It’s good for what it is
Not gonna lie, it’s mostly for the people who have created a community there. But I love the people on the app, they have interesting talks and content, and I find myself on the app at least once a day to see what’s the topic(s) of the day.
Great app and needs all features back
When this app first started it was great and more features were being added and now the features have been slowly taken away over time. Please bring back all the features and costumes back to bring back the fun.

Only thing missing is more customizations for the avatars. The ability to lock rooms. More social media link options. Just needs a little more attention to this app!!! It has so much potential. All it needs is more people with more conversation. We need more options and more rooms.

Used to be great
App was amazing a while ago and now there is hardly anyone on it. I wish they had a chat option for the people that where listening and not on the panel. Having to record an audio message to comment something was always annoying.

There hasn’t been an update in months
Overall, I absolutely enjoy the app but there hasn’t been an update to the app itself in at least 3 to 4 months. Also when it comes to the responders when it is pertaining to messages, nobody is responding.
Amazon Goddess
This app has given me friends that I’ve created my own family that I’ve never had before. From all over the world. I’ll forever be grateful that I’ve met these people. The only thing i absolutely HATE, is that I was verified, and then all of a sudden they took it away, so I stoped coming on the app. I worked hard for Tha checkmark and for them to take it away I said ok never again.

Love the app
I love the app, but there are some issues. Small things like not being able to send people photos in the chats and not being able to change the icons to custom images any more. Otherwise it’s a great app for debate and conversation.
Missing Features?
Why do some people have features that I don't? I see people with cups in their avatar, some people with photos instead of avatars (I had my photo on there and then one day I came and it was gone).. And why are some of the zodiac signs headbands STILL missing from the accessories?! Like what the heck?
An Honest Opinion
I was introduced to stereo 4 years ago from a friend of mine because he and I were podcast partners and we needed a different platform to expand our audience. Within just a few months we were nominated for best NIGHT TIME show through the Stereo Golden Globe award show. We both became popular very quickly and also by visiting other creators shows and made some good friends along the way. But it wasn’t until some unlikely people started coming to the surface and meddling between partners and splitting people up. It didn’t just happen to us but a lot of other creators with checkmarks and people started to realize there were some extremely mentally unstable people that were effecting peoples lives in real life and it got dangerous not only for me personally but women with children were highly targeted. After a while nobody trusted anyone and no one knew what to believe anymore. Cancel culture kicked in and a lot of people had no one in their shows and minority groups were formed, those groups are still on the app and if you don’t get in “good” with them, you have no support system or friends that are welcome. It’s sad that even on social apps the racial division is very real. But whoever has a chance to read this review needs to know, stereo was a place full of talented broadcasters and because of so many changes that have happened over the coarse of 4 years, nothing is the same anymore. Those talented people that had widely supported and successful shows are no longer here and the genuine fun factor of stereo is gone forever. I wish that the developers would have continued to pay there top creators that were dedicated and consistent with their craft, but because of financial set backs it’s been harder to find other platforms that monetized us like we used to here on stereo. I loved this place it was full of fun people, interesting conversations and we would laugh and even cry for hours back when Covid hit. It helped pass the time. The one thing that I wish would change for stereo is to not target teenagers to use this app. Mixing 12+ with adults, just doesn’t seem to be a good idea.

I’ve been on this app since the pandemic it used to be weekly updates. We would have better clothing like we would update the clothing and the different heads but it’s starting to go downhill a little bit because of it’s just starting to get like bland because it’s pretty much no updates

Weird and terrible
How is your app gonna claim to be 12 and up but people need to age verify to make sure they’re not 13? Um last time I checked 12 and up meant anyone that is 12 and older can be on the app also why is an app that is supposed to be for 12 and up infested with grown adults I think that’s a little weird to have a bunch of adults on an app that’s meant for children

Love the app BUT we need a button to click that lets you see the message list. So you can see where you are on the list and how many are there. This would be a game changer!!!! As some talks have 100 messages but you wouldn’t know as a listener, if you were to know this you can choose if you want to send a note in.

No Accessibility
I am unable to retrieve my account. Stereo stole my intellectual property and denies me access with creating hostile entry mechanism that I can no longer use my email address. Stereo took away the ability to log in with your email address because I never had a phone number on the account.
How do you type or use filters?
People saying to type out comments for the voice filters but when i click the voice filter nothing happens. Even when i do my own voice with the filter applied still nothing?

Le redesign de la version 2.0 enlève complètement le côté unique de Stereo. À quoi sert de se coller sur d’autres applications comme Clubhouse, Twitter, Greenroom et autres. Le mode sombre est disparu et, selon moi, devrait se trouver partout dans l’application. Dommage.

