Absolutely love the app! Everything was easy to connect and set up. What I would like to see added is the ability to set an alarm if the temperature drops below a certain set point.

Device gets an IP address but handshake and setup never complete.
App good but could be better
So far loving the Konnected Joe - all the on board features work well, my only complaint is when opening the cover, the fan shuts off, and takes a while to come back on to recover the temperature after closure. The app however does not always update in “live” mode so needs a manual refresh from the main page. Does also run the phone battery pretty hard. But alerts come thru to my watch which is nice
Constantly locking me out
The app constantly logging me out and then won’t work with a password manager to let me log back in so I’m constantly having to cut and paste the password and username to get access into the app. It’s driving me mad. When it works, it’s great.
APP is basic but could easily be better
Overall I like my Kamado Joe Konnected Big Joe, but the app needs some work. 1) The app does not always “live update” so what I see on the screen may be old information. I can do a manual refresh from the main page if I catch it, but there is nothing on the app that lets me know it is showing old information. Oddly, the notifications still function properly even when the app is showing different and old information. 2) Let me set high and low temperature alarms when I am using the Kamado grill in manual mode. 3) Your manual says that when cooling down, I should not fully close the top vent until the grill is less than 400 degrees, this app should have an alarm to let me know that has happened.

Slow
Not good. You have to login every day. It’s very slow to update with the correct temperature. It will give you constant alerts that you don’t need.
Keeps crashing
Good idea and great to be able to monitor cook, but app keeps crashing and you have to restart it.
App support
Well it’s nearly impossible get access support at KJ without filling out your life story. I am unable to log in via the app as the screen is expanded and offset. The web site no problem. Also, I cannot even create a new account without it stating the password is not compliant. Sorry to reach out this way but I do need help. I’ll revise my review following.
Works fine but wont stay logged in.
The app works generally ok. Biggest annoyance is that it logs out frequently and doesn’t autofill when using a password manager like apple passwords. The cooking and control portions of the app are fine, not exceptional but get the job done. No major issue there. The authentication problem is such a pain I frequently dont bother using the app and dig out different probes. Please consider updating the app to support long lived authentication tokens or at the very least some form of quick touch/faceID reauthentication if this is coming from a higher corporate security policy.

App simply works, connects every time
App is Terrible
Love my Konnected Joe but the app is total trash. Never works! And when it does work, the next cook and won’t connect. Have deleted and restarted the app repeatedly. It never connects. We pay too much money for these products to have features that are advertised but don’t work!
Pretty good
App syncs and connects to grill easily. Session plots are nice. It would be nice if it had more features like the Thermoworks products. It would be nice to be able to rename sessions to remind me of my cook instead of just a date. It would also be nice to customize the probe names if I was cooking different meats. For probes, the temps for smoked items like brisket should include a 205F temp target since that’s what bbq is all about. Also need to be able to delete sessions too.
Trust but verify
I love the Konnected Joe. It is rock solid as a grill and the temp control seems to work great… The app on the other hand is pretty unreliable. If I use the app get then run errands and come back home the app stops working it either freezes up or just totally diskonnects. I have to turn the grill off then try to rekonnect. Even then it sometimes works only about half the time. It is only an app issue the grill still works when the app freezes.
Connectivity issues
My Joe and the app keep disconnecting from each other and from the internet despite having a strong connection. This means I can’t use the included temp probes. Will give five stars if I can get some support.
Worked great
First cook and the app worked great. Love the graph and time function. Raised temp in app to finish off and sear sausage and it worked like a charm. Only improvement I’d request is the ability to name your sessions and allow notes. That way I can keep accurate times and temps per cook.
Stopped working
Once I start the app and go to the control area, a window pops up that prevents me from taking any action in the app. I have the latest version on iphone 15. Super annoying

