Really enjoy choosing from a variety of podcasts
Content is click bait
Boring and non-educational content. They use click bait and don’t cover stories of depth or current events. All very stupid click bait material. Also, they have about 0.5% diversity numbers. Tailored perfectly to white women with no idea or opinion about current events.
Love the content, but having some technical app issues
I subscribe and LOVE accessing the additional podcasts (great work team!) I also find the app pretty easy to navigate and a good way to read stories. That said, whenever my phone locks / I close the app, it keeps on stopping the podcasts! Makes it really frustrating to listen to shows because as soon as I haven’t touched my iPhone for a stage and my phone auto locks, the episode cuts out! Is there a way to fix this?
Tech Issues
I have had ongoing tech issues with the app. The content often does not load so you cannot listen. I have contacted the Mamamia team about this but the issue keeps reoccurring. The app will also often not save where you listened to in a podcast making it hard to find where you finished.
Paid app still with ads?
Paying 9.99 a month only to be constantly interrupted by pop up ads and just ads generally embedded within articles does not make sense to me and ruins the experience.
New app is on point!

Spinning wheel of doom
The settings won’t load. The spinning wheel of doom stays on the screen until I force close the app. I can’t access any settings. Very frustrating
Can’t access podcasts!
As a subscriber it’s really frustrating when the app continually glitches and I can’t access the podcasts. Please improve!
Needs TLC
My main use for this app is pods on the phone, sadly the former app was far more user friendly and less buggy. The new interface makes it confusing to see where my shows and episodes are. Would love to revert back to the grid where show icons were smaller but easier to find at a glance. Episodes will often replay from the start if you exit the app and go back in which is kind of frustrating too. I prefer to use my desktop if reading articles or looking at the other Mamamia content so I can’t really speak to those feature features on the app. I really enjoy Mamamia but sadly the app is a bit of a letdown.
A Positive News Service
I love the variety of stories and news that is factual and not just clickbait. Stories are to the point, often funny, short & sharp.
Unusable App
The quality of the app has been getting worse and worse over the years. I use to frequently have to restart my phone a couple of times a week to get the podcast section to appear again, annoying but manageable. Now it is constantly crashing mid listen every time and despite restarting the podcast section is still blank. I haven’t listened to a subscriber podcast on it in weeks as it’s all too hard to get it to work.
Good content but app glitches
The website is great. So too the podcasts. But the app has a lot of problems and often doesn’t work. Please fix!
New update
Hi there, the new update has quite a few bugs and not very user friendly. 1. The app keeps on asking for login info. This is not a bank account it should not be looking for login information every time 2. App often times goes into a previous version from a few weeks ago and needs a hard close and open to get back to new version 3. The images and layout are often askew on the app. Makes me think it was developed with a web version first in mind and app to be a retrofitted version of that second. 4. I am a big podcast fan and right now I can’t find the latest ones easily. Previous version had a list that automatically showed you the latest up top.

Im a M Plus subscriber, and now that the additional podcasts are available on Apple I’m a happy gal! Great to have all my podcasts in one place The app has its glitches, but now that I’m not wholly replying on it for my podcasts, it’s a far more enjoyable user experience
Great content.. yet..
Ap is really annoying, hard and clunky to use, someone needs to simplify it. One of many things ~ If you stop listening to a podcast it doesn’t save so u have to go back try and find it and start again. It’s actually really annoying.
Terrible user experience on the app
I love MamaMia content, and all the voices that makeup the brand. It’s why I pay for a subscription to access bonus content. However, the app is very buggy, especially when loading and playing podcast content. I would love if subscribers could access their bonus content through the Apple Podcast app, or Spotify, it’s a much better experience.
Mamamia is great, the app is not
Love MM and have done for years but this app is so buggy - not allowing me to comment, having to close and re-open to get podcasts to work, never refreshing without a forced refresh, and now I can’t click on any Mamamia stories from social media. Wish they’d scrap this app and build a better one.
Love the app and the content but..
I have to delete and reinstall every couple of weeks as all of the sudden I can’t listen to podcasts without it being open on my phone.. so as soon as my screen locks it’s stops! Thanks
Feedback is Important!
Absolutely love MM and an MPlus subscriber. But the app is so glitchy it’s almost unusable. Opening the podcast section - not only is it not refreshed, it’s showing the most recent episode as one from six months ago. There’s no pull down refresh, you have to leave the section and navigate back. Sometimes when you return to the app while playing a podcast, it continues playing but the app displays an error message and all the play buttons disappear. My download queue is telling me I have 10 in queue, but only 6 are showing and the rest are displaying as empty cells. Please either fix the podcast section of the app, or enable subscribers to access through Apple Podcasts.
Fabulous content, app needs work
Love Mamamia podcasts and will persevere with the app for this reason. However, the app is fiddly and I think it would benefit from a clearer, more user friendly user interface. Oh, and the ability to speed up the episodes would help. It’s difficult to navigate and I’d prefer to listen on Spotify just because it’s so much easier to use! But then I wouldn’t get my MPlus content. I am sure there will be improvements in the future.
The content is great, a lot of issues with the podcasts stopping
I love almost everything about this app. However it is very buggy when listening to podcasts, sometimes they just won’t launch, sometimes they randomly stop playing, sometimes I will hit play and it won’t play.

