Personal Node
I’m updating my review of Nunchuk because their support team responded extremely quickly and clearly explained the issue I was experiencing. I was unable to connect my personal Start9 node on iOS using an SSL onion address on port 50002 with Nunchuk version 2.7.3. Support explained that version 2.7.3 introduced a new SSL certificate requirement and that they are already reverting that change in version 2.7.4. What impressed me most was how fast Nunchuk support responded and that they were already working on a solution. That kind of communication and responsiveness is very important, especially with a Bitcoin wallet focused on self-custody. I can currently connect to my node using TCP over Tor on port 50001, and I look forward to testing SSL again once 2.7.4 is released. Based on my experience with their support and their quick response to the issue, I would recommend Nunchuk. It’s good to see a development team that listens to users and moves quickly to address problems.

A lot of potential but really falling short
UI is clean and I think there potential for this app. But I am pretty baffled that keys don’t persist across devices. Additionally I wanted to do some testing on testnet3, testnet4, and signet but my funds never appear for any of those networks while I am logged into its respective network setting.
Need improvement in qr scan
Used to love it but lately it has been failing to scan QR codes frequently. Hope the dev fixed that soon because it has so much potential.

Great hot wallet for paying bills and also for teaching friends about multisig.

Impossible to read qr code
Qr code reader simply doesn’t work and can’t read qr code on coldcard
Good start, but rough around the edges.
Off to a good start and the use of NFC is innovative. Application however makes the phone run extremely hot for some reason (iPhone 14 Pro). The heat seems to be emanating from the NFC area, so I am not sure if the NFC is constantly active or not. Setting network fees is a bit hidden. There is a tooltip in the transaction overview (before broadcasting) that says you can customize the fee in that screen below, but it cannot be customized. Instead you had to select “Customize transaction” in the previous screen. This is not very clear. Other than that it looks very promising.
Didn’t get very far
I installed this app added three keys, started making a wallet, then noticed the menu item that I could use to login, and they recommended for a better experience that I do in fact log in. I did that, and boom, all my keys were lost. Apparently the app doesn’t realize that a new user might create keys, then log in for the first time. and apparently, when you login, that identity supersedes any implied identity created when you make keys without logging in. So at this point, I’m just wondering: If right out of the gate I get sent back like that, is it worth putting more time in?
There is no second best
The title says it all. There’s honestly no better wallet for iOS. Hugo and the team are constantly making this wallet better and better as the months go by.
NFC & Coldcard MK4 not working
NFC & Coldcard MK4 not working. When attempting to export a key form CC MK4 to Nunchuk wallet on my IPhone 16 Pro, the Nunchuck app attempts to transfer, but the NFC fields switches states back and forth and never finishes the transfer.

Latest update never starts. It just crashes.
Good but buggy
Works okay sometimes. For the last two months the wallet wont sign the transactions after I enter my passphtase. I was able to restore on desktop and found the same issue. The problem was setting a manual fee rate. Turning this off allows the transaction to broadcast, but the app wont sign either way.
By far the best OnChain Wallet EVER.
I’m so delighted with this wallet. I should have started using it way earlier in my Bitcoin journey! It can do single signature, as well as multi signature with EASE! I feel very safe using this. Highly recommended. Don’t trust, verify!

Intermediate Bitcoiner here and using Nunchuck as the watch only wallet for my Coldcard Mk4. All working smoothly and giving my way more optionality than my previous set up w Ledger. Signing transactions w NFC now and sleeping like a baby. Thanks for maintaining this app!

Excellent app, but crashes once in a while. Devs, please fix these intermittent crashes and make it THE best.
Multisig made… least hard
If you’re going to do multisig, and don’t want to compromise security too much, this is the easiest way to do it, IMO. Plus, the devs have shown their willingness to stand up for your rights.
