What people like
- Very small and barely noticeable
- Works well for both heating and cooling
- Connects reliably via Bluetooth
- Feels solid and just works
What they complain about
- App crashes frequently on launch
- No Fahrenheit option for US users
- Battery drains phone too quickly
- Hard to switch between multiple devices
Awesome app
Awesome app, even better device. So glad it finally got F° What I like is how solid everything is and it just works.
Apple Watch
Gets it done
Does everything it needs to do. I couldn’t ask for more.
Bit weird
Works ok but after 5 mins it’s pretty ineffective
Needs Degrees Fahrenheit
They need to update this app with the ability to display temperature in degrees Fahrenheit. I’m not water, and as such the Celsius temperature scale lacks precision in the temperature ranges I’m concerned with.
Sony reon pocket pro
Absolute game changer. I have every neck fan and handheld portable fans. Reon is incredible no noise and it heats as well as cool. I have both the reon 6 and also the pocket pro please only purchase the pocket pro if you’re looking for cooling. The reon 6 is small and easier to control and if you’re just using the reon for heating go with the 6 but the reon pocket pro is worn daily for 6 hours.
Apps does mostly what it needs to
Overall the app does what is required. The only thing I wish it had the option to show temperature readings and settings in Fahrenheit, now that the Reon is officially sold in the US. Yes, the ROW uses a better solution Celsius, but that’s what we are stuck with here.

So glad to see it stateside
Works great, please add Fahrenheit for us yanks! 🙏
Removed functionality and planned obsolesce
Previous functionality of user set and pre defined profiles and programs have suddenly gone missing. This makes the Repn product line less usable, increasing battery use and strain leading to faster degradation and very obviously planned obsolesce
Great device, great app, but please add Fahrenheit measurements!
App works flawlessly, no issues with it running in the background or anything around bluetooth connectivity. Just please please please add Fahrenheit measurements for temperature

Fahrenheit
You might want to consider adding the option to switch the temperature reading in the app to Fahrenheit now that you’re bringing the devices to the United States. You know, F = 1.8 C + 32 and all that.
Seamless functionality but missing Fahrenheit option
The smart options are quite amazing. Registering the device was super easy but the only major drawback that costed a star was the fact they don’t have an option to switch the degrees to Fahrenheit. I would’ve assumed because the app makes you select the region of the world you’re in, it would know that the United States uses Fahrenheit for degrees instead of Celsius. That is not the case sadly. Developers - please add the option for Fahrenheit to the app as soon as possible.
Pls add multi device support
Device itself is great, however, wish the app could support multiple devices rather than having to unregister and register each time.
App
Sony REON Pocket Pro Plus
The app is simple and straightforward for my Sony REON Pocket Pro Plus. However, I do not see any option to change from Celsius to Fahrenheit. If Sony can update the app it will be 5 stars easy.
Cooling
Concept is good but more improvement is needed. If there was a downward flow of cool air. That would be good.
Gimmick
This device is such a disappointment. In my opinion, it is more of a gimmick rather than an actual tool. Suffice to say, it doesn’t work well in a tropical country.
Superb kit
Ron is very small barely noticeable when worn Does a great job keeping you cool or warm Battery lasts a decent amount of time but maybe half a day when cooling I love it!!
Fan not working in cooling mode
Why I can’t use fan with cool mode ?
App review
The app is not the most user friendly but it does the job. Had an app notification in Japanese. Expect a bit better from a company like Sony. 3.5 out of 5.
