Great yarn company
I love this company! They have great products and they stand behind them all. Their customer service support team is absolutely amazing! This is my go to shop for all of my crochet needs.
Latest version HUGE disappointment
Used old app every day especially "Community" forum. That meant I was seeing all the latest yarn info, deals, new items EVERY DAY. Latest version fried everything I found useful. Will delete it. STILL USE HOBBII YARN and the website but will only access I've in awhile so LESS PURCHASES. Sad.

Kaputt seit dem Update
Mäuse, ich mag eure App und habe schon viel bestellt. Seit dem Update funktioniert die Suchfunktion nicht mehr. Es werden tB bei Merinowolle keine Produkte angezeigt. Auch in meinem Profil nichts. Eigentlich ist nur die Startseite befüllt. Man kann also nicht shoppen. Was ist das für ein enttäuschender Launch?
Wann wird hier endlich mal aktualisiert?
Ich mochte diese App vor den ganzen Veränderungen sehr gerne. War auch gern in der Community unterwegs. Aber man sieht jetzt noch nicht mal mehr die Bilder von den Angeboten. Alles sieht so fehlerhaft und seltsam aus und es macht keinen Spaß, die App zu benutzen. Bitte mal aktualisieren.

Hobbii yarn has been my choice for purchasing mercerized cotton yarn and now crochet hooks. The quality is superb and the prices are great. Looking forward to my next purchase.

Free pattern catalog removed 8/2026
I only used the app for the patterns but was told that YarnInspirations.com offers a similar catalog for free that Hobbii has since taken away, to move toward a more SHEIN type- buy$buy$buy$- type of app. That’s a shame yall!!

So was there an update? Because now I can’t find where I play bingo and not sure if I like the update at all!! I’ve been playing bingo for YEARS, and now I can’t even figure out the app to play…

The App update is awful!
Before I was able to see how many grams each yarn has, it would let me see hook suggestions. Now, I can’t even see the full description because it’s in this little 3 x 3 inches square that can scroll up and down but not left to right. Fix the app please because I LOVE your yarn!
Pattern Page Issues
The app is alright, I like that you can purchase yarn directly from it. I’m using the patterns section and I love that there’s so many options. However, it seems to be just cycling through the same few patterns as I’m scrolling, despite saying there are over 1200 crochet patterns available. This is pretty disappointing.
Best yarn shop
Best place to buy yarn. I prefer it over local art supply stores. Always have a huge selection and amazing prices. Their customer support is also great!

I saw the bingo game on their website, was curious, and then read the membership rules to see if playing was free, or only after making a purchase. It’s ‘free’ to play, but by entering at all, you give them permission to use any form of your likeness they can find in their advertising FOREVER, without notifying you or getting your consent. I.e. they could just start pulling pics off your IG or your Ravelry and using them anywhere they want. That’s disgusting.

Neues App Design
Was ist da passiert? App hat nicht geladen also hab ich ein Update gemacht. Dann sah plötzlich die App komplett anders aus & ich hab mich nicht mehr zurecht gefunden.. wirkt irgendwie auch vorne & hinten noch komplett nicht fertig, hääää?
Es geht bergab
Zuerst war alles fein mit der App. Dann gab’s ein Update. Keine Bestellhistorie mehr Keine Favoritenliste mehr Man kann nicht mehr nachschauen, ob das Produkt im Laden erhältlich ist, was mich am meisten ärgert… Hoffentlich kommt das alles nach und nach zurück. Besonders die Bestellhistorie und ob Produkt xy im Laden vorrätig ist

Bingo nicht zu finden
Schade, dass im Update das Bingo so untergebracht ist, dass es nicht mehr zu finden ist. Und eine Info vorab gibt es auch nicht mehr

Ich finde es schade, das bei den Anleitungen keine Größenangaben zB XL = Menge der Knäule stehen. Ansonsten ist Hobbie Klase

Gute App!
Solide App, um sich Garne herauszusuchen und Anleitungen, alles passend aufeinander abgestimmt. Leider nur vier Sterne, weil die wunderbare Funktion etwas zu favorisieren abgeschafft wurde. Sehr schade!! Ansonsten tolle App!
Zu umständlich
Die App kann sich nicht merken wo man war, sobald man aus der Seite raus geht und noch vieles mehr. Es ist noch viel Luft nach oben.
Ordering difficulties
I have been having trouble ordering from the email you sent me about the sale. I entered my order but it would not go to my points so I could buy something with them . I only use my points when I am ordering so I don’t get two charges for delivery .
Unsure
I wish I lived close to where I could use the store. I get confused because I don’t know anything about Hobbi. I figure I just will. You order a few things here and there that I need to use and maybe I’ll figure out what the best stuff is. But so far I enjoyed it. I’m just worried that I could be doing better.
Was good until AI
I have bought yarn here for years, but after learning about how you guys use AI despite the environmental ramifications and its damage in the art industry, I will no longer be using it and will be putting my money to better mom and pop yarn shops.
Sehr schöne Wolle
Ihr habt immer so schöne Wolle, der Preis naja, kaufe sie meistens im Angebot. Schade finde ich es die Lieferungen dauern manchmal länger als geplant und wenn sie mal schneller kommt als sonst freut man sich um so mehr. Meine Bestellungen kommen öfters aufgerissen hier an, keine Ahnung ob es aus Versehen passiert oder ob einer gucken möchte was drin ist. Ich persönlich mag diese Plastik Tüten sowieso nicht. Warum versendet ihr es nicht einfach in einem kleinen Paket. Das Paket kann man auch weiter verwenden man muss es nicht wegwerfen. So bleibt der Inhalt drin und wird nicht verschmutzt

