Great for keeping in touch!!
I am in a Cappuccino group of 3 who find it very easy to keep in touch using this format. We share pictures and the highlights from our day, new books that we’ve read, thoughts on politics, and struggles we might be facing. I feel heard and supported using Cappuccino. I highly recommend this app as a good way to quickly share updates, thoughts and events.

Love this app but it could use some upgrades!
I’ve been using this app with my best friends for YEARS. It keeps us connected in each other’s day to day and we are so grateful it exists. I do think there are a few updates it could use, like being able to save certain audio, being able to go back further in conversations, and sometime it just generally gets a little glitchy but otherwise love the app!
Not supporting users from Taiwan
I’m trying to connect with my friends in Taiwan but their phone numbers are not applicable. Perhaps the system has error? Please fix this problem
It’s alright
I like cappuccino for staying in contact with my friends and family and I like the idea of sending little beans to them but I think that we should be able to open more than one bean a day without getting premium
We love the beans
My friend group has been using this app for almost 5 years! We listen to them on our way to work and it’s a nice way to keep in touch when we’re spread all over the state and only get to see each other a few times a year.

Enjoyable but Confusing
I was excited to try Cappuccino because it seemed like a fun and cute way to stay in touch with friends. The concept is great, and I love being able to leave audio notes for my friends to listen to when they have time. The interface is playful and enjoyable to interact with, which adds to the charm of the app. That said, I find the app a bit confusing to use. Maybe it’s just me, but it’s hard to tell what I have and haven’t listened to yet. The way everything is organized feels a little unclear, making it tricky to navigate. I’m not sure exactly how it could be improved, but I hope the developers continue refining the experience because the idea itself is fantastic, and I’d love to keep using it. On the bright side, the creators clearly have a strong creative vision—the app is visually appealing and fun to engage with. With some usability improvements, it could be even better!
Premium version? Seriously?
I now have to pay to listen to my friends? Still gonna use the app, just bummed this if I fall behind I have to pay now
Issues with notifications
I’ve been using cappuccino for several years and recently my whole friend group has been having issues with receiving notifications when a new prompt is added, a bean is recorded, or when the cappuccino is served. Can someone please look into this? It’s so frustrating and makes our communication inconsistent.
Best app for long distance friendships!!!
All my best friends from college live across the country and because of this app I’m able to hear from them every day it’s my own personal podcast of my favorite people on the Earth. Highly recommend this app if you want to hear from the best of friends every day.
Paywall was the word the app could’ve done
Terrible decision to put a paywall, esp one that cost $10 a month. My entire friend group deleted the app. Unfortunate!
Love, but minor wishlist
I downloaded Cappuccino on a whim several years ago and started using it to keep up with my friends throughout our weeks after we graduated. I recently moved across the country for work and I’m converting more and more friends to use it to keep in touch. It can be better than texting in that it feels more “live”, and it can be used when there’s not a good time talk synchronously. I do have minor wishes for things to be added/adjusted. I would love if there was a way to turn off notifications for cappuccinos when I’m the only one who sent the audio. It’s just a hassle to go through and fast forward to remove the unread messages, i rarely re listen to myself. Timestamps on reactions or comments could also be helpful to remember what they were responding to.
New paywall takes away from overall experience
My friends and I use this app religiously and the new paywall is a huge bummer. Taking away the ability to go back and listen to previous recordings unless you pay really kills the overall value of this app. If it isn’t already ingrained into your friend group, just stick to voice memos in a group chat.
Confusing
I like the concept, but the app is confusing to use

this is my friend group’s second time downloading cappuccino because we fell off a few years ago but it is verrrrry entertaining and helps us all keep in touch from all around the country 🤍 love
Paywall
You have to pay to listen to previous beans????? Especially 10$ a month to listen to things that me and my friends recorded??? This isnt netflix or HBO. Super disappointed and will be finding a better app for podcasts. I am disgusted with the creators and this blatant cash grab. Enjoy the little money you get from this update because i can bet you no one will be buying it. Shame on you.
Mom of Adults
I’m the mother of four adult children who live in three different places. This app has been great to keep us up-to-date about what each other is doing. You just listen to it during the time of day that is convenient for you. (I would have given it 5 stars for Apple devices, but there are service issues with non-Apple devices.)
Hate premium
They put nearly every feature behind a paywall. You can’t be in multiple groups, which is one of the main reasons I have the app!!
I’m a long time user but can’t justify premium
I have been using cappuccino with my long distance friends for a few years now, and it’s great! Recently they created a premium version which I was going to pay because I want to support the app, however I saw the prices and can’t justify it. $5/week is $260/year and $10/week is $120/year. That’s more than I pay for apps with several tools and features. And instead of adding valuable features besides prompts (my friends and I make our own for free) they put things we already use behind a paywall. I don’t like the feeling of being forced into premium by taking away things we’re used to. I’m currently looking for another app or going back to Snapchat, but will use the free version for a little longer. Edit: If Cappuccino had plans to release new, actually premium features, I would be down to support. As of now, being able to access prompts and listen to week old audio is basic and I’d pay $35-$60/year just to show support because I do enjoy the app, but not because premium is worth it. It seems like it would be a better move to pivot your marketing and present actual premium features to a paying audience. I’ll email y’all for sure!