Used to be good
I wish the devs didn’t randomly just pull the plug. There was great advertisement, and then a bunch of people came but when you slowly let go of the app, no new updates came after the creator fund + no new cosmetics on the holiday I feel like people slowly started to retract. Bring back whoever was on the old media team + go back to advertising on TikTok and the app won’t be dead anymore

Great app in general.
Frustrating to navigate
I downloaded the app to listen to past shows from specific people and I'm finding it really awkward and inefficient to navigate. This first thing might be a bit of a nit-pick but there's something really jarring about the white window popping up from the bottom any time you press a tab or honestly just most things in the app. It'd be nice to see that gone and instead have the tabs instantly lead to separate pages, the white windows also seem to give the illusion that things take longer to load due to its animation which adds to the inefficiency. The app as a whole just seems to miss things that would make it easier to use like a place to show everything, past and present, from people you follow- I assume the activity tab will show something when somebody next does a show but right now I have to search up the profiles of people I follow just to access their shows and it's a pain, the activity tab in general is very vague and unclear as to what its purpose is. The search tab is fine but at the same time it displays lots of information that feels like fluff almost, the topics are good but the upcoming shows and 'find your friends' banner feel like they don't need to be there and just make it more visually confusing personally (may be just another nit-pick). I just kinda wish there were more refined menus/pages instead of the current ones, for example having a real home page with clear and more tailored options such as showing a feed of every show those you follow have done up to now instead of just autoplaying random shows that you cannot pause, and then a separate page for the random shows as a sort of discover feature, basically my point is that it feels like it complicates the navigation to reach basic features or misses out on them in replacement for something like the leaderboard, which takes up a tab at the bottom yet there is no home tab? It's just frustrating to navigate, I really want to like the app.

And where there is good conversation, there are always good companions.” But if you arrive expecting the world to serve you amusement without offering presence, patience, or participation — you’ll come away disappointed, and convinced the app is flawed, when it’s simply reflecting your inner state. ⸻ 🎙️ Final Thoughts for my friend EMc4Life, People like Elizabeth aren’t amazing because of the app. They’re amazing because they bring the divine spark into the app. It’s a temple or a tavern — depending on how you treat it. Speak wisely. Listen earnestly. Play kindly. And if you must sing — sing your truth, even if it’s with your big toe pressing the record button.
Terrible
This is app is filled with childish adults. When stereo wanted to monetize their users they users just started acting ridiculous. If the conversation stays on the topic of religion, and relationships and music everything is fine if you go outside of that realm of thought I guess it’s a problem. The users are very weird always impersonating celebrities. They use to have a high stalker rate on the app. I remember being followed at a time from my location being tracked. At times you are forced to talk to certain people that continue to be trolls in the room. They don’t know how to have basic conversation or an expansive conversation.
Do NOT like the new update!
I do not understand the point of the new update on the 2/10/21 The app worked fine as it was. The moving avatars are pointless and now the friends activity function doesn’t work l so I can no longer see who is currently online, live or what show they might be listening to, all I get is a list of shows under the talks to join button. and I have to go into each one individually to see if anyone I know is on the panel or listening in. Please sort this out and bring back a fully functional friends activity feature! I’ve discussed this with a few people and they all agree. If it wasn’t for getting rid of this feature I’d have given the app 5 stars ***update*** app is working a lot better now and bugs have been sorted out so am very happy with how it works now :)
Poor moderation.
Stereo is essentially a cesspit where users are allowed to spew vitriol with no backlash. You can report them however in most cases nothing happens. There are repeated violators who just keep coming back onto the app to troll after small 24-72 hr bans and you have people who get banned forever for 1 violation that was not intended. The app says that it takes no responsibility for users conduct....noted, but they also say users will be dealt with if they violate, which never seems to happen. I gave it a two because it is a nice app if it wasn’t for their lack of care for non violating users and seemingly favouritism towards the trolls I would have gave it a higher score. There has already been a stereo suicide due to bullying on the app. Sort it out stereo!
Great app but few improvements needed
So I’d like to be able to pause the podcast if you’re playing it back after the live session. I also don’t like how it plays random shows automatically as soon as you open the app. Other than that I think it’s a great idea and I enjoy listening to my faves.

Needs improvement
A splendid platform that I’m already enjoying, but it lacks certain aspects. A playback screen for upcoming streams would be nice, as would a list of shows as opposed to just creators and hashtags. Organisation is a little messy and it’s not easy to navigate. Otherwise, pretty good.

This app houses dangerous individuals that act like regular folk in order to harass, spread dangerous ideas and steal information/data. User name nicothegeek pretends to be a chemical engineer, received a message with a link to a chemistry website and it turned out to be a phish attack. My phone and my data became compromised and stereo won’t do anything about it
Nearly golden
This app is fantastic for practicing podcasting but the lack of security for the changing of shows or other people conversations is a bit concerning . Maybe could have specific groups that you could join to allow for like wise podcasts and groups of friends to have a bit more security. In general I love this app for it giving a different kind of style to conversations and fun is great it just needs a bit more tweaking
Find app hard to use
I like that this helps podcaster do live Q&As, but the app could be nicer to use. It doesn’t remember your place if you stop playing and it’s hard to follow and find new episodes of the shows you care about. I also dislike that audio plays from a random show when you open the app- I find this jarring, especially since shows might have swearing. I wish I could listen to archived shows recorded in stereo in other apps.
Needs a 15s rewind button and a home page ...
This app Needs a home page for last played or recently played or resume last played. It Goes without saying really. I hope they bring this feature in soon. Also, Make it suitable for car mode like Spotify app. The car mode on that is perfect.
