Nice UI interface
After my issue was fixed, the app is really nice actually. Navigation was easy, the map was easily loaded. Looks and feel of the apps are well done. Get the UI/UX designer a salary In raise!
Gute Rabatte, aber fragwürdige Kündigungsbedingungen
Der dreimonatige Probezeitraum ist eigentlich sehr fair. Problematisch finde ich aber, dass bei einer vorzeitigen Kündigung der Zugang sofort endet. Wer verhindern möchte, dass sich das Abo automatisch verlängert, muss deshalb bis kurz vor Ablauf warten. So kann man leicht vergessen zu kündigen und landet am Ende im Jahresabo oder in einem teuren Monatsabo. Das wirkt auf mich unseriös und kostet zwei Sterne. Den Jahrespreis finde ich ansonsten in Ordnung, wenn man die App regelmäßig nutzt. Ich habe sie während einer Woche in Berlin getestet und dort gute Rabatte bekommen. Leider werden in der App auch Angebote angezeigt, die bereits ausgebucht sind. Man klickt sich erst durch und ist dann enttäuscht, wenn man das Angebot nicht mehr nutzen kann. Für alle, die ein paarmal im Monat Take-away bestellen, kann sich die App meiner Meinung nach lohnen. Ohne die Kündigungsregel hätte ich vier von fünf Sternen gegeben. So sind es für mich zwei von fünf. Und die anderen Bewertungen zeigen es leider auch…
Gute Idee und schöne App – beim Konzept und Abo gibt es aber deutliche Schwächen
Die App ist übersichtlich und gut aufgebaut, allerdings sind die Deals oft nicht spontan nutzbar. Viele Restaurants haben nur ein begrenztes Tageskontingent oder sind bereits Tage im Voraus ausgebucht. Auch das Abo-System finde ich unflexibel: Kündigt man, endet das Abo sofort, statt zum Ende des bereits bezahlten Zeitraums. Verpasst man den Kündigungstag, verlängert sich das Abo direkt – das wirkt leider wie eine Abo-Falle. Grundsätzlich eine gute Idee, aber bei Verfügbarkeit und Abo-Modell besteht deutlicher Verbesserungsbedarf.

Do not use trial subscription. Beware scam.
I used the trial subscription to check out the app. Once I realised the app was pretty useless I deleted it and forgot to cancel my subscription. Today I was charged for the trial subscription ending, and the second I was charged I emailed the customer support to ask to cancel my account and refund the trial subscription which they charged for 1 year. They told me that it was non refundable. I am now taking it with my bank and will also warn others on Trust-pilot about their services as I did not want their service at all and they still won’t let me get a refund despite making a mistake when subscribing. I don’t recommend using this app at all.

Habe ein Test Abo abgeschlossen und die Kündigung ging aus technischen Gründen nicht durch und mir wurde dann ein komplettes Jahr berechnet obwohl ich es nicht wollte. Auf meine Anfrage wegen der Rückerstattung wurde es abgelehnt. Dort wo ich wohne lohnt sich das alles nicht. Danke NeoTaste.
Lohnt sich leider nicht mehr
Als vor 2 Jahren mein Abo abgeschlossen habe, gab es in Köln so viele Möglichkeiten und ich habs geliebt, mittlerweile sind so viele Restaurants nicht mehr dabei und die Konditionen für die bestehenden Restaurants haben sich stark verändert - einige Deals lassen sich nur noch 2x im Jahr buchen, statt wie vorher alle paar Wochen. Lohnt sich einfach nicht mehr :(

Feels like a scam
I would strongly caution anyone considering the free trial. I signed up for the trial and never used the service even once. The subscription then automatically converted into a paid subscription and I was charged. I contacted NeoTaste immediately after noticing the charge and requested a refund, but they refused. Their explanation is that the 14-day refund/withdrawal period starts from the beginning of the free trial, meaning that by the time you discover the paid renewal, they may simply tell you that you are already outside their refund period. I have literally never redeemed or used a single NeoTaste benefit, yet they still refuse to reverse the charge. This feels deliberately designed to catch people through automatic renewal rather than retain customers who actually want the service. Be extremely careful before signing up for the “free” trial and make sure you cancel well in advance. Very disappointing experience.