Love that daily I can hear my family that live so far a distance. We share old and new stories and share all kinds of great information. We love this app
Keeping bean history behind a paywall ruins it
Not being able to listen to beans more than a few days old really takes away the fun and value of the app for me and my friends. The whole beauty of the app was getting to catch up with friends you don’t always have time to, and now it’s made it so that if you don’t have time, your friends may record hours of beans only to never be heard. Feels really harsh :(
Great and fun concept
I love this app and the concept of it to stay in touch with friends and family. I wouldn’t consider it super user friendly - potentially adding instruction or “how to” at the beginning would be beneficial. A few fun features would be to change up the music for different people and allow them to pic a particular sound that suits their personality.
Cappuccino Premium?
Seriously? My friends and I have loved and used this app for almost a year. But restricting some of these features is ridiculous. Not being able to delete unreleased beans, okay sure. But not being able to listen to our old memories? This app helped us stay connected during college, but these paywalls are taking the sentimentality away.
Used to love it, but now?
Don’t get me wrong, a year ago this app was FANTASTIC! I loved it! After we stopped using it for a while, I deleted it. Recently wanted to get back into it, and now I can’t do anything 😭 I’m stuck behind a steep paywall, and it won’t even let me create one group (i don’t have any current groups rn). I wanted to reuse and love this app once again, but I don’t know if i can justify $10 a month for it 😭
Love it!
I love this app a lot it’s encourage me to have deep conversations with myself and with my family and friends and I like it a lot. I’ve only been using the app for a few days, but I can see myself using this app consistently and learning a lot about myself through the journey.
Please give back history
This is such a money grab and super disappointing. Not being able to go back more than 3 days is crazy. I understand if you made new features and put a paywall… but to just take away one of the few good features of the app for people who have been using it loyally…. Is extremely disappointing. If you couldn’t go back 2 weeks I understand but if you miss one weekend or something for vacation you’re suddenly cut off from everything your friends said. I’m very disappointed
GREAT for Long Distance Friendships
I think this is SUCH a cute idea and designed so well for a smooth experience! I just wish that there was a clearer indication for people to respond to a prompt, like “check out x’s response, now it’s your turn!” Kind of thing bc it doesn’t seem clear to everyone if they should respond to same prompt or wait for a new one
Why the time limit? Why pay premium?
I enjoy this app, because it allows me to connect with my friends and catch up. But I don’t enjoy having to wait 3 hours in order to listen to their bean, nor do I enjoy having to pay premium for an app that should just be for fun. I understand money must be made, but an app such as this, should be free or the time limit should be lowered. This app may be a therapy for some, and having to wait for someone to respond can be upsetting. I hope this helps.
I still love it but the paywall is tough
I will continue using it for now because it’s a great way for me and my long distance friend groups to keep up. I never minded the daily drop; we have a group chat for more urgent matters. However paying for history is really unfortunate because listening to memories is one of the best features. One of my friends just came back from vacation to find out she can’t listen to any of our past beans. I understand paying for everything else but give us our history back. Plus, I would recommend revisiting your pay structure. $5 a week or $10 a month is a lot of money for an app that has pretty much one purpose that could be swapped with voice messages in a group chat. I would pay $30 a year.

