. great👍🏻👍🏻
I cannot access the food database
The last update has done something to prevent me access to the food database. Please could you provide a fix.
Quite good but could b better
It's quite good but could b improved in several ways. The ability to select and group multiple items and save them for reuse would really speed up the logging process eg 'cereal breakfast' which might comprise cornflakes, milk, coffee, raisins etc all of which now have to be selected and entered individually.
Essential for weight loss!
This app has helped me lose 30 pounds in two separate periods of my life. The database is comprehensive, and it’s so easy to track calories and exercise. I have recommended it to multiple friends who want to lose weight. All it takes is diligence in logging your calories and exercise.
Update Ruined 15 Years of Data
Been using app for nearly 15 years. Was always simple, straightforward & did not require username/password. Recent update caused lack of access to 15 years worth of data. No warning. No heads up. Now it’s bloated & overly complicated. Better apps out there.
Update for iOS 11
I love this app because it is completely private. I would pay a higher one time fee to have update updated to iOS 11 and remain private, i.e. no internet logon required.
Review
IT support does not exist for this app. No customer support or service. A lot if bugs with this version- the search & type option doesn't turn off and the search yields no results. Used to be a good app. Not very impressed
It's okay
Would be even better if you could select all items from a category before it went back to the daily overview. At present it's only possible to input one item at a time so it gets very slow if you need to input several items. It would be better if each item in each category had tick boxes next to them which could be checked and when finished all those checked items go into the final total.
Excellent way to track calories
If you eat simple Whole Foods this app is an amazing way to track daily calories.
Not an upgrade
Ruined it. Used to be so straight forward and simple. It is useless now.
Expansive Database
Really nice that so many North American restaurants are listed...very good companion
Mrs
App was working well but now my 'food and exercise' log doesn't work after only one week of use. Can't work out how to fix this. More Australian foods are needed and kj conversion needed too.
Verry good but some glitch of malfunction
See above
Great app
Great app, lots to choose from. However the restaurant section needs updating and there seems to be some calorie differences between app and restaurant nutrition charts.
Bad
It worked perfect until this new update. Now nothing works.
Nice app
Easy to use, decent database, easy to add own favourites and recipes. Good to use!
Θέλει δουλειά
δεν εχει πολλά ελληνικά φαγητά δεν εχει bar code εχει άλλες εφαρμογές που αξίζουν καλύτερα
Polart
Good if I could get the results from search and supermarkets instead of no results found. Would like to see many more items from uk
Tap&track
Great app to track calories and carbs. If you’re dieting or just keeping track of your exercise and eating to maintain your weight. Tap&Track is a great app for this!
Horrible
I used this app for years. They destroyed it. I feel ripped off for paying $24.99. Scan Does not work. Pure garbage
Great App
Easy to use, keeps me on track with my diet to help me reach my target weight.
Tap and Track
Excellent idea. Easy to use. Intuitive design. Incredibly limited search list of foods.
Love it
Every time I gain a few pounds I get tracking. Works every time. Reminds me what I’m putting into my mouth.
This update
This APP updated from what I’ve been using for years. Now it won’t let me login. It says it sent an email for validation but an email was never sent. Checked both inbox and junk but no email to verify……. This really is a bummer since all my prior data is associated to this logon. You should have an option to allow you to send another email as now I just can’t access the APP!
Good app
Good app for calories but points system is a bit off
Units are all US
Although you can change the Units of meassure between US and SI, this only apply to your body meassurements. Food is still in Cal, pounds and Oz. As others have said, needs NZ brands, these are all US and differs from NZ sold products (even if it's the same brand) Otherwise nice layout and well thought out.
Yaha
Love the app but would appreciate more british foods on here. Perhaps options for countries would be great.
