I can’t log in. I love Chani.
Paying
Don’t get me wrong I LOVE the app but I don’t like that I have to pay to try to fall asleep or pay to find inner peace. In words I hate to have to pay 110 dollars a year for everything
Not the best
Not specific enough. A lot of the information is general and not very personal compared to other astrology apps. It’s also annoying to navigate and I’m not a fan of the busy interface. I keep trying to give this app chances but I’m always disappointed.
Respect but lost enthusiasm
Ive been using the app on and off for some time. Ive decided to cancel the subscription as its difficult to justify paying so much for basically the same text edited in different ways. Why do Chani’s weekly updates sound like a 50 year old woman trying to sound like a californian teenager? After a while it grates. Perhaps shes been in LA too long but god damn the new age californian drivel is strong. Her political messaging (which I generally support her views) shows that astrology is not universal. It is made up in relation to the person reading it and is really just a form of narcissism. Ive realised over time that living life by checking on your horoscope everyday is not a healthy way to live. It is another form of disconnection in a disconnected society. People become devotees to Chani rather than listening to their own inner voice and intuition (unless of course Chani tells us to listen to our intuition on this conjuction). I do respect Chani and I wish her well but its time to leave the LA spiritualist, pseudopsychological fart circle.

i absolutely love this app !! i paid for the monthly subscription for maybe a year before buying the yearly sub. it’s definitely worth it. my biggest concern is not having a dark mode option. my whole phone is set up on dark mode so this one app makes my eyes hurt a lil but i can’t stay away cuz the info is so good. dark mode me please ! lol.
Great Astrology, not great politics
I love the astrology of the app but I don’t like the biased political opinions that get put into the meanings of each transit, I think it’s limiting to an individual’s interpretation. I believe that people should be able to interpret what’s happening astrologically through their own lense, which is universal and global, not confined to the politics of the USA in my opinion. I have found it to bring a negative sense of doom to what I like to be an optimistic astrological forecast.
Southern Hemisphere
I love your app! And I get it.. you live in the US so you reference everything in northern hemisphere timelines but would LOVE if you could also just reference the impact for southern hemisphere. Eg: solar eclipse hits us in different timings. I don’t even know if my daily readings are inline with southern so I often wonder if I’m reading them a day late. Or ifs adjusted off my profile? Otherwise I would pay for the app. But I love you, love the app and sending your country lots of love as navigates its way out of the mess that’s been created. Very grateful to be an Aussie and we’d love to have you down here sometime ❤️💛🖤
I wasn’t an astrology person when I came to this app.
But in the pandemic I read Chani’s book and joined as a flagship member. I have held on to the app ever since. What I loved about this app is the positive psychology of it. There’s telling you what you have to believe, zero dogma. It’s just “take what you want and leave the rest.” And I find this gentle maxim like all their gentle suggestions help me be open to a deep listening in myself and a deep listening to the cycles of the world. I’m grateful to the staff that make this app. Good people doing good work, and then turning the profits back to excellent pay, benefits, and community investments.. These folks are walking the walk of being good stewards, but really tho. See the somewhat hilarious Forbes article about the company. The writer feels somehow aghast with the message, “so, I guess you can be a company that has massive growth and also pays employees very well and also donates millions to humanitarian causes? Huh. Who knew.”
Eh
I’ve used the app for a year now and honestly it’s not worth it. The readings are just ramble, jumping from once place to another. The “personal” weekly readings are about 15 mins but have NOTHING to do with your chart or current transits. She spends 5 mins talking about astrology, 1 min on “where it it’s happening in your chart” (doesn’t go in depth), and the rest is politics and convincing people to start a gardens.

Beyond the fact that the majority of the app is behind a paywall, my actual chart was wrong.
Not inclusive, Way too political
Love all the work that goes into the app BUT Chani makes me feel excluded like half the time because I don’t subscribe to many of her views. Which ironically is the very thing Chani is fighting against! Would love for her to speak at a higher level to more universal values than specific causes she’s into.

