What people like
- Essential for Colorado winter driving
- Better than the official website
- Developer responds quickly to emails
- Packed with useful road details
What they complain about
- Ads interrupt you constantly
- Forces subscription to see webcams
- Complicated and hard to use
- Road data sometimes inaccurate
State roads
Site is critical to smaller State rhoades. I particularly am always concerned about 125 because of its rough condition between Granby and Walden. This side is my go to for keeping an eye on conditions
Advertising pop-unders make app unusable
Something changed because the app never used to have these ads that open browsers in the background. Will not use anything from this developer again
Not as user friendly as 511
I prefer the 511 format and legend, but helpful in planning my trip
Paywalls Got Harsh
I have used this app for years and have gotten in touch with the developer to let him know when cameras are down. It's a good app but only if you pay the money now. Its hard to justify the monthly fee to see the webcams as much as I love them.
Missing information
I just drove to Boulder from Winter Park and Berthoud Pass (40) was icy and Hwy 90 between Golden and Boulder was insanely windy and almost blew my Suburban off the road. Yet your map shows neither highway in those areas as having dangerous conditions.
Great App
Great app for checking road condition and traffic on the highways. There is about a 3-4 minute lag-time from actual time to seeing on the screen but other than that, great app!
Does not include fires
Wondering why CDOT has chosen to leave fire conditions off this app? Some road closures but nothing about evacuation areas or damaged roads.
Specifically local areas
Great app would like to narrow search areas
Ads ruin the app
As others have said, a recent update forced ads when viewing the cameras. Tbh I thought this was a government run app until now. Thinking of removing it. The ads are videos and lengthy when I just want a quick glimpse of the live roads. Big L from the Devs and passing it on to the consumers.
Tanker Driver
Little difficult to see a broad area of intended travel. Each touch only highlights a section & so on.
Mountain
So far good
what sucks?
colorado
Not worth $2.99, free apps work better.
Was hoping to actually use the camera views but every one I try to view says “not available”, while the free apps show the camera views with no problem.
Not always up to date
Conditions and accidents aren’t always current
Best in class app
Worth the 299 pennies. Saves me time and aggravation in the winter. Could not live without.
Thumbs down
Absolutely worthless unless you want to pay for every little thing they think they can charge you for
Great app even if I have to pay
Just downloaded this app today. So far I will give it 5 stars. Works great. Emailed tue developer and he responded quickly. If your other alert app is no longer sending you texts, I highly suggest this one
Definitely unclear and subscriptions don’t help.
This app is difficult
It’s perfect!
Straight to the point and very informative.
Sandra
This App sucks! The older one was better, easier to use. Today trying to look at cameras but first have to go thru a million screens and when am FINALLY able to go to cameras oh….wait! Now I have to set up widgets??? Too much gobble-dee-goop and not enough easy access to the important info. Back to the drawing board please
Incredible App
This app does everything that CDOT’s COTRIP site does but 10x better and is so much easier to use. Plus it provides way more information as to the road conditions than any other app or site I’ve tried.
Very awkward to use
It kept trying to force me to create a collection of Webcams and I don’t want that. Also, you have to decide what direction camera you want to view and it won’t just scroll through the cameras. After you make a selection and view the scene it doesn’t return to the same camera direction screen, it returns to collections.
Great app
Very impressed with everything about it. I downloaded it, messed around for 10 minutes and realized this was everything (almost) I’ve wanted for braving I70 traffic. Subscribed right then and there, worth every penny. Please please get this on Car Play! Another huge wish I’ve always wanted to see someone make is a frontage road vs stay on I70 advisor based on travel times. That would be so useful!
Unusable with ads
The app is unusable with ads. I acquired the app before ads were introduced and now that they have ads, it’s basically unusable.
Chisanga Chabala
As a novice commercial truck driver, I found the app to be very responsive quickly and most of all filled with essential details applicable to any road I was considering driving during a anticipated heavy snow three day period. I find this app to be the standard for others.
Simple Geography
This App is terrible. It can’t even get the correct name for the Gulf of Mexico!
A must have for residents and travelers in Colorado!
I don’t usually review apps, but I felt this one definitely needed it. I’ve been using it for a few days now, including for the last cold snap/snow storm. It is fantastic! Full of great info, intuitively customizable, and if you decide to do the subscription it’s very reasonably priced. If you travel on CO roads, this is an absolute must have!
Frustrated
This app is complicated to use then thy want you to buy a service which is not needed, I’m a truck driver an your app is so NOT user friendly want some advise on a good way the 511 app should work talk to Wyoming there’s is easy an concise to navigate thru
