Resident Evil 2
Must have a controller! Plays perfect with a Backbone controller. Love it!
working only with airplane mode
i can’t play on mac without airplane mode. And i can’t buy full vers of game because this game can work only on airplane mode. Please fix it
Runs Great Overall, App Store Licensing Issue is Annoying
Game looks amazing and plays wonderfully on my M5 MacBook Air, performance and graphics are actually a bit better on my older M3 Pro Max and M1 Ultra models but I love having this game on my travel Mac. Gameplay is also incredible, if you’ve never played a Resident Evil game I highly recommend it. Biggest issue is the in game purchase for the full game. Seems like the ticket expires often. Almost every time I want to play I have to open the Online Store option in the main menu, Restore Purchases and restart the game. It’s very annoying. The m5 performance and graphics quality is decent, but there are of course some frame drops and performance hiccups (m5 air has no active cooling so I’m sure this is thermal throttling) The game itself is fantastic though and I really appreciate the folks at Capcom for supporting Mac and Metal3D. Really great work overall. I’ll probably buy all the others as well.
Palestine
The game is great and I have bought resident evil on multiple platforms like xbox, playstation and steam please fix all the titles in the series because they became broken after the update and hopfully we will be able to buy Resident Evil Requiem from the app store in the future but please fix the game this is a review from a long time capcom fan have a good day.
Steam please 🙏🏻
Works on ios 26.5
Great game, no black screen issue with ios update
The game
It won’t let me play
a request to the game developers
Hello, dear game developers, overall the game is great, but it lacks Russian voice acting for full immersion.
No funciona !!!
Black screen/Workaround
Stoped working.once loaded into game it just sits on a black screen/I found a work around thanks to redit if you put your phone on airplane mode you can launch it into menu but to save progress you will need to turn you cellular data or WiFi back on still shouldn’t have to this
Outstanding
One of the best game.. Need more game
No compatible
Nice Game But NOT FREE!!
This game is not free. can only play free for 30 min. Then u have to buy it.nice game though
Warning
If you don’t play the game consistently it automatically deletes the data from the game for some reason. This causes major problems when trying to reinstall. The game is good but the downloading is an awful process.
Loved the game
Love the game , and its well optimised for Mac
Waste of money
I ordered the game not knowing nor being informed that the game isn’t currently working to I spent my money basically on nothing
In app purchase
I love this game but the only issue is in app purchase. You have to purchase it to play the whole game.
Sale!!!!
Why no sale on the 2,4 and 8. Sale is Only available for RE3 .
When is the Spring discount coming in 2026?
Who can tell me the answer?
Stuck to buying in App Store
If you’re going to make the game exclusive to the App Store, at least have sales like every single other website does for Capcom. It’s ridiculous to expect people to pay $40 for a game that is on sale via every other device/site for 75% of the cost.
BUGS
Everytime I try to open the app it’s a black screen I deleted the app multiple times and it keeps reappearing and I even tried everything. I bought both the game and the costumes please fix this. The games are so good but the bugs? No.
Perfect
Resident Evil 2 runs incredibly smoothly on my MacBook Air M4. The graphics are top-notch, and the gameplay is seamless. I haven't encountered any issues with lag or frame drops. The game's atmosphere and sound design are also impressive, making for a thrilling experience. Overall, I'm thoroughly enjoying playing Resident Evil 2 on my MacBook Air M4
Crashes on launch
Does not work on IOS 26.4
Doubt
How to make it full screen ?
Good but costly
I played the demo it ran well on my MacBook pro 16 M1 Pro I got 1440p high settings 100+ fps I really wanted to buy this game but it is 2500₹ on the App Store for that kind of money on steam u can get resident evil 2,3,4 base game dlc and a lot more so I tought it was not worth it and am waiting for a huge discount from apple if it comes below 800₹ I will buy it even resident evil 4
Doesn’t work
I own resident evil 2,3,4, and 7 on iOS and currently not a single one works.
One hell of a game and Awesome Port
2 words, “Freaking Awesome”. Honestly, this is one of the best games on Mac in terms of gameplay, graphics and storyline. I finished the game in LeonA and Claire B scenario and it was fun. If I talk about port, I use a base MacBook Air M1 and it was still pretty smooth. Sometimes, there are some graphical glitches (TBH only happened once, that too fixed automatically) and rare control problems but they will not be encountered if (I guess) you use a better Mac. I have only talked about game as a Mac port you can read better reviews online of the game in general. Overall, it is totally worth the price.

Peak
A very good port , very well optimised thanks to apple silicon .No stutters , no lags , no frame drops .A very good experience
Requires iCloud Drive
I promise this is in good faith. Please don’t think I’m a complainer. This is not a review of the game. It’s excellent. The performance runs fine. The gameplay mostly runs smooth but sometimes there is a lag from the blutooth when connected to an xbox or PS5 controller. This can be resolved by plugging in a cable to the Mac. That said, when it’s plugged in the vibration turns off if that matters to you. The one star is because the game requires you to be connected to the iCloud Drive every time you boot up the game. This is a single player game. There is no reason why Capcom can’t let me use my save files on device and offline. Some might think that’s not a reason to not give 5 stars. Some might say that’s unreasonable since it’s a quality game. Why not 2 stars or 3? I understand that perspective but I disagree with it. That said, I will update my review to 5 stars if an update changes to where I can have the iCloud off. iCloud isn’t required for Resident Evil 2 on PS4, Xbox One, PS5, Xbox series X/S, steam, and I’m pretty sure they’re going to release the game on switch 2 without the requirement. Mac should be no different.
perfomance
Performance is very good on my Mac m2 and fps is also very resonable at tis budget laptop and game is very intresting but it’s paid to play full campaign.
-
BUG
Love this game，but could you fix this bug？I can’t start the game correctly cause this update from ios26.4
Glitch
I have completed many of the achievements but they aren’t showing in my game centre account. Please fix the issue as achievements bring a lot of motivation to play the game in different ways and challenge oneself.
Request a Refund
It’s broken, the developers don’t care at all. Even worse, they’re still letting people buy it when they know it doesn’t work!
Good Port
Works very well with iPhone 16 Pro Max and Mac M1 Pro. Only issue expecting better on screen controls. Expecting more Amazing ports to come
Not good game
Not good performance lagging and bugs are there can’t do full screen in MacBook pro m3 pro chip not satisfied
BUG!!
Feels a bit bugish, but it’s decent.