I downloaded the app. I gave my information and then it froze and it won’t let me get into the app.
Notifications Error
Love the app (in the previous design) but the notifications always throw an error
Wrong birth chart
The design is amazing, I would have loved to work with it but unfortunately the app got my complete birth chart wrong. I compared it with Astro.com and two other calculations but I couldn’t use it.
Poor redesign
I am a long-time subscriber to this app, and I truly love it. Sadly, the new redesign makes for a poor user experience. There is little contrast between the background and foreground colours so it’s difficult to read the information presented — this also makes for poor accessibility. The old design had a much clearer hierarchy of information. Please consider darkening the background colour to make the app more accessible.

Basically a Co-Star knock off with less readings and some random podcast girl. Everything is behind a paywall. Not worth it!!! Bye
Include all Time Zones options
Hey Chani, could you consider a way of including other time zones in your app/weekly updates? Maybe we could select the relevant time zone in the settings and then it could automatically update the forecasts. I really dislike having to do my own conversions every time and am moving toward Asian/Australian astrologists because of it. Just a suggestion! You’re amazing and you deserve to go global :) xx
It’s only pretty
It put my signs in the wrong houses, even though sun, moon and rising signs are correct. As is my birth info. And literally nothing except the graph of the birth chart is free. Can’t do anything unless I’m paying a lot a lot of money monthly/yearly. It does look pretty though.

Beautiful, but lately oh-so political
I love the app and everything about it! I’ve been using it for a couple years now, with the premium subscription and look forward to the weekly forecast. But starting in 2025 especially, it’s soooo heavily political, it’s really hard for me to enjoy it. I had to skip almost completely the first 30 minutes of the Q1 forecast for this reason. Don’t take me wrong, I know these things matter and a mention is definitely reasonable for historic/transit context reasons - but when I’m enjoying this usually positive ritual I’m rather trying to escape some of these things, not get more worked up and worried about it. Plus, I’m European… :) Thanks CHANI and team for all the hard work though.
Waffle
The imagery of this app is so beautiful but the astrology is pure nonsensical waffle. Trying to make sense of it frustrated me no end so I deleted it. Go and put your chart deets into ChatGPT and ask it for a reading if you like direct non fluff answers.

This is my 2nd year using the Chani app and I went for a couple months without it after losing my job, but I missed it too much and had to subscribe again! I religiously listen to my weekly reading, Chani is calming and also passionate when the time is right. I have also started meditating for the first time in my life and am never going back! The meditations are short (sometimes I wish they were a little longer) which makes them doable to fit into anyone’s day. Plus they are all people powered and don’t use AI!! *Chef’s kiss* 🫶🙌💫
Chain app is broken
I put in all my birth details and triple checked that it was correct and it told me I was a Gemini rising and not a Taurus rising. Make it make sense??
Perfect place for Astro beginners:)
She’s lovely, but if you’re an international listener of the podcast and are outside of the United States, half of what she says doesn’t apply to you. You’ll have to filter out her political news from her own country, which can be a little annoying at times. Other than that, I do enjoy the weekly news briefing on the planetary energies, and I do love to check in on the app. The design and attention to detail is awesome.
Love the app- readings are too political
CHANI I think you’re extremely gifted and a very intelligent person. That’s a given! You help so many across the world with your readings and insights. However, the week ahead readings on Spotify have become far too political, the first half of them is just peppered with your own personal political views, maybe think about making a separate podcast for that? I used to really enjoy your readings but now I unfortunately just turn them off because I can’t stand to hear more about why you hate Trump etc. if you want to maybe change the branding of the readings saying that it will be a political rant/horoscope readings that way people can be prepared. I appreciate your message but there is a place and time for those things and when people look forward to these weekly readings and then all they get is political slander, it gets tired. Just my two cents. Thank you for what you do otherwise!
Life Changing
The CHANI app has been on my phone for nearly 2 years now. I can honestly say I don’t know where I would be without it. The daily horoscopes egging me on to do my best and rest. The notifications sending me messages that truly align with what is happening in my life. They make great reminders to keep moving forward, and to not let the small stuff stand in your way. The app eggs me on to be creative when I need it the most. The best part being, I get to support an amazing company that cares for their employees as if they were family. Not only an amazing app, but an outstanding company.
New update replaced transit names with vague titles
The recent update no longer lets you know what transit your experiencing. That was my favourite part of the app. It’s useless to me now, tried keeping it for a few days but I don’t even open it anymore, will probably delete now. There are other apps that provide that info, dates, explanations and more for free (try Time Passages if you’re looking for a new free alternative!)

