Great, but I miss the buddies, like the Breakfast Bud’s and Barking Bard.
Teaching Textbooks did great! We started doing it in 5th grade, and my brother and I both still get taught really well. I like that you don’t have to read it because it has videos to watch, but if you want to read it, then they have a part to read the lessons and learn. I think it’s good that in the beginning they refresh you on addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, just in case you need a reminder. And I also like that they re-teach you the things you learned last grade, so in case you didn’t feel like you understood something the best you can see it again and probably understand it better. The one thing I don’t like is that they got rid of the buddies and replaced them with non-talking animated wallpapers. I think they should really add that back. But it is still 5 stars. 🐈 🐈⬛

Ok I’m a 13 yr old homeschooled girl and the stickers make me feel like a baby…I mean yes they’re encouraging but so lame…and I wish u could mute the voice bc it makes me mad when he’s talking and I’m trying to think. Okay, I’ve used teaching textbooks for about three years now as i am homeschooled because my mom can’t teach math and we couldn’t find any other curriculum that work. This is the closest we have come to finding a half decent program and its not even good. Its buggy, glitchy, and over all the worst part is THE MANS VOICE!!! No offense to the person but I can’t tell if it is AI, a math professor, or just some random hobo they pulled off the streets, brought to a recording studio, so he could make a quick buck. The only reason i am giving it two stars is because its the only program that works. I have ADHD so it makes it really hard for me to just sit down at my desk and listen to the lecture, that’s one of the reasons I’m homeschooled. I recently realized though that at the end of a lesson they will give you this “meme” that they made and one of them is about this lion saying he will give you your own kingdom and the lion looks like the one you see at the beginning of a movie like Willie Wonka for example. Not sure if they even have permission from that movie producer or what but it seems fishy to me. Overall would not recommend, try and find something else before spending your hard earned money on this.
The math is very easy
I’m in sixth grade and I’m doing this eighth grade math, and it’s VERY EASY even though it says it’s “pre-algebra.” My only other critique is that sometimes it doesn’t explain how to do the math very well. But other than that, it’s a great math app, and you should download it unless you want to be challenged.

This math is amazing! Some people complain about the voice it’s not that bad. It really prepares you for real life. I have been doing this math forever and I love it! I 100% recommend

I am 14 years old… THIS APP STARTS OFF TEACHING ME ROMAN NUMERALS WHEN IT’S SUPPOSED TO BE PREPARING ME FOR ALGEBRA. I ONLY STARTED LEARNING THINGS AT LESSON 50 OR SO. AND THAT’S BECAUSE IT STARTS OFF TEACHING ABOUT ROMAN NUMERALS, ADDITION, SUBTRACTION IN FRACTION FRACTIONS IN MULTIPLICATION AND STUFF. don’t even get me started on this guy’s voice. It’s the most annoying thing besides the GIFs that it gives you after every problem and boy you better believe that if I’m having a bad day and I hear this guy say.” sorry this isn’t the answer we were looking for please try again.” in his mocking little tone that I’m getting angry now I don’t mean to make myself out as a toddler but good night alive. Can you give us multiple options on The Voice? The gifs for after you get a problem, right are something less than a reward. They are so disturbing. I wouldn’t show these to my grandparents. They have one that literally looks like kujo then another of a milkshake DRINKING ITSELF!!! And if they aren’t disturbing they’re just down right weird. I feel angry every single time I hear that guys voice, this app is discouraging.
I really liked it as a homeschool student
Starting off, I really enjoy this app, while it does start off way to easy, by the end it is actually pretty difficult and I learned a good bit. I like how this program has a video tutorial to start off each lesson as well as a narration for every question, which as a dyslexic person, I really enjoy. There are occasional bugs and glitches within the program, but if you call the staff, they usually solve it quickly. It’s really good, but could use a few fixes.
Cannot get the new lessons to load
Get error report that says "Offline" and cannot load new lessons. Computer is hardwired to internet and all other applications work with internet. Very frustrating. I've removed program and reloaded current version multiple times and still having same error. Computer is up to date and no firewall is blocking the incoming signals to Teaching Textbooks.
Glitchy
Just started using this math and at first all was well, but then it started to get really glitchy and I can now barely even finish a lessonI was using my Apple Pencil to help me write out the answers on the scratchpad now it doesn’t work😓Pls add an update and fix this!!!

THIS SUCKS
This app CANNOT teach you or your child what you need. It’s hard to follow and is very stressful. For example, I’m in lesson 56 and I’m still doing adding decimals as a few of the 20-24 problems in a lesson if they were to just make us not be doing stuff we learned months ago WE’D HAVE 12-15 PROBLEM LESSONS, therefore making it 2 stars, #2 this app is INSANELY laggy unless you have a high end PC you CANNOT be ever satisfied with the quality of this app I have a IPhone 15 Pro Max so I KNOW it’s not me it is just this bad app If it was less laggy and more smooth it would be a 3 star. #3 it’s VERY childish, when your in 7-9th grade doing this you don’t want “stickers” and “wallpapers” if the developers are gonna try to be “hip” or “cool” with the kids ACTUALLY MAKE IT GOOD, I cringe after every answer and every time finishing the lessons, (idea) maybe make something half decent like trophies or a currency? Make it actually somewhat mildly enjoyable so I’m not dying after every cringey sticker. For example there is a sticker of this grubby messy black haired creep popping out of a chimney with a duster I think? And saying he wishes he could switch places with me… IN WAHT UNIVERSE IS THIS EVEN HARDLY ENOUGH FOR ME TO SMILE. If you did the trophies or just removed the stickers all together it would be a 4 star. FINALLY if you want to achieve a 5 star… you need to hire some decent people the voice actor isn’t a bad voice but it gets VERY old add a few so it changes it up a bit. And add some decent designers they are not that good it’s “unique” but it doesn’t wanna make me like math anymore, and change up the colors that’s do blue and dull yellow are reminding me of a burnt Ukrainian flag honestly, and it’s just so boring make it like red and black or something make it POP, if you do all this and actually add updates I ASSURE you you will become atleast a 4 star game with thousands of reviews

