Stickies - Sticky Notes Widget reviews

What people like
- Super easy to add and use
- One-time tip unlocks full customization
- Works just like Mac sticky notes
What they complain about
- Hard to figure out how to type notes
- App crashes or freezes frequently
- Many features locked behind a paywall
- Developer ignores old feature requests
It does what I need it to do
Adding and editing the notes was a little counterintuitive even with the instructions, but once I played around with it a little it works well and does what I need. I can create multiple independent notes, different apps I have won’t display more than one with different text, it allows font size change which is very helpful. Different colors and font types are only available after paying a tip but that’s fair.
Misleading
The app is essentially useless unless you pay for the pro version. Every single font available requires an upgrade to pro before it can be used.
Functional
The app delivers as advertised & is easy to use - I have read some of the reviews with some noting opportunities for improvement & the developer committing to implementing said improvements however it does not appear the developer implemented the changes (some are a year or more old) - I feel the app would be a lot better of the developer took continuous improvement seriously, which clearly they do not. Example: it would be nice to be able to edit notes directly from the home screen without having to long click the app, then edit within the pop-up. UPDATE: DEVELOPER TOOK THE TIME TO RIGHT AN ACTUAL RESPONSE TO MY REVIEW WHICH IS APPRECIATED - INCREASED MY RATING ADDITIONAL STAR.
Can’t get it to work.
I paid the tip too. I tap help and tap on the screen for choices and nothing happens. It’s on my Home Screen. It says hold to change size etc. That part works. Then i tap it again to write a note and it take me to the steps page and I can get nowhere else. I gave it 2 stars to be nice and will change my rating if I can simply write a note.
Misleading
This is a nice and easy to use app/widget -if you figure out how to- what I haven’t figure out is how to pin it to my lock screen as it claims to be able to. you can add it to the widget area, which will eventually show in a lock screen, but there’s no way to make it show directly on the lock screen as many other apps do. Make it show directly on the lock screen as claimed and I will give it 5⭐️
Write
It was good but after I forgot had t do it. But it was fun to use .
ZERO STAR
Had to rate at one so I could post this absolutely the worst app I’ve seen in a long time
Brilliant!
Works perfectly! Just add the widget to your home or lock screen, then long-press it to quickly add or edit notes directly. So convenient!
Rabbit Hole
Buy this or this instead of letting you just use
I love stickies

Gghghugfggggh
What the hell ?
I have the widget but It won’t let me type, why?
Not quick
I’d rather tap on the note to quickly edit. Not click on it and then have to hit “edit” before getting to my note. It should be one-click to get to the note.

Exactly what I was looking for!
Super simple sticky notes widget app with a very reasonable one-time tip to get access to full customization options.
Misleading
Tried to use the app after downloading and it immediately tells me to upgrade to pro.
How
How the hell do you type
Notes gone after rearranging stack
Using stickies PRO - notes disappeared when rearranging the stickies’ sequence in a stack, resulting in existing customisation and content being lost and reset to default
help
it is ftozen and no matter how many times i delete and restore or turn off and back on same thing
How to add text?
We are trying to figure out how to add text to the sticky note.
Can’t figure out how to use!
Been tapping and following instructions but I keep coming back to the same launch page. How do you write a note???
Unable to add emojis on iphone 13 mini
Keyboard doesn't let me add emojis to the widget. Whenever I try, they don't show up. Hoping this could be fixed. Support sent ☺️
Love it!
I really like this app because it’s so easy to use! You literally just hold down your iPad/iPhone screen to edit the apps, add the widget, and choose your sticky size! With other apps I’ve tried, you have to go into an app, make stickies/boards, and then choose to add the stickies to your iPhone/iPad. It’s just too many steps. I like the simplicity of this app. I think the people leaving bad reviews are either expecting a free product, or did not read the instructions on how to use the free version. Why would they expect full access and not pay? And the thing is, the developer is leaving the price UP TO YOU. You can choose to donate a ONE TIME PAYMENT of $3-$9 (it doesn’t matter which). OR you can stick with a yellow sticky note/black text and use the free version forever. Sounds quite simple. People are so entitled these days.
on Macbook Pro
doesn’t work on my laptop
Not that great.
There is no way you can change the font color.
Not Working?
Hello, This doesn’t appear to be working as a regular app in any manner….I’m a bit green on app programming but just wanted to make you aware. It’s probably nothing and simply end user ignorance. Please understand, it was alarming enough to me to report/ pass on to you. Respectfully, Sonia
Stickies - Pro Won’t work
I can get only one sticky. Can I get a refund
It’s just like stickies on my Mac
I’m using the trial version and it’s just like stickies on my Mac 2 questions: 1 ‣ I’m wondering - which tip gets the full version? 2 ‣ will stickies app sync to my other device on this same Apple ID? I see there are many colors and fonts. I’d love to have them all. Hopefully my questions will be answered - there are so many things you can do with this app!
Doesn’t work
It never slows you to open, keep giving instructions but never let you open one note
Love it
That might be my first review in AppStore ever. The stickers idea for the iPhone is super smart. Wish I could find it earlier
Nothing works - except the tip
Installed, restarted, nothing. Only the tip screen works and they want that before you ever use it. I need something like this app if it worked - support doesn’t work either - all screens are dead.
I love the idea that I can increase the note size
Honestly, i wasn't asking for much but to be able to have a large sticky note on my home screen. This app does that. With a small purchase fee, you can unlock many more customs to make the note pretty ☺️. I love it!
Do not purchase this app!
This app is a scam. Do not use the tip because it doesn’t work. No matter how many times you try the app will not work and is a waste of time. Yes I paid that idiotic pro tip and still does not work.
