What people like
- Really helps beginners learn their first notes
- Great for middle school trumpet students
- Makes music easy for total newbies
What they complain about
- Premium costs over four hundred dollars a year
- You can only play one free lesson
- They refuse to refund expired trial charges
- Hard to cancel subscription or find support
Love it
That’s really good app for learning and practicing
Not worth it
They will not refund you if you forget to cancel the free trial. I found videos I could get for free on YouTube were more helpful than the app. It was a $197.99 mistake.
Really good
Really good I just found the voice near the start annoying when it would repeat every time
Let users skip songs
This was raised 2 years ago by someone. Allow users to play songs they like and skip they don’t
Good app but some adjustments are needed
I’ve been trying to learn trumpet recently so this app is helping me but that’s when I started to realize I need premium for the rest of the lessons which is a problem because I can’t find any other app that helps me learn the trumpet so all I have is this one which is costing for more lessons and only gives just one.
Great for learning
I’m in middle school and I’m still learning trumpet, but this has helped I lot, I recommended it a LOT.
Trash
Already bought $1000 trumpet. Why do I need to pay for lessons? Just make it free.
Chien
The beginning is weird
It’s kind of annoying at the beginning if you’ve already known the notes or like the songs and when the songs come up, you’re like OK so I have this note and if you’re not a beginner, this kind of boring for the test runs
Wonderful
Helps a lot
Rip Off (unethical business practice)
I tried to cancel this subscription last year. Get this, the subscription purchase is eerily not listed under my Apple purchases. So it’s difficult to cancel the subscription because it doesn’t show. This is some sort of trickery. No number to call. No customer service website. This app just keeps renewing a membership that I do not want. And clearly they’ve made it difficult to cancel.
Premium is expensive
With premium, it gives you unlimited access to lessons, songs and courses but, if you don’t have premium, it gives only one lesson and only about 6 song. The only way to get songs other than the 6 song is the challenge. I am giving a 3 star because I used the premium and got better. What I’m trying to say is please remove the premium. Thanks if you read this Tonestro
Buyer Beware
I was recently charged $149 for a subscription I never intended to keep or use. I had started the free trial to encourage a friend to join, but I forgot to cancel it before it renewed. When I reached out to ask if I could be charged for just one month instead of the full year, the response was a firm no. They explained that Apple and Google’s terms don’t allow refunds for subscriptions not canceled on time, as the right of withdrawal is waived upon purchase. This was my mistake, but it’s a financial one I simply cannot afford. I’m writing this as a reminder for others—if you’re trying out this app, make absolutely sure to cancel the trial in time if you’re not ready to commit. The app itself may be great, but I won’t have the chance to find out because of this costly oversight. I hope my experience helps someone avoid the same situation.
YAY
I was struggling for music, but when I tried this I learned F note successfully and got three stars on my songs
I hated it
All it does is teach you stuff your tv could do i do not reccomemd
good
idk so far so good
Meh
I was really excited to get this as a 5th grade trumpet player but it turns out I had to pay and I couldn’t of play ANY songs without paying for premium it’s unfair really I couldn’t play any songs nor could i do lesson I’m probably gonna delete it, if you have money you can pay for this app
PREMIUM
Come on!! It’s premium that’s soo annoying. I would also like if they added the name of the notes under the actual notes
Brass
Trumpet is the member of the brass family
Beware the free trial!
The annual fee is absolutely huge, and you will definitely forget to cancel before it kicks in. Do not trial this product unless you’re ready to pay $149.
Tonestro is good
Very good :D. Only thing is the how much you play thing is very laggy. 4/5
The app is awesome
It is really good but I have to pay premium I just want to learn how to play trumpet and I have to pay. I thought this was a free app, but I thought wrong. I should’ve figured because most apps are like this, but I can never pay it because I don’t wanna spend my money on things I do not need to do. I just want to have a talent for once, I have other options so I chose to delete this because I need to pay to move forward and I’m not wasting my hard earned money on it. If you do not pay you just get a different app. Don’t wish your time and another thing is that they only tell you one note before you could even move on, you have to pay to learn other notes like I could learn that somewhere else I would rather download a different app or learn myself then do this
It’s good if you have lots of money to spend
To get the full experience for a year you have to pay 450$, but it still ends. It’s annoying that I have to pay 95$ for a month of music lessons that I’ll probably use four or five times. But overall if you wanna learn how to play the trumpet this is a good way to do it. If you have lots of money
GREAT APP FOR TRUMPET
I LOVE THIS APP
Pretty much everything is paywall’d
Most of the music needs premium. Most of the lessons need premium, when starting the app, it gives several popups for you to buy its premium, even after clicking no thanks and no’s a bunch of times.
Great!
Very good for beginners, but even if you say you are not a beginner, it still puts you with beginner lessons. And also, I have not seen one ad!
Feedback
Hi I was really excited to learn trumpet because one of my older brothers used to play but he moved out and left his trumpet but when I downloaded the app I realized I had to pay a lot of money to do anything, I’m 11 and I would really appreciate it if you made the learning and maybe some of the songs free and/or maybe a little bit cheaper. Thank you!
Started good but…
After I learned my first note and I passed that part you have to pay for premium witch is a lot over 400 dollars a year and I bet that a lot of people think “don’t want to pay for premium” because I thought the same thing
Buena
5
There is too much fees and nothing I can learn
I am not made of money
Naja
Wollte mit Trompete in C Lieder spielen 😕
Great but expensive
The app is great and I just started learning with it. But the price tag is too hefty, and I will only have the app for the next seven days.
Grasias
Muy bien
U can’t do anything
You can’t really do anything on the app unless you pay which is very unessery
good playing
the F note was a good start
App is ok but customer service abysmal
My child downloaded this app to learn trumpet (free trial). I realised this on the day the free trial ran out and I was charged £105, I contacted tonestro for help and not only did it take days for them to come back to me, they were spectacularly unhelpful, saying they could not help me cancel my subscription! They also refused to refund me using the fact that the trial period had already expired. Quite a surprising attitude - you won’t get repeat business like this.
Hiii
I kinda wish u didn’t have to pay to get different songs to play.
Good but idea
Okay so this is really good but you should be able to favorite songs :D
Please just don’t
I downloaded this app only to find out for the rest of the class I had to pay if yall keep making apps that have to pay just stop
so far so good
I just started using this app and am already happy with it. The premium feels a pretty expensive
Tolle App, Songauswahl unzureichend!
So sigma
Simplifies music so all newbies can understand.
I don’t like this app
They told me that 3 down is G and my teacher told me it has no keys just a high pitch
Premium
Premium is annoying you only do one lesson then you have to get the premium but it has amazing features and amazing lessons just practise 10 min then you are a master. But still hate the premium.
It’s alright
Hi, i am learning to play trumpet as a second instrument, but when i go to unlock the second lesson it wants me to subscribe to their monthly plan, to be honest i don’t really want to be paying this after the 1st lesson.