premium pay for basic features
it’s sad to see what they are doing to cappuccino. my friends and i use this app to keep in touch in a fun way and have almost a 300 day streak, however the most recent update made it so you now have to pay for premium subscription to even revisit your previous beans. i hope they revisit this update and listen to the people. i get if they want to make some sort of subscription policy but 5 dollars a week is completely ridiculous.
Good app - but recordings are sometimes lost
This app is good and fun to use - but the absolute worst feature of it is how easy it is to lose your recording. If you get a phone call or a timer/alarm goes off (at least on ios) - your recording is gone. Not just stopped (so you can still send it) but as if it were never recorded. This has been surprisingly a big issue for my podcast group - really disheartening when you’re seconds away from finishing and someone calls unexpectedly.
Lost its spark
I mean it was cool at first, but the paywalls kinda take away from the whole experience from me. I would much rather have a bunch of ads than be told I can’t even listen to my own audio unless I buy a premium version??? Or that I can’t revisit my memories until I pay a monthly subscription???? It just takes a lot of fun out of it for me when everything I used to do for free now has a paywall up. I’d definitely still use to app if it had ads instead of a subscription based method but it’s not really something I care enough to pay for at the end of the day. Great app but only being able to make one recording one day and getting a 24 hour timer to listen to it rubbed me the wrong way 😕
Not the same…
My friends and I have been using this for such a long time. Not being able to unlock beans when you want is a total downer (not being able to respond in a timely manner…). One of my friends said, “the best time for me to listen is the morning before work (before 8). So now, the beans I listen to will be old and my responses will be less relevant “. Trying to find a substitute app that works similarly…..
Has brought so much joy and connection!!
This app has allowed me to keep in touch with my very good long distance friends for the last two years. 🥲 I love it so much and think it’s the best “social media” because it’s actually social. So amazing and hope it keeps growing!!!
Premium ruined it
App used to be great until they implemented premium. Basically took everything you used to be able to do and made it so that you have to pay $5 a week.
Great Concept But Costs Too Much
This is such a cute app and great concept. The only drawback is the price. $5 a week and even $10 a month is too expensive. I recommend switching to a base free, no frills version that lets you join and create groups and a paid membership that gives access to exclusive backgrounds, music and stickers for reactions. Increasing the price of using the app to allow for more feature development doesn’t help its current users as much as prohibit new ones. Your app is great and I want to share it with more friends but the price point isn’t feasible for everyone. Please consider a free version that still allows us to send cappuccinos🙏
So disappointed by the premium.
I LOVED cappuccino. My friends and I used it all the time, and it was so special since we’re all about to head out to college. Now, because of the premium, you’re only able to record one 3 minute podcast instead of many. This was so disappointing, and I don’t see myself using the app as often anymore. I would’ve rated 5 stars before- but now I won’t think I can do that 😭
No background music?
Is there a way to remove the background music playing? I find it hard to hear the podcast my friend records on it!

My college girlfriends and I are spread out over the globe and we’ve been using this every day for ver two years. I would be devastated if it ever went away, it’s helped us stay connected and brings so much joy daily, I’m eternally grateful!
Premium destroyed my experience
Was a great app until they unveiled premium. What a shame—it was such a convenient fun way to record little things for my friends and now I’m just super burned and discouraged. I’d rather have to listen to ads or something than pay 5 a week or 10 a month. It’s kind of silly, and well, my opinion of it is destroyed. Sad to see it go.
Great app!
My friends and I love using this app! The reason I gave it 4 stars was for a suggestion with an issue my friend had- she got locked out of her account and couldn’t access client support anywhere, and she ended up having to create a new account using a different number.. so we were thinking maybe checking your emails/dms/etc. more or just making it clearer on how to reach out to you and get in contact with support. I don’t mean this harshly, it seems like an easy fix! Other than that this app is awesome!

Love this app but I have stopped receiving notifications when my friends record new beans or to listen to cappuccinos in the morning

Perfect for long-distance friendships

Makes you buy premium
The app was amazing up until a few days ago. Now with all the feature restrictions it pretty much makes you buy the premium subscription for 4.99 A WEEK. So expensive. Not worth it. Trying to find a better app now.
love overall but PLEASE FIX THIS
i love this app, it’s brought me a lot closer to my friends BUT PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD MAKE IT SO THAT YOU DONT LOSE EVERYTHING YOUVE RECORDED WHEN YOU GET A PHONE CALL. there is nothing more infuriating than talking for almost 3 minutes and then getting interrupted by a spam call and having to start all over. the app would be 5⭐️ if this wasn’t the case. please fix this.
Not useful
Downloaded this app as i thought it would be a good way to send long messages to my long distance friends. 3 minutes is rather short to advertise yourself as a podcast for your friends app. There isn’t much use to this app if you have messenger or WhatsApp.
Needs So Many Features
I love the concept of the app, but it is lacking in a lot of basic features. Notification customization would be great; I don't need a notif every time someone likes a bean, but I still want them for other things like replies. Choosing the music (or no music even) would be great too. It kind of ruins the mood when there's upbeat jazz in the background of a serious topic
