What they complain about
- Paywalls block almost every font feature
- Constant subscription ads interrupt your experience
- Expensive weekly or monthly subscription costs
- Copy paste is required to use fonts
Love it!!
The fonts are all so cute and makes me actually like texting!
I don’t like it
I can’t do anything without the stupid subscription popping up in my face
..
…
Maybe?
i know everything cant be free, but ANYTHING you click turns into a subsricption ad. if it didnt have that feature, instead when you go to install the font or keyboard. the fonts are really good though.
Disappointed
I would really appreciate it if I could use this app directly in my text messages instead of having a copy and paste
Thank you!
This app is really great! I just started using it and so far it’s been working well!
What’s the point
This is one of the worst font apps I’ve ever downloaded and attempted to use all the advertisements or anywhere I’ve seen anything for this app. It’s claimed to have over 40 fonts. It clearly doesn’t even on the premium tier. It literally has 32 fonts and they’re all the same common standard free fonts and you have to type it and then copy the text doesn’t work for me. if there was an option to give this zero stars or minus stars that’s the actual rating I would give it somebody else that’s probably what they’re looking for.
Good
I like it
Very Basic
Well, I appreciate what they’re trying to do and I think it will be a good app once they get a few more things to make it a little easier for someone with disabilities then I will consider making it a better rating, but here is my reasoning. 1. They need to toggle between keyboards because they do not offer emojis and they do not offer voice to text which for me is almost a must because there’s times when my vision gets so bad I can’t see the keyboard enough to fully distinguish the letters, even with my glasses they’re still blurry so responding back to family is hard. 2. A swipe text feature would be nice to make things quicker as this is more or less like a computer science/ typing class with these keyboards they’re that basic. 3. The fonts they have are nice some of them do not work with several apps that I am on, but that’s OK. I don’t expect them to work but it would be nice if I could even upload my own fonts that I have to this app that would add another layer of personalization, even being able to add our own pictures to the keyboard to personalize even more would be a pretty cool feature. But those aren’t even that important just something that would be nice. **The main problem I have is getting stuck with that keyboard and trying to get out of that keyboard to get to a keyboard that I can actually use to voice text when my vision is bad. I don’t think they really thought about people who have disabilities when they were creating this. Sorry guys I know you’ve tried, but that’s just my experience with this keyboard.
Smart Fonts: A Balanced Review
The Gist "Smart Fonts" is a third-party keyboard application designed to replace your standard system keyboard. It allows you to type in various Unicode styles—ranging from gothic and cursive to bubbled letters and upside-down text—directly into apps like Instagram, Snapchat, WhatsApp, and iMessage without needing to copy and paste. ✅ The Good (Pros) * Massive Variety: The library is usually extensive. Whether you want a "typewriter" look for a minimal aesthetic or "bold gothic" for a header, there is a style for almost every mood. It also typically includes "Kaomoji" (Japanese emoticons like ( ◡‿◡ *)) which are fun to use. * Seamless Integration: Once installed and permissions are granted, switching to the Smart Fonts keyboard is fast. You can type directly into an Instagram caption or a text message, and the recipient sees exactly what you see. * Easy UI: The interface is generally user-friendly. Switching between different font styles is usually done via a scrolling bar at the top of the keyboard, making it easy to test different looks on the fly. ❌ The Bad (Cons) * Aggressive Monetization: This is the biggest downfall of this category of apps. Most "Smart Fonts" apps operate on a "Freemium" model that is heavy on ads. You may face pop-ups every time you open the main app, or find that the coolest fonts are locked behind a weekly or monthly subscription that can be surprisingly expensive (sometimes $5–$10/week). * Accessibility Issues: While the fonts look cool, they are often unreadable to screen readers (software used by visually impaired people). If you use a fancy font for your entire Instagram caption, you are effectively hiding that text from blind users. * Privacy Concerns: Like all third-party keyboards, the app requires "Full Access" to function properly. While standard for these apps, giving a third-party developer access to your keystrokes (even if they claim not to store sensitive data) is a security risk you should weigh carefully. 💡 The Verdict Is it worth the download? Yes, but with caution. If you stick to the free version, it is a handy tool to have on your phone for occasional use when you want to make a birthday post pop or organize your bio. However, be very careful not to accidentally sign up for a premium trial, as the costs add up quickly. Recommended for: * Aesthetic Instagram Bios. * Highlighting keywords in TikTok captions. * Fun, stylized text messages to friends. Not Recommended for: * Writing long paragraphs (hard to read). * Important announcements (accessibility issues). * Typing passwords or sensitive info (switch back to your default keyboard for this).
so good
free
Completely Pay
I cant do anything without the stupid paywall popping up. one star
Nifty lil font changer
I found the app easy to use, instructions were clear and easy to follow as well. I’d recommend the app to my middle age friends😉 or anyone wanting to add a lil flair to their messages and such.
