Simplicty
The app is easy to navigate, a couple tips during setup to make links and such more custom and clean could be noted. Aside from that it’s a 5/5 so far.
Cannot delete comments
I have a stalker who found my BMAC. He donated, I refunded and blocked him stating the reason is “repeated unwanted contact.” When I tried to delete his absurd, creepy, manipulative comment (sharing personal information and his drama) I realized that I could not. I can “delete” (see: hide) the comment itself but the fact that he donated is still there even though I refunded his donation immediately. I contacted BMAC and explained the situation, even that, after 10 months of this nonsense, I’m about to file a police report in preparation for a restraining order. They refused to help me, stating I could just hide it (even though I can’t completely hide it). Why is this even a problem? Why can’t I do something basic like delete a comment? Is a stalker running your company? Upon looking into BMAC more, it looks like they have a lot of absurd problems that they simply refuse to fix. It’s sad, I really liked this site.. but Ko-Fi and Patreon don’t allow me to be harassed. Choices choices. I think you all know what I’m gonna do. This shouldn’t even be a problem and when I contact you and tell I’M BEING STALKED you should immediately take action in my favor.😒

Buyers Paid, But I Can’t Access Their Shipping Details
I really appreciate the purpose behind Buy Me a Coffee. it’s a thoughtful platform for supporting artists and creators, and that’s exactly why I chose to use it. However, I’m currently facing a critical issue as a seller. I’m unable to access buyer details such as shipping addresses after a purchase has been made. This makes it impossible to fulfill an order, even though the buyer has already paid. As a first-time user, this has been stressful and confusing to navigate. When it comes to selling physical work, access to customer information is essential, and it’s unclear how to retrieve it within the platform. I strongly feel the platform needs clearer steps and more intuitive tools for managing purchases and customer details, especially for creators who are just starting out. I still respect what Buy Me a Coffee stands for, but issues like this directly impact trust between creators and buyers, and need to be addressed.
Audio Player Needs Work
I am really enjoying using this app as a coffee buyer. However, the audio player could use some work. The app times out without it being closed and does not save where I’m at in an episode. It also doesn’t display the time correctly for the audio. I use this app to avoid ads and such where the creators post elsewhere, but the audio player is making it hard to stick to that.
Simple, Clean, and Easy to Use
I really like Buy Me a Coffee so far. The app is clean, simple, and easy to navigate. Setting up my creator profile was straightforward, and I like that everything is laid out in a way that makes sense without being confusing. I’m just getting started as a content creator, and this feels like a great place to share what I’m creating and connect with people who want to support my journey. ☕️
Not working
I’ve had several people contact me and tell me that they couldn’t donate even though they tried I highly suggest trying to donate to yourself and see if it works

It’s great for keeping up with updates and making posts here and there. It would be nice if you could create your membership tiers through the app and not have to use the web version.
Follower
I am a follower of artists on here and lately it says I have nothing in my feed. They’re wrong, I know I do. I can get to it if I log in in a browser, but the app won’t work. I’ve updated it, deleted it, restarted it, nothing works

As a creator it feels like there’s a bit of restriction using the app compared to the desktop version.

Avoid Buy Me a Coffee!!! Charged me after I deleted my account!
I have been going back and forth with these guys for 3 days. Months ago, I had signed up for a subscription to support a creator for €20. I thought deleting my account and my credit card, that would be enough to end my subscription. Oh no, I still was charged $27.98 (current exchange rate for €20). They can’t find my account. They can’t find the creator. They have asked me for the email that I signed up for the subscription at least 3 times. I should have read the reviews for this app before I got started. It seems that my experience is not unique. Creators and subscribers have clearly had issues with this app and company. Buyer beware!!!! There are probably better ways to support your favorite creators. Avoid Buy Me A Coffee!!!
Apple Pay option
I’ve been using this app in order to donate to creators! Although even when I try to make an account, it asks me for my bank info, and all I want is to use Apple Pay so that it can be easier to transfer my outcome

Trouble with bank account setup
Can’t set up Stipe. I replied to one of Buy Me’s emails. They didn’t respond. Worst of all, no way of linking bank account directly. Have to go through a third party. I don’t fee comfortable doing this. Should have option for both ways to link to account.
Convenient but basic
I just discovered this app from a YT creator that got demonetized. As a supporter, I have some wishes for the app: *sort creator content by date (so I can start at the beginning) *read/listened/watched indicator (so I know where I left off) Otherwise, I’m happy to have found this app.