Lost the focus
CHANI and team: the product has in the past two years been mostly great. As a long time astrology enthusiast, it’s been spot on, on many occasions, and really helped me parse through the everything. However in the past 6 months, the content has become overly verbose, emphatic and lacking in focus. I listen to my husband’s content and half of his weekly, is the same as mine. I lately feel like I’m being taken on a frilly and all-too-familiar journey of CHANIS vocabulary, without enough filter or focus. The generalised intro to the annual quarterly is not a welcome feature. I’d really hoped to see a sun sign reading introduced to the weekly. The ambient dominance of American politics needs to check itself, too. $20 a month is OTT. Thank you, bye.
Amazed all the time
These readings nail it for me every single week. I am just loving the personal readings that come with a subscription and I’m loving Chani’s energy - so positive, so inspiring. She looks at the stars and sees into my soul, I swear.
A Minor Critique
Love the poetic and easy to follow astrology. I have some ideas that would improve the user experience of the app. I actually have quite a few as I’m a designer who dabbles in UI. But the most pressing for me personally, is that when I’m listening to the reading and reading the transcript I can’t pause the reading if I’m taking notes or if I am looking at my chart to get a visual sense of what’s happening. Would so appreciate the play stop controls to be accessible while reading the transcript.
Fab content but app itself has flaws 🥀
I love CHANI as the depth of information available is insightful. I love listening to the affirmations and podcasts, and the app feels like an ✨immersive✨ experience. Unfortunately there’s one frustrating component: release times for readings need to be launched based on time zones (kinda frustrating as I plan my week ahead and I can’t do that if it’s not available).
Too US-centric
I have cancelled my subscription and will likely delete the app eventually because every week I have to hear about Tr*mp despite not even living in the US. I get that it’s important to the American audience but it completely alienates the rest of us. It’s a great app and I’ve got a lot out of it but I used it for personal growth, not US politics updates. I used to find this grounding and calming but now I just get stressed with all the scaremongering. So thank you to the Chani team for all of your work, but I can’t continue using it in its current state.
Abundance Sound bath- LOVE!!
Love the app, love the meditations and the sleep meditations. Tonight my 4yo was distraught because he did NOT want to go to sleep. Tonight as I tried to calm him down I put on the soundbath soundtrack from the app AND INSTANTLY he chilled out as we cuddled and fell asleep. Of course it chilled me out too. The thing about this app- Is the team is always growing the app and I am always surrounded by a wealth of goodness to tap into and definitely need that these days. Thank you so much Chani and team!

… Let me use my Apple login. This app only needs my birth data. You do not need my telephone number, even my name/email. The login process you have in place, “at least x characters, 1 digit number, 1 special character, on match password/nickname(?) etc” is far too tedious..

i like the paid version of the app for everything except the daily forecasts in text format which i believe are not written by chani, but her team. its great to have one's birthchart to hand, and to be informed of transits as they happen. i like the rising-sign specific weekly forecast. but. in the daily forecasts, the examples of how the astrology might manifest are insultingly trivial, condescending and banal. i find the person they appear to believe they are addressing is extremely alien - and alienating - to me. not everyone lives in north america and works a low to midlevel job in an office. not everyone is an Etsy-loving millenial.