Why is it that the website shows the yarn length but the app does not?
iPad app
I don’t use the app because I prefer to use my iPad when shopping. My old eyes can’t see the text on items I’m interested in while using my phone. Zooming in on specific items while using my phone causes me to have to pan around the screen just to be able to read the text while it’s magnified. Yes I have the app on my iPad but I have to hold my iPad in portrait mode and I prefer landscape mode. Please make a dedicated iPad app.

I deleted this app after finding they don’t pay a fair wage to pattern makers and they are starting to use AI, while I was using the app I found it to be very glitchy, as far as scrolling and using filters during the search
Love the app
I love the app it’s easy to find whatever pattern I need for a project but I think if it had a filter for yarn weight in the pattern section it make finding patterns a whole lot easier!
Website is better
The app is good for a quick phone ready view of things and a reminder to play bingo but it doesn’t have a few key features that the website has so I’m constantly going out of the app to the website to make up the difference. On the website there is a button to look at the patterns associated with each yarn. So if you look at a yarn on sale you can see patterns of what they have used it for and if you click the pattern you can see how much you need of the yarn without purchasing or downloading the pattern. On the app you cannot see the patterns associated with the yarn nor can you see how much yarn is needed for a pattern. There seems to be less patterns on the app than the website. I also just learned that the app doesn’t let you see when a yarn is being discontinued which is really important information when buying yarn. I hope they fix these issues.

I like the idea of the bingo and the fact that you can win something, the only thing is that I wish it was wayy more interactive. Just for me it's not fun to just sit there and watch instead of being able to interact with it and do it myself when I see a number I have. And it kicks me off the app a lot during bingo

I love Hobbii… their service, their products, their games and generous gifts! The app is simple and handy to use for shopping or earning shopping points at bingo.
Used to be my favorite
I used Hobbii for the last 8 years and used to have nothing but good things to say about the company and the quality of products. The new change in ownership has brought a noticeable decline in quality and I’m beyond disappointed with the push for AI use. I hate to leave a company I’ve adored for years, but I can no longer trust the quality or current direction of the current owners.
Colour swatches please!
Love Hobbii. Have lost at bingo 1000x times! Please please add knitted examples for the yarns with lots of colour changes (wheel of alpaca for example)
Amazing company, terrible app
So I love Hobbii and am a dedicated customer and subscriber. Their yarns are beautiful and high quality and I highly recommend them. But this app is garbage. It gets two stars for a nice look/navigation and for bingo but even that has some widespread issues, like with cards not loading for people so much that they have to explain how to circumvent it multiple times every single game, and the recent location change fiasco. Frequently clicking on things I’ve favourited will just not work so I’ll have to go back to the search and find the item manually (in which case why favourite it to begin with?) Easily the thing I hate the most is scrolling through the gallery feature, clicking on an image I want to view will take me to a different one three or four either side and I’ll have to scroll to find it or click back out. Clicking on comments often sends me flying somewhere else again and not on the post I wanted to comment on. This makes an otherwise genius feature unusable. I can’t seem to write a review from the app, only the website which seems like it should be a *basic* feature for a shop-based app. Would also be nice if the Plus benefits we pay extra for were available on the app. Some of these issues come and go, some are consistent. But I find myself frustrated every single time I use this app as really essential to basic features are often buggy. Hobbii is a great website and I remain a loyal customer and Plus member. But this app needs a lot of work.
Not for iPad
The app does not permit a landscape view. So, I’m sure it’s great on a phone, is basically useless on an iPad. Will be deleting.

The website is better
I love the Hobbii app! It’s easy to find what you need BUT the website is better! I just adore the pattern finder feature on the website. Were you are on a type of yarn and you can see different patterns that uses the particular type of yarn. I love the website feature were you look at a pattern and you can chose the colours of the yarn you want and put it in your cart without changing web page! Hope that one day changed’s can be brought to the app!!
Full experience doesn’t work on IOS
Video or audio do not work on my apple device, works on app downloaded from google play store on my sons chromebook but would be much better to use my apple phone. Can play on iPhone but you do not see the videos or hear the chat from the video which makes the experience much better.
