Doesn’t work
I was excited to play this, but I get a 403 error upon startup. I don’t even get to a menu, just instant lockout.

Great the first few weeks of playing it. Level up fast, cool ships to buy. World to open up. But game is full of bot accounts. Every other player encountered is level 99. Lame. Too many little things that you have to do to advance the game. Don’t care about making recipes or advancing in part creation. Boring, monotonous after level 30 or so.
Fix it
Since the new update it says sock conection failed even though my conection is solid .now i cant login,fix it and ill give 5 stars
Was fun
But as of new update my ship can’t sail to the Americas anymore saying I need more seaworthiness. I’ll just delete and uninstall , but it was fun while it lasted.
Wholesome gameplay
This is a very splendid remake of the original Koei's Uncharted Waters, giving the nods to the main characters' storylines, some original bgms and taking trade and exploration game play up several notches. What I enjoyed: - sailing around the world, enjoying the 3D rendering of landscapes, as much care to the details of the geographical differences and climate as possible. - a lot more ports and trade goods added compared to the classic version - okay to slow grind for low or no cash players - beautiful ship designs - many historical (and sometimes fictional) figures that can be recruited to your fleet What can be improved: - exploration competition: always disconnects for iOS users, estimate at the 30-40th day mark. Android device can explore the same spot for more than 70 days without issues. - exploration competition: each time there are 5 locations but for non-cash or low-cash players to even successfully explore then second lowest tier competition zone is close to zero. - combat style of play is oddly the most boring. Too many unnecessary dialogues and scene cuts to skip to start the battle and the battle itself is better off on auto than manual, as the keys and instructions are not clear. - bugs on world map and auto-navigation from point to point that may not accurately indicate the limitations for momentum, ice-breaking and seaworthiness on a route. I was misled once to believe I could cross from Guam to Havana via the Bering Strait and Arctic Circle and it didn't end up too well. - remove unnecessary guild monopoly on trade goods and shipyard purchaseable materials. This is so petty, these items are no longer competitive anyway (nobody survives on large keel or conch pearls anymore) why not make them accessible to all players? - small group of players who would spam and simp regularly on world chat, but that is purely an etiquette issue, not breaking any game rules. Luckily, there is a block chat function.

Could be great…yet so much letdown
It’s fun game to pass the time with…when it works. Either bandwidth/server capacity is lacking, or “protection” software is conflicting. On iOS game restarts constantly after playing just a few minutes (no other apps loaded). On Windows, get connection error or security error. For such well-known developers, it’s very discouraging. And the in-game purchases are in: too much cost for too little benefit.
Fantastic way to pass time
Excellent adaptation, thoughtful stories and characters, and a fantastic way to pass time. They keep on expanding content regularly as well. Easy to pick up, with a long road to mastery. Nearly anything can be done F2P, purchases just make the grind a little easier or add flavor.
Won’t work
After an additional huge download the game refuses to work. Such a let down. It says failure to authenticate and reloops. Not worth the download
Mac OS doesn’t work
When trying to play the game on MacOS it won’t progress past the agreement acceptance screen. You can’t click anything there.
造船ガチャが酷い
船舶を造船する度に耐波が下がっていく。船舶能力ガチャが酷すぎる。 24等級の改造船で25等級を継承造船したら造船前よりも耐波が低くなり、その船を継承して改造船を造船するとさらに耐波が低くなるという。改造っていうか改悪ですね。 超弩級重課金ユーザーしか相手にしてない感じ。 他のシステムはよくできてると思うので残念すぎる。
よく落ちる
ゲームの仕組みは面白いだけに、勿体無い。 最新のアップデートをしたら、まともにプレイできないくらいに落ちるようになった。

タイトル通り iOS版のアプリはクラッシュがひどくて「よくこんなんでサービス提供しているな」といわざるを得ないかなと Android版も並行して遊んでいるが、こちらは特に問題がないようだし、アプリのクラッシュについては他の方もネット上に情報を書いているのを見たコトがあるので、おそらく自分のiOS環境の問題ではないと思う 内容は面白いとは思うのだが、、、まぁ毎日同じコトやってるだけではある 変わるコトと言えば新しいメンバーを雇ったりするコトくらいな気がするがもはや課金しなければ雇えないし雇ったら雇ったで成長させるのにまた課金、、、 アプリクラッシュに負けずに課金するゲーム
落ちる
兎に角よく落ちる。 落ちるタイミングは大体、 ・白兵戦 ・航路設定 ・陸地探索 頻繁に発生するので、戦闘や探索は自動の意味がない。 タイミングがわかってるのに、対応せず、新しいイベントばかり対応する始末。 なので、今のところ、課金してやるほどの価値は無いとの判断。 このシリーズは30年ぐらいプレイしているので、本当は課金してもっと愉しみたいのだが、ちょっと残念。 ただ、それ以外はそんなに悪くない。

I love it. My favorite game.
Since I started playing this game, I haven’t played any other games. I naturally stopped playing League of Legends. I love this game a lot. I am playing this game with Uncharted Waters 4 music. I wish the publisher would make playing other Uncharted Waters music a purchase option.
Server connection issues
After the most recent updates, connecting to the games was horrendous. Would need to try 10-11 times before its successful. This is ridiculous. Hope the developers can do something about this. Otherwise the game was fun. Provided it can be played.