Dissapointing
I switched from Kamado Joe from Traeger for the direct flame sear and char crust capability. I am extremely disappointed to see how bad this app is compared to the Traeger app. Traeger has 10x the recipes, a search function to find a recipe, and videos. Kamado app can’t even change the temperature on my grill without three repeat attempts. Recommend they immediately invest in the app to keep up with their competition.
Please fix bugs
1. The application always logs out and does not persist the logged-in user, so I have to log in every time I use the app. 2. The app does not retrieve saved credentials from the device’s password manager, requiring me to enter the password manually each time.
The smoke
It takes just a small amount of time before you get the smoke just write It took 6 cooks before I learned to let my smoker do the cook at get out of its way.
Do not trust this company
I paid $250 for a temperature controller, iKammand, that Kamaro Joe just bricked, dropping all support for without notice or compensation. It’s useless now. The old app is gone and this app does not support my device. You have been warned. Update: look at their response. Man, when I bought Kamado Joe it was a company that provided a premium product with premium support. Look at them now. Masterbuilt mass market, MBA driven garbage with a canned response written by a bot that's completely irrelevant to the above review. I had a Gravity grill from Masterbuilt as well and that piece of junk fell apart after one move. I threw it out. Just be warned, don't listen to the people who fall for the marketing. Those suckers will throw money at anything and that's who they target. This is not Kamado Joe anymore, this is just a brand of Masterbuilt. Get the Big Green Egg, Kamado Joe is dead, they sold out.
Goes white
Mine will barely show a temp then the app goes white and I can’t do anything other than restart
App upgrades
I'm new to Kamala Joe and excited to use it for a backyard cookout this weekend. I connected my Komodo Joe, and everything is working perfectly. It would be great if the app could utilize some of the iPhone features, like live updates, so I can easily see the grill temperature on the main screen of my phone. An Apple Watch app would also be fantastic, allowing me to check the temperature even when I'm away from my phone.
Love the remote temp control
I set this up with my old green egg, by using 3 different products, fans, temp probes and wifi controller. Worked ok, but so complicated. This konnected Joe makes lift so easy! BUT PLEASE CAN WE GET A DISPLAY FOR APPLE WATCH? Just basics but would make like great!
Never works twice in a row, unreliable!
This app with Konnected Joe always fails silently, only way to get it back to working is completely restarting the grill and it works for a bit and fails again without any error or message. You would think they had the issues sorted by now.
Needs work for basic functions
The app is great for manually checking everything without going out to the grill and setting your temp. There are basic features however that are just not useful at all. 1. All the probe temp targets are the same, therefore useless. for example, no matter which type meat you choose, the rare, medium rare, medium rare, etc are the same temps for poultry, pork, beef, and fish. MY $10 probe thermometer knows those don't all cook at the same temp. 2. Editing timer and temperature is not easy. You can't add time to the timer until it reaches 0. This is a simple feature. For temp, when you set it and decide to change it, sometimes you can not do so, as hitting confim will not change the displayed set temp.
Just okay
Really don’t need the app to alert me every time the temp drops a few degrees and then hits the target temp again. Meanwhile the probes don’t update the temp of the meat unless I close the app and restart it. Every time. Ugh.
Great App
Easy to use on the Konnected Joe. Makes grilling super easy. I like how I can set my temperature on the app and the grill does all the work. Also the session graphing is super cool - you can see cooking history with times/temps. Good job KJ!
Class Action Lawsuit in the Future?
Given that the $250 device cannot even connect via Bluetooth with a simple app, this product has been intentionally rendered 100% useless by its own company without any notice or solution to compensate for the loss. This clearly shows that the company does not care for its consumers. I own the now-useless iKamand and will tell everyone of this company's underhanded business practice. I want my $250 back... as does everyone else.
The app locks up for updates
The app keeps telling me that there is an update but a white screen pops up over everything so I can’t update or control the grill. Please fix asap!

The app does what you need. Allows you to see what’s going on and adjust temps easily. Kamado warns you of a delay in temp, but if you’re grill is close to the house (me 40 feet) then you shouldn’t see much of a delay. Pay close attention to accessories on the grill screen so you don’t miss temperature ramping. I missed the notice when inserting a DoJoe and waited forever for my temp to come up as the grill assumed I had the lid open. Love the grill and App, great work Kamado Joe!!! Ignore the key sayers out there! This thing is sweet!!!

When you love in a country where the temperature is set in Celcius C you need to set it via the app every time you use the Kamado. Is also does not let you set the temperature per one degree. For such a product this is not ok.

Five stars for kj
We recently got the new konnected Joe and this app has been so easy! I love how it tells me the firmware and I can keep track of my cooks while being lazy inside ( keeping an eye on it of course). I also like that we can look at recipes on the app instead of having to look on Pinterest or Facebook. Great job Kj!
Consistently unlinks
I have great Wi-Fi throughout the entire house including outside. The app always disconnects from the Konnect, never connects with any ease - I always need to reconnect. I’ve had Green Eggs for the past decade, their app is much more stable and reliable. What’s wrong - the grill, the app or what? I would love to use it like my Green Egg, everything in my house works flawless excluding this app.
Great grill, App needs work
We purchased the konnected Joe and it works great, however the app needs an overhaul. The recent update doesn’t pull the correct temperature half the time, or it’s old information (like when your grill is coming up to temperature), leading to mistrust and the only way to get a correct temperature reading from the grill is to use the session view. The session view however likes to revert to the cook prior leading to incorrect readings. The recipes tab is only somewhat useful. You cannot search for recipes at all, just filter by meat. Additionally, there’s no ability to “send” it to the grill for temperature settings. This wouldn’t be as big of a deal if you didn’t have to research for the recipe after setting the temperature on the grill, or checking your session temperature. Also, yes I know my grill is below temp because I opened the lid. I feel like it should know that and suppress the notification. It’s a shame the app is so poor because it would really increase the versatility of the grill overall.
App is easy and simple to use - recipes are shoehorned in and make you frustrated
For the purpose of cooking and operating the grill (Konnected Joe in my case), this app is 5/5 stars. It’s super simple to use and fairly self explanatory. It was very easy to pair with the Konnected Joe, and firmware updates seem pretty straight forward. What drags this app down is that they have shoehorned in a recipe section which, I was kind of eager to look through for some of my favorite types of meals, but you can’t. There’s no search feature. You have to try to narrow it down using filters and hope you land on what you want and that it’s not classified under something else that you unintentionally filtered out. It’s just like - browse this and hope you get lucky. Then, when you finally somehow managed to discover a recipe you want to cook, it’s like the instructions were an AI trying to give you a summary of a YouTube video in a numbered list. Like the flank steak recipe featured now is all over the place telling you what grill temp to shoot for in the second to last of like 10 steps. I felt like I was having a mild stroke while trying to read it.

If you feel like wasting your money, ruining anything you try to cook and getting frustrated to no end, the iKammand is for you…
No connectivity
The app has never worked on my iPhone or my tablet. I have contacted Kamado Joe and they've responded but no solutions have come forth. They say they're working on an update. I tried following their instructions which varied from what I've been doing only by deleting the app from my iPhone and reinstalling it accepting all options or settings. The only suggested settings during the reinstallation pertained to notifications which I accepted. I still get a "Joining Network Error" message after entering my network password.

I’ve tried everything deleted the app reinstalled the grill and still cannot connect. I get notifications, saying high temperature low temperature, but no user interface posting this on here to try to get some answers.
