I love the repetition of taking the test to study. It helped me pass my board.
Absolute GEM for physics registry and cardiac sonography exam BUT…
Will charge you again without giving clear explanation on how to cancel it. Link.com (apparently the website that charged me the first time) without warning just took my money from card for a recurring subscription. When I had tried to manage my subscription in prepry, it just says “institutional subscription”. What does that mean and how am I supposed to cancel it? I would monitor your subscription closely and don’t just assume you aren’t paying for next year just because there’s no payment option showing in the billing’s page. Horrible web interface and deceitful
Good app, too expensive
It is a great app. Very informative and a great study tool however the premium is prohibitively expensive! These are designed for students and many of us are struggling financially. Passing these tests can be a path to a new and better career but in the meantime not everyone can afford the upgrade. I’d love to continue using this app but unfortunately it just costs too much.
Needs work
1. Some questions/answers are conflicting and even some things that are not found in the Edelman book. 2. There is no way to filter your questions to the “remaining questions”. I would constantly get some of the same questions which is annoying. Also there are repeat questions of the SAME question/answer. Some of the questions under “remaining questions” are questions I’ve been asked, multiple times. 3. Explanation option is sometimes not specific enough to the question at hand.
My go-to study tool while in my CVS program
Update #2: unfortunately I’ve had this problem since I started using the app: if I change the course focus to anything besides Physics, it will always revert back to Physics after I close the app and reopen. I’ve passed the SPI so now I’m focusing on CCI and ARDMS and every time I open the app, it defaults to Physics instead of keeping it on the last used course (CCI or ARDMS in my case). It’s a slight annoyance but it would be nice to have it fixed. Updated #1: they fixed the formatting on iPhone mini 13, and they did so very quickly! Thank you Prepry team :) This is my go to study tool while in my Cardiac Sonography program. I’m using it for the SPI and the ARDMS. I have no doubt I’ll pass em because of this app.
Prepry
I’ve use prepry for two regristries so far and have passed . I use it when I’m on the go with family and friends and when I’m laying at home needing to study. I take mock exams and daily quizzes on it . Thank you guys so much for this resources. I also use this to pass my SPI as well
Variety
PREPRY is good for question variety and exposure to mixed topics, and it does a solid job simulating the randomness of board-style questioning. However, it frequently introduces rare terms, obscure eponyms, and diseases that many students have never encountered in primary study materials. If you are using it strictly for exposure and test-style practice, it can be helpful. If you are trying to actively learn and build familiarity organ by organ, it is frustrating. The platform does not allow you to isolate specific organs or systems for focused study, which makes it difficult to reinforce new vocabulary and concepts in a structured way. For students still consolidating content, the fully mixed format can feel overwhelming rather than educational. It would be significantly improved by offering an option to study by organ system in addition to full exam simulation mode.
Prepry
The practice questions on Prepry, along with explanations and performance tracking, were very helpful in reviewing important topics and identifying areas where I needed improvement. These tools will help me build confidence and be more prepared for the board exam. Although it would be useful to be able to easily change what level I’m on because I am a first year but am getting 2nd year questions
Does not prepare you for SPI
I took the SPI and passed on the first try, but I can't credit this app. The SPI is NOTHING like Prepry's questions. The SPI questions are much, much more difficult so I do not recommend this app. I wish I did not spend money on this. Use the green book and ultrasound board review on YouTube (specifically for Doppler)
Adult Echocardiography Portion
Ok- so the Physics is great. I have been using that so I got excited when the adult echo portion came out. I just took a mock exam and stopped halfway through at question 70 because most of the apical 4 chamber view labeling is COMPLETELY off. I couldn’t take it anymore. I think I sent three or four emails during the test trying to correct the labeling. I gave up. Dear creator- if you could fix this it would be greatly appreciated. Makes me wonder if all the other answers are correct? 😬

DO NOT USE THIS FOR THE SPI
I am currently studying for the SPI, which I take in three days. I chose PREPPRY based on strong recommendations from multiple peers, specifically because I wanted a platform that would track my performance, identify weak areas, and give me meaningful statistics on questions I get right and wrong. Unfortunately, my experience has been nothing but frustrating. Each time I take a practice exam, the system glitches and fails to record my progress correctly. When I log back in, it consistently shows zero progress, claims I have studied for only one day, and reports that I have learned zero questions, with 1,150 new questions remaining. This is completely inaccurate. I have had this service for about a month and have taken at least 15 practice exams, working through approximately 800 questions. On top of the tracking issues, I have identified serious content errors, I have had to email PREPPRY about nearly 10 questions in which the marked “correct” answer was wrong—or where no correct answer existed at all. For a service designed to prepare students for a high-stakes exam, this is COMPLETELY unacceptable. This exam is important, stressful, and expensive. Students rely on review platforms like this for accuracy and reliability. The combination of persistent technical failures and incorrect questions makes this service unreliable and, frankly, disappointing. If negative ratings were possible, that is what I would give.
I passed the SPI
I got the app and paid for a month. Used it mainly because it was convenient. I used this and the green book for real studying. This app has good straight forward questions like some versions of the SPI. But I would mainly recommend this for the Doppler images.
Beware of incorrect answers
I have been using this app for 2 months for the physics portion and have realized the answers to some of the questions are incorrect. Please be aware and use other reliable sources for more accuracy.
PASSED THE SPI FIRST TRY !!
I only did about 2 weeks of concentrated studying using the video review, study blocks, and taking a couple of mock exams. The way the questions are worded on Prepry are very similar to the SPI question. Good luck to everyone!!