Great game total remake of the SNES game new horizons.
This game had zero advertisement so it didn’t find out until after 2 years after release. I play day and night. Very addicting. You don’t need to pay to win, you can mind your own business and play at your pace. Pick the utopia server if you don’t to get ganked. It is a fun game.

Can no longer play after leve 40 completed a bar girl request, start game with error due to the task I complete has a bug. Can no longer play for two weeks at all. Contact support no one is helping,Can someone help ?
Great game even for casual players
You can play this casually for free and if you don’t mind the grind, most of the quests will eventually be able to be undertaken with no issue. Important to do daily quests and level up your mates so you can eventually handle more powerful ships. The only downside is that time spent on the seas can be REALLY long so get enough provisions and do other things in real life while sailing in game.
Great Game… but crashes a lot
This is a great game and love playing it, but it constantly crashes when trying to do two things at same time. Example…. When sailing and looking up other cities or exploration on the map, it crashes frequently. When doing land exploration it crashes after second day. Tried closing all other apps and updated game and system with no luck. Tried different wifi and still no luck. Is it a game network issue? Not sure, but hoping there will be a fix before I decide to stop playing.

気長にプレイなら
課金は時短要素が多く、他はメインになるのはキャラ入手だろうか。課金ジェムは、ゲーム内のバザー売買でも手に入るがスズメの涙程度で、手っ取り早く課金して入手した方がストレスは少ない。ガチャが無くなった事で、目当てのキャラを直接購入可能になったのは◯。 本筋のゲームは、最初のキャラをメインにストーリーを進めて、海域を解放し、投資や爵位を上げて、造船する船のランクを上げていく事になるが、肝となる部分だけに時間は掛かる。造船レベル20で戦列艦を作れるが、無課金や微課金で1からやると約半年程度の時間は必要か。造船に関わる素材はデイリークエストで、数日で1隻分の素材を手に入れていく他に、イベントで複数の強化素材や造船素材も手に入る為、地道にやる事が大切。なんせ時間泥棒のゲームだけに、色々やりつつ、自分なりの楽しみ方が必要そうだが

Server very very unstable and unfair
As fan of Uwo, i quite happy when game come out. Overall, all is quite nice and decent. Some chronicle is bit of lame. I even buy new admiral, but the battle system is too crappy to be decent. When I play Anne, the battle outside Melaka is the turning point. Though, the objective is to retreat after 2nd wave arrive. I decide to wait till I grew stronger and do the battle. When I restart the battle after 3 week with new boat, better stat. The game keep dc, at 2nd reinforce, i am about to win, the game dc again and worse I has to restart the whole battle (wasted 15min). Next, the trade event is also unfair, unbalance and unreasonable. Seem like there many botter or hackers. Many region esp, food, medicine and luxury. Event start and barely 5min , event end due to “overwhelming”, 5min is consider generously, the record I see is less than 2 min, no more. Legit player almost has no chance to earn big, and at late stage of shipbuilding which is cost extensive, it become harder for legit player to earn, build boat (with high rate of lousy stat esp when blueprints is below 15, the time consume to earn and get 20bp is exhausting and has to keep earning money to build)

I’ve been playing this game from launch, mostly F2P. The game is say is just ok. If you’re looking to play to see the story of uncharted waters 2, you can get that here. First chronicle free, the rest at a cost. But aside from that, there isn’t much to do that matters in this game. You can gain wealth and build your fleet. But unless you’re running bots, or spending tons of money on this game, you won’t ever rank in the top 10. Even when it comes to becoming prime minister of your nation, you can forget it. The same Bot and guilds filled with bots, they monopolize the economy in the game, and control all the nations. And you don’t stand a chance of even becoming mayor of a port. If you put the time and effort tot are one over, the same guild/player will simply come and spend twice what you’d I’d to get there overnight. Again it could have been entertaining, but as usual Bots ruin everything.