Great app idea, but things don’t always work.
While I love having the app, so people can buy me a coffee, it is a bit frustrating that I am not always able to post a video, either straight from the camera or grab a pre-recorded video. This basic functionality should really be resolved fully.

After only two weeks on Buy Me a Coffee, I’ve had $200 in donations. And two subscribers. One for five dollars a month and one for $50 a month. This came right in the nick of time. Sometimes the website is a little glitchy And difficult to figure out the problems. The payout section when I login on the app is never visible to get there. That is why I didn’t give it five stars. I’ll give it a month and if the performance improves, it will be it definitely five stars

charges your card without authorization.
I signed up for 3 months of donations. and its auto renewed my membership after the 3 months. charged me anyway. im looking all over the aight and it doesnt even show that im following anyone anymore. Why am i being charged for donations to an account when im not even subscribed to them anymore? its very low budget. I dont even see myself credit card info stores anywhere so I can delete it. My account shows literally zero information or notifications on this last donation that was made. Not even a transaction receipt. just the email telling me it happened.

I LOVE the buy me a coffee system and it’s perfect for my business but would really love if you could edit and add shop items from the app! Would be so much easier when working away from home with no laptop!

Don’t waste your time this site is very dated, payout takes forever 7 - 14 days also your account may be suspended and all payouts refunded out of nowhere. There’s much better apps like Ko-fi

Spent Hours on a New Piece and Lost It Due to App Glitch

I prefer BMAC desktop app
I’d give this app 5 stars if they update the typing in the mobile version. For example there’s no automatic uppercase letters when you start a new sentence. I’d rather use the desktop version. But overall I think giving and receiving micropayments is a great service.
Lacks functionality

Needs Work
This app is very basic and needs more functionality to work well! For instance, I wanted to add another creator to my account, and should have being able to just push a button on my account page to add the creator and the amount. Instead I had to search for the creator on a separate page, and give them my email again as if I was creating another account. It was also very difficult to change the amount of my contribution.

New account
Can’t even make a new account. Tried to sign up through twitter and nothing, tried to sign up through email, got to the code part and would not accept the code it sent me, I wonder where the creators of this app are based out of
A great application with a couple things missing and would like to see.
Out the gate I would like to say that this is a thought out app, i really do like it. The UI is easy to understand and self explanatory. There are some scrolling issues when creating a post and you may want to hit the bold icon and its stuck behind the back arrow, unless you scroll all the way back to the top of what you wrote. That said its really little things. My issue is that there is no iPad version of this app. That should be a thing. Especially if you are like myself and am creating on the road and use the iPad ninety-eight percent of the time. I am an artist after all who posts when i can but rarely from the phone. Is there follower app that can see the posts or is it just through email? These things shouldn’t affect your use of the app though. It’s very good. Just my personal thoughts.
Replying is a nightmare
Replying to supporters is paramount, if you want to earn a commission make yourself worthy. If this is not sorted I will switch to Patron. When trying to reply on my I phone the letters and words bounce all over. Sort it or I bounce to another competitor.
Nice but needs improvement
As a content creator I use buymeacoffee as another option to monetise content. I wish they would allow some more complex editing feature that would make even a simple text more attractive. Some caps letters to start a new post or the ability to add captions to photos. Even simple things like justified alignment are not possible. Another big improvement badly needed is some metrics so that author are able to see the impact of what they are sharing. Otherwise, prompt payments are a plus and money is quite quickly deposited once you decide to access it.