I’m not happy that Prepry for iPad doesn’t support split screen
Perfect for Spi
Passed my board on my first time. This app prolly had 75 percent of what I needed for the test. The rest is studied from other books and notes. If you can MASTER the spi part on the app you’ll get a barely passing grade.
It’s not really worth it
Just stick to the Edelman textbook. There are also great SPI exam prep questions for free on Quizlet and Brainscapes. I found them to be more comparable to the actual test questions. Another major thing for me was, a lot of the “explanations” for answers were not real explanations. It seemed like a lot of the questions/answers/explanations were copy and pasted from somewhere and no one bothered to check them. I ended up having to google a lot of the answers to understand and not just memorize. That is where I came across the Quizlet sets and Brainscape sets that were much more detailed and helpful. I got a 655/700 on my SPI exam. I would say that the Edelman book, Brainscapes and Quizlet were all I needed to pass my SPI exam.
I passed the SPI!!!
Having this app on my phone with a single click was really useful. The option of 10 short questions helped me pay attention to the topics every time I had the chance, the introduction of the videos is really amazing, since I can play them while driving and use them as a podcast about ultrasound. Soon I will present the ARRT and I am using its features to prepare myself and get the best result. Thank you Prepy for having all the resources designed for the students.
Waist of time and money
I didn’t pass my Spi, none of the questions were similar even the pictures, not helpful at all, I would just stick with the green book. Very disappointed.
Great but ..
Great app but the questions are not as hard as the spi. I notice the new update, I really like it. Can we get questions that mock the actual spi test please. Thank you. Overall great app to prep you testing wise for the test.
Passed SPI with Prepry
This app serious helped tremendously with passing the SPI. This was my #1 study tool and passed with a high 600s on first try.
Not working
The SPI Video Course is not working. Is says error while playing video. I emailed but still haven’t received a response.
Update failed
Something went wrong with the update. Instead of OB/GYN in the Quiz Builder, it shows SPI questions. Retrieving Cram content from scrolling is not possible, and there are many other interface errors. I prepared well for the SPI exam, but I used Prepry as a supplement to Penny and Edelman. The questions do not match those on the exam. If used for checking knowledge as part of preparation, Prepry is suitable, provided the developer fixes the bugs, of course.

Do not waste money
when I tried to pass the mock exam, the answers showed big bugs. The percentages are shown incorrectly. Because some correct answers in the application are marked as incorrect. That is, your answer is correct, but the application writes that it is incorrect, and the correct answer is the same as the incorrect one. How can you prepare for the exam? I took two paid subscriptions for two months, and all my mock exams showed me the wrong result. I am writing to say that I want my money back. I sent them a screenshot with all the bugs, I sent them twice. But there is no result. No refund, no solution to the problem. I'm still waiting for a refund. I don't know how to add a screenshot here. But I have a proof.
It’s ok
It helps with some question on the test but not enough ultrasound picture questions which is I think prepares u for the test more. Preparing for the spi it helped a lot just not the other exams.
Great exam prep
If you read the questions to understand not to memorize you will pass any exam. The videos and quizzes are really that good
Incorrect answers.
I have repetitively reported them & they’re still not fixed. I included my email so they can get back to me but never did… I.E. “Which chamber of the heart is closest to the descending aorta? A. Left atrium B. Left ventricle C. Right atrium D. Left atrium. “ Of course it’s either A or D… but the app only considers one of them correct… this is not the only question like this…
Loveeee
This app is such a great resource in preparing for the SPI. Mock exams are very similar to the actual SPI. I like how accessible it is for the amount of time you have to study. I passed on the first try using this as a main study tool.
Failed
The questions are nothing similar to the actual SPI. Prepry questions are too easy compared to SPI where it is just worded differently and more complicated. The image pictures on Prepry is nothing like the ones in the SPI. Save your time and money and just read the Edelman book and watch YouTube Videos.
Best resource ever
Hey, I really enjoy studying on this app it helped me pass SPI, abdomen and VT. I am now studying OB/GYN and I wish you hadn’t changed it. I liked when I was able to show explanation before answering the question. Please bring this feature back I really need it for studying OB. Thank you!