Question
I am trying the free trial I cannot find 40 fonts ?
Have to leave a review?
So most of the fonts I’m trying to use are locked behind a paywall and stuff, but I looked at some other reviews and it looked like I could get them for free if I left a review? I don’t really get how you want people to leave a review before they can even get the fonts? I thought this app was free and was really excited to use it :(. I just wanna change my username font on discord man. If this works I guess it’s fine. I think it also has to be at least 100 words long? I feel like they should tell people that you have to write a review to actually use the fonts.
Amazing
Amazing
This app sucks
You need to pay 14$ a month just for some stupid fonts
Star
very good. not a 𝟝 𝕤𝕥𝕒𝕣 𝗄𝗂𝗇𝖽𝖺 𝖺𝗉𝗉 but a very good app.
Good
Good app but confusing and i wish they had a few more free thing bur over all its allright if you only want a few fonys and also my friend had this app but she got more fonts than me when she got the app at the same time as me ?????
Can’t seem to figure it out
Can’t seem to figure it out
Fonts!
Fonts fonts fonts fonts fonts. Fonts fonts fonts, fonts fonts fonts. Fonts fonts! <3
Not Functional for Long Prewritten Passages
Doesn’t allow taking very long prewritten passages written in notes or ChatGPT and then easily making part of the note one font; and then part bold; and key words then italics. This program works best for creating stylization as each word is typed.
Great app. Love fonts
Awesome unique fonts.
Good
Its pretty good Not bad
meow review
idk this is preuse so im testing kt
Easy to use!
This app was very user friendly, creates cool fonts to choose from to use on your Instagram profile.
Make it free
The fact that you had to make it a monthly subscription is insane you should never have to pay just to change your font. Art font is better and free.
Feedback
It’s pretty good just more fonts for free users would be nice!
Its…well
When i first downloaded the app i saw a video saying its free but i didn’t really like to copy and paste it so i tried adding it to my keyboard instead but you have to pay if you wanna is the keyboard. Not cool
Trying out a fun Smart Font App
I like this app and I’ve only been using it for a day. I wish the free trial was longer than 3 days, preferably changing it to 7-10 days to get a real feel of whether or not to really enjoy the app. I’m still trying to figure out how to use it. Another suggestion I have is to make the option of charging monthly. Lastly, I appreciate that the app does not track anything in my iPhone.
Excellent fonts
Two thumps up!!
Trash. No longer free fonts.
There was a few fonts that USED to be free; now all the fonts are locked behind a paywall. No matter, there are much better font apps out there that KEEP some of their fonts free. Absolute trash for removing the font that used to be FREE.
Amazing app
Amazing app
Can’t use it for some reason
Unable to use for some unknown reason
SHrEK
Well it ok
great app
amazing!
HORRIBLE
They make you pay toDO EVER SINGLE THING ITS SO ANNOYING
Great
Just installed- cannot wait to use it
Not sure how it is yet
Maybe it’s good? I have no idea yet.
Have to type in app/ copy paste
It’s ok. But I was looking for an app to give me fonts that wasn’t going to track my data, and this is it. So I’m happy to do it this way to stay safe. Thanks!
Love it!!
This is a super cool, creative, user friendly & FUN app. Love it so far and definitely recommend!

Don’t know
It’s hard to write a review about something I’ve never used. In order to use it I have to leave a review. I don’t feel that’s an honest way to get reviews.
Idk
Hard to review something I haven’t used yet..
Easy to use
Works good with instagram no issues with letters missing.
Don’t waste your time
You have to pay for practically everything 8$ per week so stupid
Fonts
I love fonts, I love collecting them!
Use
Hard to leave feedback when you haven’t even used it. I couldn’t use without providing feedback first. Couldn’t submit feedback without choosing a nickname first but kept getting told the name was taken….perhaps tell me what’s available that’s similar to what I’m trying to select.🤣
