Even though I don’t practice every day, I understand that coming back to TM whenever feels right to me is so wonderful and leads me to inner peace
App useless with waiting list
Sadly this app is useless. I signed up for the waiting list. No way to use it already in some way. Very disappointing 😕
Good but not perfect
The app is very nicely designed and easy to use. The one thing it’s missing is a count-up timer with screen on option. So one could start the timer and quickly glance to see how many minutes one has been meditating. This feature is good for those that don’t like to be jarred out of meditation by a chime as soon as the twenty minutes is up. Then it would be perfect.
Opportunities to Improve
Having practiced the TM and TM-Sidhi programs for decades, I was excited to find a timer app with everything I needed. (I do not use the “library” function, so I do not have feedback for that). Here are some opportunities for improvement. Consider applying more UI (User Interface) best practices, especially Apple HIG (Human Interface Guidelines); e.g., make the play/pause control a button instead of a “number 11/greater than” graphic; some fonts are too small to read when screen is dimmed; add a “Next segment button “>>” instead of swiping; make a “rewind 5 or 10 minutes button” available for appropriate timer segment; add seconds to the countdown timer; avoid superfluous animations (it takes 12 seconds to start the timer function and the animation during timer segments doesn’t provide useful information - eyes are closed anyway!). Please provide the option to disable the app from overriding/locking out the phone’s volume control (currently, the app locks out the phone’s volume controls; manually delaying or advancing segments causes multiple/parallel timers to run so that unwanted chimes go off in the middle of segments (and the final audio playback track plays two versions slightly offset from each other); keep the volume the same when putting in earphones (currently, the app changes volume on its own when inserting AirPods in the ear); make the volume slider control less sensitive. I look forward to a future version where the timer is as simple and effortless (and frictionless) as the meditation technique!
Good but some issues
I’ve been very happy with the app , however sometimes randomly the sound effects are very very loud . I check them after and they’re only on 10% . It can be very startling
Great app when it works
I am showing only 4 days on a Golden Streak. I have 139 days. It seems the app is not working. Thank for the update. I appreciate it.
App not accessible since update
Ever since the app got updated, it just shows a blank screen. Uninstalling and reinstalling didn’t help, on the contrary, now I don’t even get a link to confirm my account, so that’s that for this app. That’s pretty lame, guys.

How is there no dark mode?
I’m not one of those “I need dark mode everywhere for everything” people. But how do you not provide a darker theme when users are using your app in the dark at 4/5AM? The bright white screen first thing in the morning is really not how I want to start my day. …yet I’ve been putting up with it for years now 👎🏼

The TM app really helps me meditate. The timer, sounds, organization of the app all prove helpful.

“Diving”
When my husband took the TM course in the late ‘70’s he was taught a much more in depth and more comprehensive and thorough way. When I took it, they told me that they could teach it to me in spite of the short time I had to learn it. Practically all we did was just sit there. I was not taught thoroughly as he was so I have never achieved the depth of consciousness that I was hoping for.
Fine
The app is fine I really only use it for the timer since it is such a nice and subtle sound. BUT sometimes the timer straight up just does not go off. This has made me late to work multiple times…

I am beyond grateful for the training I received in Transcendental Meditation and the positive effects it has on my life and those whom I am in contact with. The app is filled with great information, tools and resources to improve and deepen your meditation practice and is easy to use. ✨🙏🏼🌀

All functions do not work
Settings do not stay such as share with apple health. Start calendar on Sunday and the timer is not working at all. Good thing I do not really need the timer however at times it may come in handy. The sharing and connecting with apple health would be nice however without having to manually input
Volume glitch
I like the app however have found that the volume defaults to a very low volume each time I use it. Unless I check and increase the volume before meditating I do not hear the sound indicating that 20 mins is over. It would be helpful if the volume stayed at the level applied in settings.
Finding Clarity
This app is a comprehensive sanctuary for my practice. I love the vast library of events, the inspiring user testimonies, and the gentle, helpful reminders. Being able to revisit and replace sessions, like my favorite meditations with Bob Ross, makes it feel truly personal and accessible. A must-have for anyone seeking mindfulness.
Lovely but integrate Apple Watch!
Great but would love intégration of Apple Watch for smoorher in and out with vibration or haptics on the Watch. Great knowledge base!

Wonderful Tool
This app provides great support for new meditators and contains enriching content for meditators on their journey. I love the timer, access to the truly wonderful group meditations with Bob Roth, and the library of articles, videos, and even music. Love the app, happy to be a supporter and receive early access to new material.
Videos not working…. But….
I would love to give this beautiful app a5 star rating but unfortunately it’s spoiled because I am unable to watch any of the videos. The audio sections and everything else is great. I am missing out on valuable learning. It’s a real shame. I have contacted the tech team with little feedback or support. I just want it working properly. Please help!! A devoted TM meditator 🙏🙏

New number of people meditating on timer screen is intrusive
This used to be my favourite TM timer. The sound at the end is a gentle re-entry. But the new feature of showing the number of people meditating on the timer screen is terrible. Sitting down to meditate is a quiet, introspective act, and then as soon as I open the app for the timer, there’s this forced element of information from the outside, creating comparison and competition rather than the sense of community that may have been intended. The app needs an option to turn the counter off, not just stop it with airplane mode (which just stops it from changing as people start and stop meditating; the status number remains on the screen, unwelcome). I will have to stop using this app because of this intrusive element on the timer screen because it does the opposite of creating the conditions that work well for me for meditating. I’ll check back and hope for an update that removes this counter or at least gives an option for making it go away.
Sidekicked
Is it normal to feel this passionately for a practice and accompanying app? While the practice feels like a sweet, subtle shifting into alignment, the app is like a motivational sidekick, a fantastic tool. I know my newbness is showing and I don’t care. Since I am new to the practice and hence the app I am unable to speak to whether content evolves. I am hoping for deeper content as the foundation is established and practice progresses.