Schlecht für Gruppen
Wenn man öfter mit Freunden essen geht, die die App auch haben, zahlt es sich leider nicht so aus. Bsp.: 2 Paare, die dementsprechend 4 Pizzen bestellen und jedes der Paare bezahlt seine eigene App, bekommen bei einer „2für1 Pizza Aktion“ leider von 4 Pizzen nur eine gratis, da sie als Gruppe zählen und pro Gruppe nur 1 Angebot eingelöst werden kann. Schade, weil ich mich dann oft frage, wieso ich meine App zahle, wo ich die Vorteile dann eh nicht einlösen kann, nur, weil sie an dem Tag zb meine Freundin einlöst, die aber genauso IHRE EIGENE App zahlt! Heißt, wir zahlen beide das Abo, nur eine kriegt aber den Rabatt, nur, weil wir am selben Tische sitzen?! Sinnlos…

Unexpected Annual Fee Charged! Beware of Free trial
I signed up for the free trial only and didn’t even use it. I was only considering continuing with the £2.99 monthly subscription if I found the app useful. I never agreed to an annual subscription. Despite this, NeoTaste charged me £35.88 for a full year without sending any reminder or warning. I contacted Customer Service within one day, but they were completely unhelpful and refused to refund the charge. I did not agree to an annual subscription, yet they took the money and refused to help. Completely unacceptable. Please think twice before entering your card details with this app.
Slow to remove places
I’ve gone to quite a few places recently only to find that they’ve cancelled NeoTaste. If businesses in the map have cancelled you are wasting my time to make the map look full. Pls sort it out!
Gute App, aber zu teuer
Sehr nützliche App, aber leider würde ich niemals 50€ pro Jahr dafür bezahlen, Maximum 35€. Außerdem ist man auf eine begrenzte Auswahl an Restaurants und Orten beschränkt.

SCAM
Absolute scam, they promise to send an email before your trial is up so you can cancel and they did not do so. I am now left with an app I have paid for that is completely useless as the deals are genuinely awful. The customer service is condescending.
Good deals but app needs work
I love the principle of this app and there are some good offers. The app is just really glitchy to use, especially in map mode, which is frustrating when you’re different areas and want to see what’s available locally. It seems to jump automatically to a particular restaurant or area and then remains stuck there. Also there was no reminder or heads up about charging for the app for a year after a trial period, that’s not great service.

SCAM / FRAUDULENT BUSINESS MODEL
DO NOT USE THIS APP. I strongly recommend staying away from NeoTaste. The free trial automatically turned into a paid subscription and I was charged today. I immediately contacted customer support to cancel and requested a refund, but they refused to return my money despite me not using the paid subscription. What is most concerning is that they knowingly keep the payment and refuse to refund it even when the customer contacts them immediately after being charged. Their response is simply that I should have cancelled earlier. This is an extremely deceptive and exploitative subscription model. It is deliberately designed to catch customers with automatic renewal and then keep their money when they ask for a refund. This is a scam and fraudulent business practice. I would NOT recommend this app to anyone. Stay away.

Very laggy app. Subscriptions are not loading on my account. On my partner’s, impossible to cancel your subscription unless you reach out via email.

Unfair charges
I tried to resolve this with the provider and raised a dispute about the charges within 48 hours of the fee deduction and explained i have not even logged in during my trial or do not intend to use the service also proved never received there reminder email spam, junk, inbox, deleted and all lf thay not showed in the app store and denied to refund just saying its terms we cant! What does that mean taking control out your customer I am so annoyed and frustrated never had issues in the past with any other retailer, really un reasonsable
Öffnungszeiten fail!
Unfassbar nervig, dass die Öffnungszeiten nicht korrekt sind. Wenn man nach einem restaurant sucht und es angezeigt wird und hinfährt um dann festzustellen, dass es geschlossen ist.. Zeitverschwendung! Wsrum werden einem Restaurants gezeigt, die in dem Moment geschlossen haben?!
Great food App!
Great app and simple to use! I use it all the time in Manchester especially for the crazy £1 drops they do on food! I’ve also used this in London and a few times in Europe, always works perfectly, couldn’t recommend it enough to everyone.

i cancelled my free trial, and they still tried to take money out of my account. didn't even use the app. good job i'm poor, and my bank account is empty. jokes on them.

Ein nerviger Bug ist in der App. Wählt man ein Restaurant aus (Wien) öffnet sich kurz ein Info Fenster und danach verschwinden alle Restaurants auf der Karte.. ist so nicht nutzbar!

App stürzt ab
An sich ja eine tolle Idee für auswärts essen Geld zu sparen. Aber wenn ich mir ein Restaurant aussuchte, drauf tippte, um zu buchen, stürzt die App ständig ab. Ich muss dann wieder einsteigen wieder die Stadt eingeben und erneut das Lokal suchen dann noch mal versuchen. Nach dem dritten Versuch hat es dann endlich funktioniert aber während dem Buchvorgang hat es wieder Probleme gegeben. Die App gehört einfach noch mal neu überarbeitet. Grundsätzlich eine gute Idee aber für die Praxis noch nicht brauchbar. .