Give it a hard pass…
It is with a heavy heart, having grown up playing the Uncharted Waters franchise, that I cannot recommend this game. It might bear the “Uncharted Waters” name and a bit of its look/feel, but it is not a spiritual successor. The game is a Frankenstein’s monster - it might look like a game you remember, or the sailing/pirate game you’ve been yearning for, but it’s just a shell with a twisted, broken interior. Some of the things I experienced: - Players from the other servers, and/or beta testers coming over to the new America server and hitting level 50 in a week because they know how to exploit the system. -Same players and whales investing in and becoming the mayor of all the ports. Heck, one player spent tens of thousands of dollars last week to claim what looked like nearly all the ports outside the beginning areas. Not only does it deprive the other players of resources, it really makes playing feel pointless. -Trading is the only viable profession; exploration and combat are boring and unnecessarily tedious. Even if combat/exploration were fun, you only earn an insignificant fraction of what you would trading for the same amount of time. -Moving beyond the 3rd rank title will break your game because you’ll get attacked by NPCs incessantly and be unable to make money quickly. -Exploration is either locked behind the gatcha or like watching a coin flip on the moon. They actually made it slow and boring on purpose so you’ll buy the speed boosts. It’s like someone poisoning you, but being nice enough to sell you the antidote. -Combat is mind-numbingly tedious and starts with 20 seconds worth of unnecessary notifications before you can even start. Once it does start, you just ram your ships into the opponent until they die. Again, the reward for the tedium is negligible. -This game is all about the MACRO transactions. You can spend ~$40 for ten gatcha pulls with a ~1% chance to get an S-rank hero. Then you need 5-6 more of the same mate (hero) to actually unlock all their skills. All the other purchases are equally as terrible. -Communication is terrible. The chat system is barely usable; any real coordination/communication must be done on Discord or somewhere outside the game. -Guilds are pointless beyond the crafting they unlock. There’s no meaningful interaction within the guild, or any sense of belonging to something possibly bigger than yourself. -Trading is the only real profession. Even if you like trading, it boils down to 30 seconds of buying/selling at a port and 30-120 minutes of sailing around the world. -Sailing is boring. It’s like endlessly running around a 400m track in the middle of the desert. Every so often a random cup of water will appear on the track, or maybe a hot dog or friendship bracelet, but it’s not enough to justify or make active sailing interesting in the slightest. -You’re not part of a bigger world and you’re not meaningfully contributing to anything. You might think you’re a bee pollinating flowers and keeping the ecosystem alive, but you’re just a random person floating in a small, inflatable pool that the whales keep pooping and peeing in. -Like professions, there are seemingly lots of ships to sail, but because the meta is speed, you’ll follow the same ship progression as everyone else. It’s like having 45 ice cream flavors to choose from, but 40 are variations of asparagus. There are lots of other things wrong with this game, but I’ve wasted too much time on and in it. Please do yourself a favor and avoid like the plague to stop incentivizing developers to produce such predatory and uninspired trash.
Nice Job
So as a fan of sailing/pirating/rpg games this is a solid effort. The turn based combat isn’t to my taste. Even running 2x on auto simple fights are too long. Long sail times need to be addressed it will keep casual players from getting into the game.
Boring game
I was looking and still am looking for a game like Sid Meyer‘s Pirates. This isn’t it. The combat system is completely unrealistic and a waste of time. There is not much treasure for a game that talks about treasure. By treasure, I mean gold, silver, and gems. You win a battle for what? A few pieces of cargo? That‘s it. It is mostly a trading game, so be prepared to waste a lot of time sailing around to buy and sell things. You cannot customize your character. And the mates are historically mixed up from different time periods. William Shakespeare, Gutenberg and many others have nothing to do with the sea. Why are they mates? Like Mary Stuart, Queen of England would be traveling around on a ship as a mate. It’s stupid. It takes place in the 1560s, yet there are later period ships like a schooner. One good thing is you can play without spending a cent. But if you are looking for excitement, sea battles, pillaging, plundering, capturing cities, this is not the game for that. Also the graphics are very good, but I don‘t know what the point of having these little dolls running around as player characters. I gave it a shot for about two to three weeks and I have had enough.

Too intrusive
I was really interested in this app as I fondly remember the old ‘Uncharted Waters’ game. And I would have paid good money for it. Unfortunately, this game was a quick delete for me. Why? Can you play as a guest? No. Can you create an account? No. You’ve got to sign in using your Google, Facebook, etc. account. Those accounts are none of the app developer’s business. So this game is a hard pass for me.
Good game
Fun game for the genre. Lots to do. I’m enjoying it very much. Build fleet, explore, trade, fight. Good adventure game. Good game controls. Good graphics. The only thing is the in-app purchases are too costly. If you like historic seafaring games, download it.