A lot of people don’t like this app because it’s buggy and glitchy and because of the man’s voice. I was the voice is a little annoying, but even in real school you could have a teacher who sounds annoying. I am in ninth grade and I actually really enjoyed using this app last year. I think it explains it very well and it’s very organized and it creates like a fun way to learn with stickers and different fun images that pop up when you get a question right and I think it’s very nice that they give you the option to redo a problem that you got wrong. I used to hate that all my life on this app really explain things well and now it’s one of my favorite subjects so I would totally recommend this app.

IT FORCE QUITES ON ME!!! Idk why maybe a glitch or maybe it hates me!!! Also some of the stickers once you get a problem right are so disgusting and disturbing who is your artist!!! Why is the guys voice is so robotic? Don’t laugh when a problem is like 2+2+2+2+2+2 it’s not funny!!! IT IS NOT!!!!! And honestly making us relearn how to add is very frustrating because we ALREADY KNOW HOW TO ADD!!!😤🤬😡no offense.
Best math ever
It’s very fun it has helped me through 8th grade and I love teaching textbooks and I highly recommend it to families. Although, there is something that kills me every time. The answer submission bug is back and annoying as ever. But there than that, I love TT

Ok so i really like this curriculum I have used it since 6 grade and now I’m in 8th. I wish you could change the guy’s voice but it’s fine. There’s a glitch where you have idk 2 months left of math and it will say you have 9 months left… freaked me out the first time I saw it. But I literally started school yesterday and I got one wrong and the question was. Where were Roman numerals created?????? you would guess Rome right…well I did and it was wrong it said it was India????? And I look it up on google and I was right believe it or not. So now my average grade is 96% because I was right. But don’t get me wrong this is an pretty good app each lesson averages about 20-45 minutes? It’s not bad compared to what I had to do in public school. You get to pick fun wallpapers for the lessons and you can go back and look at the lecture if you forgot something. I say interested and it’s way faster than public school. I recommend this app but just be aware of the glitches.
Wonderful program for dyslexia students
We begin using teaching textbooks when my dyslexia son was in 4th grade. He is now in Pre Algebra and doing great. I have no complaints. I wish i could find other subjects like this one

HORRIBLE DO NOT EVER GET IT
When I was in eighth grade I used this, it was so hard to understand I almost failed math because of it. There is no way to review any of the previous lessons without going through and watching every single 10 lesson video all over again. It had glitched out and deleted all of my progress that I had been working on for hours and it has caused me so much stress. Do not get this program please, it’s expensive and not worth it at all

Great app for homeschoolers. Could use a bit more programing though. A lot of people say that there are glitches and bugs, which is true. Thats because its on a phone. This obviously wasn’t programmed for mobile use. If you have a windows pc, download it for free. Yup. Thats all i gotta say 😐 A review from a homeschooler

First of all, it’s super glitchy and second the man’s voice is awful. Sounds like a robot from 1931. And then if you tried looking some of the math up on other websites, it’s wrong but teaching textbook says it’s true on the first. It said that in the UK they used the standard system or imperial which is not true and they have not used it since the 1970sand I was wrong and it they said it was true and so it was really annoying so don’t use this. They have incorrect math.

Really Glitchy
About every 3 problems my daughter does, it tells me that the app is not responding and it takes like 2 minutes to start back up and my daughter has to record her school time so it gets really annoying sometimes that is the only problem I have with this other than that I love this

It’s great but sometimes when I’m doing a lesson it won’t let me put in a answer. Then when I try to reload back on it still doesn’t let me do anything even when I go to the next lesson. Please improve this app! 🤘🏽🐺

Scratchpad eraser
It’s pretty good but… when I use the scratchpad, then after some time I use the eraser, the whole app freezes until I have to go out and go back in. Needs to be fixed!!
Almost good
I have been using teaching textbooks for quite a while. The lessons are good but it’s the ui that is the problem. Many buttons are too small and don’t always register when clicked, Pulling down the control menu mid lecture makes it to where the lecture is not playable unless you leave it, Some lessons don’t even have the problems in them, and sometimes answer explanations will overlap if skipped at the wrong time. Overall just needs some general fixes.

This is really great! I’ve been waiting for years to be able to use this with my phone. Thanks! However, one problem, can the stickers when you get a problem wrong be turned off? I can turn off the other stickers bc they distract me, but not the incorrect one. Other than that, great app! I love TT. ❤️ Thanks!

Whenever I come across an equation with the answer being 1/x, the answer will not register and will say I get it wrong. I checked many times and my answer was correct, but it affected my grade for nothing. Please fix.
