What people like
- Blocks ads so websites look cleaner
- Easy to use and navigate daily
- Feels fast and modern compared to others
What they complain about
- VPN keeps disconnecting and crashing
- App runs very slowly on my phone
- Does not sync with your desktop properly
- Aggressively pushes you to buy the pro version
Awesome app
This app has slowly replaced Safari on my phone, it’s is my goto app fast and modern
Did not want!
I have no idea how Avast got on my tablet. I don’t want it on my tablet but don’t know how to get rid of it.
So underrated
Good
Bad update
I do NOT like the new interface. Why move the tabs?! Now I keep accidentally clicking the wrong tab to open because I was so used to it. at the very least give people the option. It is more a hindrance than an update.
Avasti
Very good great
doesnt work
crashed before it even opens
Safe browser
This is a decent browser option for ad blocking and anonymous page viewing.
Doctor apps
I'm annoyed when I cannot connect to my doctor's patient system. It took me 50 minutes to check in for an sppointment which made my entire day shift all appointments. And I still cannot get notifications from the doctors office!
Update issues!
Most recent update continues to log out of websites previously signed into. It worked great for years, but the latest update needs some bugs worked out.
The best browser
One of the best browser I have ever used so far. I’m so impressed by how I navigate the bowser when I get my work done and it works perfectly for me.
Use to work really well
For the last few months this app is not working at all. I will not be renewing my subscription and pay for a better app
f tier browser
it runs at like 3fps on my perfectly fine phone i only use it to run alt accounts
Unexpected error
Every time I close the browser with webpages still up EVERY TIME I return I see. “Something happened! The browser ran into an unexpected condition and can’t fulfill the request: webview crashed” and in the url “internal://error/unexpected_condition?error_description=webview crashed&sig=h59vIqU7TGKlwAVBi3aTIf-MLzF-FCWCjKd1ALL9qtE”. Before the major update that NEVER HAPPENED!
Needs an update
I subscribed to the pro version and when I go online, the VPN changes from the avast browser VPN to the Avast browser VPN-DW and makes my browser stay in a loading state so I have to go back to VPN and select the original VPN for my browser to load. This is very annoying.
Great
Great
You destroyed a great product with the latest upgrade
You destroyed a great product with the latest upgrade. Complex ui , unstable vpn , full of confusion . How can you destroy such a good product??
Secure
Avast’s secure Browser provided me with confidence to browse worry free.
Stuck with Bing
The latest version removed the option of selecting your default search engine. You get Bing, and that’s it.
Question
Please if we pay for the vpn…does it work only for the app or it can work for the whole phone
Awesome Browser
Awesome, Secure Browser. Highly Recommend.
Worthless
Doesn’t play YouTube videos at all
Too pushy on trying to sell you on the upgrade to the pro
Very good browser. Excellent idea would get five stars, but I’m just turned off by the fact, they pushed the pro version so hard. It becomes annoying. Maybe they can work on that and I give it five stars.
Eigentlich
VPN Function no longer works on the free app.
I have been using Avast Secure Browser for years now and for whatever reason, turning on the vpn instantly switches it back off, so it’s not very reassuring that it’s truly private anymore if one of the most important features have been negated! If it weren’t for this sudden glaring issue, this would be 5 Stars!
Best app
This is one of if not the best app I own which is insane since I have over 300 apps
Close tabs removed
Feature to close tabs when browser is closed has been removed and there hasn’t been any communication of it.
Use
Wonderful
Melhorias

Great protection so far
My computer was hacked and had this software installed and working great so far.
Sync still doesnt work
Won’t sync history or bookmarks with desktop app. Desktop works among other computers, but iOS avast secure browser sync doesnt work Have tried everything recommended by Avast and other help sites. Including resyncing and logging out and back in. Including re installing on all devices. Just not functional between ios and desktops. IOS fully up to date. Have tried on windows 7, 10, and 11.
So far so good
Nice so far
Great Browsing App!! Private and Easy to use.
I love this browser. It keeps me safe online with privacy features, it’s easy to use and navigate, and so much more!!! I highly recommend AVAST for your next App Store download or browser to use everyday! Keeping you safe and secure while doing anything you need to get done. What more could you want?! Download this now!!!!! Yay (:
AVG Ultimate VIP
This app (along with the desktop versions AVG browser) should be included in the subscription packaged named in the title of this review!
Great app
Great protection and privacy but is slow after a few minutes of use
free vpn removed
hello! why did you remove the free vpn? it was a nice addition to the app and the reason why I even started using it on my phone. This has happened with the free adblock on the pc version of your browser too. I got to say that it is really disappointing.
Good
It has kept me saved as far, and therefore, I have no problems with it at all!
Browsing history still saved
Private mode still saves browser history, using it just enables vpn by default
Doesn't allways work
Sometime, sites that used to work doesn't start.
Great protection!
Love the available options for security in the Premium subscription ! It works hard so I don’t have to worry abt trackers, ads and everything else that slows down progress or bogs down the memory! Happy so far!
Doesn’t open
Gives error message on opening. Needs updating.
Question
Does the app block just browser ads for IOS or does it also block APPS?
Avast Pro ??!
The app used to be able to block YouTube ads and now it doesnt block any of them. Even after updating the app several times, it didnt work.
