Such a good game!!!
I loved this game😭
I had just reached one bc and I thought, I should get this on my other phone, it loaded up some old progress and I deleted it, then my main phone reverted back 30 hours to the old progress! Fix this now or I won’t waste my time any longer. Edit: in the end I got back to 2 BC and did it using a brutality build so quite proud, would say 2 bc is so much harder than 1 bc. I think the fact you can reset for bosses by refreshing defeats the point of the game though. For context, u would give 5 stars but the bug mentioned previously makes it a four. Also why did you stop updating it! I know why but it feels unfair that you had to abandon this game in pursuit of another game. I hope you add one more final dlc that ties all the loose ends and makes the game feel more finished. Thank for this game. Ps. If you are a beginner, I recommend trying to get good at shields. It is harder the later you start so start now! They are not necessary but they are very valuable if used correctly, especially in higher BCs.

Rouguelike games are something. The genre is very peculiar when searching for a good one. They are hard to find. I took a chance. And fell in love. The hate/love is what keeps me going. This game challenges you to think. And also pay attention. So much to do. So much to learn. You try then die then try. And each time you learn something new. Well worth the time. Controls are easy to grasp. Gameplay smooth. Soundtracks cool as hell. Graphics crisp. Well put together game. Anyone peep the references in the armors?

If you like games such as terraria, hollow knight, and others, then I recommend this game and if you don’t like it on a small screen then get it on console or set up a controller to your device if it’s something like a phone or an iPad.

Keyboard issue
I love this game and it is great to play, especially with a controller. The problem I am facing is that whenever I try to use a keyboard, the game will not let it connect. I have looked it up and cannot find anyone with an answer. Once entering the game, the keyboard will just not work.

Изменить размер стика невозможно, по крайней мере я пытался, и я не нашел способа изменить размер стика. Обликов в игре нету, лишняя трата клеток. Я наверное потратил где-то 400 клеток, прежде чем понял, что облики нельзя надеть. Разрабам чуть чуть абсолютно все равно на мобильный порт.

This was originaly a two star review, then I played it more and got better, and realized that this game deserves one star. The controls straight up do not work as intended a solid 30% of the time. There is options to customize the controls yet somehow the movement stick is nearly completely unchangeable. By default, the stick is floating and snaps to the position your finger touches the screen if its not on the pad already. This wouldn't be a problem if the movement pad wasn't the size of a thumb and (as previously mentioned) completely unchangeable. Dead Cells is a good, 5 star game, but as it stand, this is not Dead Cells. The gameplay is almost entirely different and 5x more frustrating because of how bad this port is. Get a controller or something if you *really* want Dead Cells on your phone, but do not download this if you plan to play with your fingers.

Great game!
I’ve been playing for about 2 weeks and I can’t believe how much there is to explore. Hidden rooms, lore, and tons of different weapons. I don’t think I will get bored of this game for a very long time.
You know what I HATE about mobile games?
That things are so UNCLEAR! “You unlocked ______!” What is it? A resource? A level? Nothing useful? Where is it? A description that says “could be useful” really means useless. And costs you 150 premium currency that you earn 10 to 20 per run section, i.e. wasted time. (It’s the mirror) Most developers now seem to think “if we write whimsical descriptions for things, we can get away with not explaining how ANYTHING works, which means extra playtime trying to figure things out, and since we never include what anything does in any descriptions or dialogue, we can maximize hours wasted on trying to figure out the game. And they’ll never ‘know’ for sure so that means more hours of gameplay, which is great for our stats and metrics! ‘Hours and hours of gameplay!’ we’ll say!” Because the tedium of figuring out mechanics would be enjoyable if how the mechanics work is understood. And the few that enjoy such figuring out are rare. Unlocking things is SO vague, is it a feature and how do I turn it on? Oh it’s an area, but it doesn’t appear during a certain area run? Oh it’s a mode, not an in game function, and makes you restart and might malfunction? Why add it in? And unlocking gear means it’s added to the possible pool of what appears, it’s nothing permanent to start with, which is part of the gameplay but it’s ambiguity (like all the rest of the vagueness) is not appreciated or enjoyed. This is definitely why I won’t renew apple arcade after this trial ends. ALL mobile games “feature” little info on how game mechanics work, and since all these games are of that nature I hate wasting my time not knowing the ‘hows’ and ‘whys’ of what I am getting wrong. And I also HATE gacha systems. I don’t gamble in real life and that’s what gacha is; it’s wasted hope. ALSO the control scheme seems to think that I’m pointing down so it constantly SLAMS me into the ground, onto spikes or away from ledges. The bank is impossible to beat this way since it requires fast reflexes and perfect controlling by the player that the game constantly slamming me down just frustrates me. Especially when I need to escape enemies and it slams me into their attack and/or spikes two units away, killing me. Since it’s obsessed with the down direction, my character ducks when on the ground and refuses to move right a lot of the time, and left movement is doubly irresponsive.

Endet das erste Level jemals oder verstehe ich das Spielprinzip nicht ganz? Ich fange ständig fast bei null an. Puh, schwer und auch frustrierend. Es macht auch Spaß und will es trotzdem meister, bin aber summa summarum frustriert. Nichts desto trotz: castlevania-feeling kommt tatsächlich irgendwann auf und Grafik ist nice. Für Menschen mit Gaming-Talent oder Erahrung absolut empfehlenswert. Deshalb drei Sterne

Great but what about cloud saves?
The game itself is great… it’s Dead Cells with all the DLCs, so what’s not to love? My main gripe is lack of cloud saves, which seems a pretty glaring omission. I’d like to play on my Apple TV while at home and on my iPhone on the go, but without the ability of sync’ing progress across devices, it is a no-go.

I really enjoy the game, but I lost all of my progress for the third time now. That is sooo frustrating! I play on my Apple TV most of the time (4K latest gen). I open the game and it‘s just gone as if I never played before. Please fix this issue!

Dead cells is undoubtedly one of the greatest games of our time, made by one of the greatest dev teams of all time, rivaling that of gearbox, bungie, and even mojang. Dead cells’ combat system is one of the simplest, easiest to pick up, but so incredibly well developed. The lore is incredibly deep and emotional, though incredibly humorous as well, and the tie-in with castlevania in the Return to Castlevania DLC is incredibly well thought out and well made. All of the other DLCs are incredible as well. The game is all around fun, and diverse, and ultimately the Beheaded One is one of the greatest video game characters of all time. The game can be frustrating at times, but just keep trying, or maybe look at your build and find the weak point. There’s always a weak point in your build. Love it.

HOWEVER I play on Apple TV through arcade and the save is so terribly disappointing. It’s deleted about 7 times and I’ve given up playing at this point. I’ll try the iPhone version and see how it goes.
