Great
I don’t know any different to other apps or home chargers but I’ve had this for a few years and it’s always worked well. I find it easy to use and it’s rather simple
Basic and not well written
Update. They have done something server side, which has logged me out with no way of logging back in. It’s now just a loop that keeps taking you to the start of the registration form. My vehicle didn’t charge last night which is a very big problem. Will be replacing the charger asap. Very basic app needs major improvements. Terminology is way too technical and confusing for ‘normal’ users. They require a huge amount of personal info simply to charge your own car, using your own charger with electricity that you have to pay for…. Their automation system is largely pointless and doesn’t really work anyway. For example, I tried to have the app send me a notification if it starts charging during the day (the only useful thing I could think of), but the ‘message centre’ option is not configurable as though the developers forgot to finish it.
Works great on both our hybrid Audis
Works well with both our Audi hybrids, a good beep comes off the charger once you press enable and then the car and charger do the handshake and your off!
A lot of charging issues
This app makes charging your car a challenge, it works when it wants. 3 days I’ve been unable to charge my car.
Outdated look but functional
I have had the charger since 2022 and the app has worked perfectly fine. But it’s not very intuitive. It needs a new user interface. New chargers have been introduced by evec but the app is still old! It doesn’t need to be made complicated but needs a refresh!!! Come on. Please!
Updated app
This seems to have fixed my issues. I wasn’t able to use the schedule properly, but now it seems to work fine.

Evec home charger
The app is terrible, not user friendly at all, been using this now for 2 years and it’s really bad. Will be changing away from Evec in 12 months time if the app does not improve.
It’s okay but..
It’s okay for what it does, but I would like to see an app update (visual) it’s a very basic app and there are others out there with better apps. There’s no protection for the charger and technically anyone can use it, I would be nice to see something that once plugged in the app would have to authorise it etc. visual update would be great though
Great App
App works brilliantly as advertised. My schedules are always on when plugged in.
WiFi capability
The WiFi capabilities of this charger are sub standard to say the least. Terrible.

I’ve done exactly as asked, instructed, or told. Logged out, deleted, downloaded, and set-up. Nothing changes except that I continuously get messages to update.
Excellent device
Past weeks using EVEC 7.4kwh, absolutely brilliant staff, easy to use via app. No issue so far, highly recommended.
Nothing but hassle
This app and EV charger is living a living hell. It has to be the worst put together app I have ever had the misfortune of installing in my phone. Currently the errors I’m having are in Chinese. Extremely worrying security risks
Poor
Mostly works but UI not great. Re-onboarding after latest update was painful. My Password manager stored fresh password against the azure.com domain rather than Evec’s making me think they don’t have auth flows set up properly. Nothing appears any different or better in the app so what was the point of the update? But most annoying… the button to enable the charger doesn’t work any more!! Frustrating experience.

Charging speed unclear
Overall works.. I’ve used many charging apps before but the kWh per hour is not displayed… also it’s not possible to switch off the charger from the app to stop other people using my charger
poor app
low on features and seems to be more interested in getting you to add personal data than anything else. Fortunately the charger itself is OK - just use it manually.
Terrible unreliable App
We have been using the EV charger and App for over a year and it has been unreliable. Stopped using schedule mode in preference for manual. Keep getting case open notifications after using schedule mode which is really annoying. The app needs an update as this should be a simple, easy to use process that is headache free. Sort it out !
Zero Stars but I had to give one to publish
They supply a descent charger… but over the last few months they constantly sign you out of the App and send you round and round in circles until you sign up for THEIR scheme. Shocking tactics, poor and shoddy behaviour. My advice is get your charger from someone else

Terrible after update. Wouldn’t let you charge unless you accepted notifications.
Update is terrible
App was completely usable before, but ruined by updates in 2026. why do you keep requesting more and more personal information, and trying to sell stuff to me. I bought the charger, it works well - why over complicate it? Lots of dark patterns to try and get you to sign up to mailing list etc. You sent me around 10 emails forcing me to upgrade - I have never signed up for mailing lists so is a blatant breach of GDPR.
Update broke the app
Latest update forces input of personal details, then does not complete the setup process. I now can’t switch my charger on. Appalling.