I love all the different podcasts. I wanted to be an M plus member got the extra content but I’m one of those people that listen to my podcasts at 1.5 speed and this app didn’t have it available at first - but they do now and I’m a very happy customer! Thankyou!
Glitchy app
The app is terrible, keeps turning off when it closes, can’t listen to podcasts without constantly touching the screen. Difficult to navigate and not user friendly or intuitive.
Great content but terrible app
I love the Mamamia podcasts and enjoy reading the articles. But the app is terrible. Every time I open the app at the moment I get the screen covered by some kind of optus blackout add and have to close the app and reopen. The podcast section doesn’t have enough features compared to the basic Apple podcast app either. Sometimes crashes too and then I have to refund my place in the podcast.
App needs updates
Love Mamamia but since becoming a subscriber I now I have to use the app for the subscription only podcasts but it’s not great to use. There’s no easy way to refresh the podcast content when you return to the app looking for your favourite pod to drop! And often it will say I haven’t finished listening to a pod but I have, so the app doesn’t keep up with what you have listened too. Hope you can fix these few things to make the experience even better.
Great app and consistently wonderful content
Love all things Mamamia. Especially love the Mamamia Outloud podcast. I’ve listened for years and it’s seen me through dating, breakups, pregnancy, the newborn bubble and of course COVID lockdowns! The only thing I would change to this app is rolling play on podcasts, or a way to create a playlist of continuous podcasting. I often listen during housework etc, and don’t have my phone with me when an episode ends. Otherwise, great job team!
Can’t cancel
There is no clear way to cancel a subscription on this app. The subscriber features are also very clunky.
Needs improvement
I had high hopes for this app but unfortunately it is very glitchy. It isn’t very user friendly in terms of selecting a playlist of podcasts you want to listen to and when you are listening to one and then go back in to the app, it doesn’t hold your place. I’ve also had podcasts stop all of a sudden and have to open the app again and find my place. You should also be able to skip forwards and backwards from your lock screen.
Needs changes
I like having the app and all articles in one user friendly place however if you are listening to a podcast or music on a different app it turns off when going into the Mamamia app. I think in a way this is trying to force people to listen to things in their app which is a bit frustrating. I avoid using the app for this reason and use the mobile webpage instead
Best Media (and everything else) App!
Mamamia has been in my ears for years but I kept forgetting to download the App until now. All my favourite bits, articles, podcasts, tips in the one place, and all the content I need to keep up to date with the world and dig deeper into the things I love. I may never bother with the internet again! Also, M+ is amazing value for money and the content is next level. Extraordinary Stories and Out Loud are my happy place. Love it, love it, love it!

Episodes stop and start
I love the content on here but the app makes it impossible to have an enjoyable experience. Recently when listening the episodes stop and start. I have tried reinstalling the app and nothing helps. I am seriously considering unsubscribing from Mplus because of this which is a shame. please make this more accessible and easy to use you are loosing subscribers because of this app!

Easy to navigate and a welcome daily news update , always checking the latest podcasts. A great user interface. Love it 😍
Glitchy
The podcast part is quite glitchy - podcasts won’t start, no reload/refresh function for when it does freeze, etc. was hoping the new MM app would function better than their last one but thinking I’ll just use Apple podcast app instead for now. Hopefully can be fixed soon. Worth noting the articles area seems to work fine, so perhaps just some podcast function bugs to be sorted.
