What people like
- Kids love it and use it daily

- Brings families together during meals and bedtime
- Sturdy build and easy for small hands
What they complain about
- App pushes sales instead of controlling the device
- Setup is confusing and often fails completely
- Wi-Fi connection drops and syncs randomly
- No parental controls or volume limits in app
Nice
Really easy and helpfuld to take the kids out of screen
Too many popups
Took ages to set up, and then it popped up a bunch of windows asking me what I thought. How would I know?! Just got the thing.
Teacher user
Love using the Toniebox 2 in my classroom of SEN learners. To use with the whole group at once, the sound isn’t loud enough. Will there be an update to introduce a Bluetooth speaker as an option? I find the Tonies are invaluable to learning and would like to take the learning further and as a whole class learning opportunity.
Favourite Christmas present
Bought this for my daughter last year for Christmas and honestly I think I love it more than her. We love the Julia Donald collection and following along with the book. My favourite though is the little whale bedtime sounds, my daughter has it every night and it’s so soothing and relaxing
Toni camisotti
Easy to set up you said?! It took 2 adults 90 minutes to get the bloody thing working!
Feedback
We love our Tonie Box! We use it in the mornings! We use it at dinner time and we use it at bedtime and everywhere in between! I am loving the new controls in the app for parents! I would love to be able to reorder all and any tonies like we can with the creative tonies. As my son loves to listen to the stories first then the songs of our characters Tonjes. I recommend the Tonie Box to anyone who listens!
Language
Chose English as App language and it keeps changing parts in German! Even the request for feedback was in German! And can’t get rid of it
Loved by all the family
Not only does my 15month old love her Toniebox, we all do. We listen to the stories together, sing songs whilst making breakfast and dinner. The figures are played with and loved! It brings us together interacting away from screens. I was worried at first that this might replace story time but it doesn’t we still have time to read books. The tonies just help bring us together and occupies my little one when I can’t be hands on (I.e. when cooking) but we still sing and dance. We love ‘we’re going on a bear hunt’ and the farmyard animals were a hit from day one.
Review Bagering
Don’t ask for my feedback before I’ve started
As good as it can be
Not behd
38 pop ups
Sell sell sell. Focus more on UI for a bit
More parent controls needed
Please add shuffle play for our sanity. Also add programmed set bedtime e.g. From 7pm to 6am
So far so good
New user here, easy to set up and user friendly. Just loaded some free content on my creative tonie, but I couldn’t keep track of the ones already loaded as they were all showing the + sign next to them. Would be helpful if the ones already loaded would maybe show a download sign instead. Thanks
Doesn’t last!
We love the concept and my children love the figures. However, we are on our 3rd tonies box as previous 2 wouldn’t work after 2nd charge. Now the 3rd one has lasted longer but after a few months using it , this one too has stopped working ! Original charger is not fit for purpose either. The box is now Frozen on green light after attempting to charge. Very frustrating .
Great for bedtime
Great for bedtime, help my child get excited for bedtime and settling down. But also great for car rides!!
Schlechter gehts kaum
Frechheit!
my mum bites my toolbox my Mum break my tiny box
I love my 20 bucks my mum always feels it
Superb Product
Fantastic product. Clever tech. Great customer service. Kids at the front of all decisions.
Problems with installing
The my tonies installation process is not very user friendly, the app advises me I need to connect to the internet but then says cannot connect to internet with no suggestions on how to resolve the issue. I’ve rebooted and tried to reinstall. I don’t know whether it’s my device or iOS
Why are there no tonies in Spanish?
It’s the second most spoken language in the world. I’m sure there would be thousand of well prepared narrators anda huge market for it. Why are there no tonies in Spanish? I’m raising a bilingual kid and it would be so helpful!!
Tony boxes
Tony boxes are the best
Joke of the day is rubbish
So one day we bought joke of the day and it was good there were the old presenters and one day they changed it to the new presenters and then one year later they changed it back and then a couple of weeks later they changed it back to the old presenters it is so so rubbish
Tonibox
Ich hoffe die 2 funktioniert länger
Audio Inhalte laden
Sehr schade. Es könnte so gut und einfach funktionieren. WLAN ist einwandfrei daran liegt es nicht
Setting up the toniebox
It has taken an extremely long time to download a game. I’m still waiting after 30mins, the app is not as simple to use. It won’t show me the progress of download or if it’s still connected properly to internet. I also can’t locate how much charge it has. The initial set up kept telling me to turn the box off and start again.

Amazing ❤️❤️❤️
Give me a chance
Just loaded the app for the first time and it’s asking for a review. Not even 6 seconds in
Love the Tonie box but issues uploading creative stories
I have had so many issues trying to play a creative Tonie that my son got for Christmas. No matter what I do, I can’t get the new story to play. I think the app should be easier to control the device rather than having to sync it using the box
Wifi connection is rubbish
I’ve reconnected my box about 6 times to wifi but cannot download any of the free content. I give up!
Langues
Trop d histoires gratuites en allemand
Fantastic!
Absolutely amazing - my daughter adores her Tonie box!
Updating is draining
Extremely annoying to update a story read by you onto the box, it continually asks for you to press one ear for 3 seconds, and just keeps redoing & my child cannot listen to a story read by me!
Toni Box
Great way of telling a story, Easy setup, Great sound, Great Quality, Durable, Easy operated,
Man merkt
Glitches
Unfortunately I might be having bad luck with these tonies boxes. Sometimes the box doesn’t connect to wifi (despite other devices working fine with the wifi) so doesn’t always connect to the app. Sometimes the tonie plays one song then stops. Sometimes if you take off a tonie the rainbow light keeps going as if it’s playing but no sound comes out then the box doesn’t turn off and needs a reset. I had this issue with my first toniebox2, which was kindly replaced. But the replacement is doing some similar things intermittently. When it works though, it’s the absolute best. Hopefully more tonie options come out cause I’d love to see more.
Grandson
best toy i’ve ever bought i just wish we had it when my kids were small.
So now the Tonie box 1 are useless
So because they need antiquated 2.4ghz WiFi which no new hubs have the series 1 models are useless
Lucio
Ok
Unflexibel
Battery percentage
Massive downside to the app is it doesn’t show the battery percentage on the app, you have no way of knowing how much charge you have left on the box, could be something as simple as it updates on the app when connected to the charging dock or connected to its home wifi….
So far so good
Easy to set up and use. Step by step instructions.
Confusing App
The app is heavily focused on selling products rather than actually allowing you to control your box.
What a waste of money
