Crashes all the time
I like some features of this app, including the ability to film two separate videos at the same time from the two cameras, not picturing picture, but do you completely different videos that you could edit into picture and picture if you want. Unfortunately if you don’t go through the perfect sequence of events to set it up with the proper angle view and the proper formatting, and then the proper resolution inevitably it crashes mid filming and you lose everything. Very frustrating.
Full screen??
Can we PLEASE have a full screen usability for the app? All most every iPhone 15 and Up up iPhone 17 - 17 Pro Max screen size is really poor by not having the ability to use the entire screen. This seems to be built for the iPhone mini screen size. 😬🤦🏻♀️😔 Not able to use the full screen of the iPhone 17 Air screen size.
A vlogging MUST have!
Theres times when you say "Ah! I left my GoPro elsewhere" .. don't worry, whip yor iPhone out and slap doubletake on! .. absolutely brilliant bit of kit, I wouldn't be without it!.. Also, if you're thinking about starting a YoTube (or other) channel up but don't have GoPros etc, or maybe just want to see what it's like, then I would very much say this is deffinately the app you need!!
Doesn’t work
Didn’t get past the main double take logo on iPhone 16 pro. Could have been fantastic for the baby at the San Diego Zoo…
Like a lot! Sync is off
Overall, I really like this. It’s versatile and the quality is really good. Unfortunately the audio sync is consistently off. I spend a lot of time in post resyncing, and that’s becoming very annoying.
Need ProRated Refund
After IOS 26 updates no longer opens deleted And re added no longer open I paid for a year. And barely got 6 months use
Needs more camera options
This app would be fantastic if it worked with the latest iPhones and iOS. For example the front facing camera has a couple new options including center stage. My hope was that I could record landscape and portrait at the same time, enabling me to produce both orientations with one shot. No dice with the app as-is.

Appears to work fine on my iPhone 12 mini and does exactly what it says on the tin!

They lock you into a weekly subscription model and refuse to refund even if the app is not working for you
PIP discreet mode
I’ve been using this app for a couple of years now, and the update removed a feature where you can just swipe the PIP in and out the screen when you need it. It gives you the option to focus on the primary camera when needed. Can you bring that back please? Thanks and God bless.
No longer opens
Using a 13pro max with latest iOS 26.3.1 and I cannot get this to open. Any ideas? I liked the app when I could use it. Thank you.
Great App, But v3.1.2 Is Incredibly Buggy
DoubleTake has always been a fantastic tool for multicam video recording — intuitive, powerful, and generally reliable. It does exactly what it promises, and when it works, it’s an invaluable asset for capturing high-quality footage. Unfortunately, version 3.1.2 has been extremely buggy on my iPhone 13 Pro Max running iOS 18.4. The app crashes frequently without warning. More frustratingly, there have been multiple occasions where I recorded a video only to find that the file was never saved — completely missing the moment I was trying to capture. I genuinely hope these issues are addressed in an upcoming update, as the app has great potential when stable. ⸻ Let me know if you’d like a shorter or more casual version as well.

iOS 26 issues
No longer will save an a and b file since iOS 26. Makes the primary purpose for this app in operative. You can do picture and picture but you can’t do. Two Video files. Used to be a five star in my mind now it’s a one.
Nice update!
It would be better than nothing I think is a great too take time record to create some scenarios but please on your next update try and to add the zoom it and out I think is a great tool to record videos for long distances.
It used to be great
The video is still great. But the audio is not good. The volume is so low it makes the product useless. It’s was awesome until this happened.

Not working in split screen mode in 4k 24-30-or 60 and 25 records lense cam video and the audio but face camera video is a glitch wall no actual video at all just a glitch smear… Hire me I can fix your issues and you’ll have the most perfect app out for double camera recording

Scam!!
Clicked on 7 day free trial but forced to choose a yearly for $19.99, then I was automatically charged me $15. I’d like a refund App froze immediately. Reloaded, features are not what I require and pretty basic Unsubscribes and deleted

Just down loaded new version 3 it work great.
Still not fixed
Since the very first release Iv been asking for the ability to save settings. I do NOT want to record selfies. Every time I open the app I have to re select wide and tele cameras. I use other apps which not only save your preferences but lets you record from 3 lenses at once. Oh and they are free too.
Audio
I really do like this app it’s very handy, but for some reason, the audio quality is horrible. I’ve tried plug-in microphones and using the microphones on my iPhone and still the quality is very bad.

Crashed out and did not record in the middle of new year count down. Lags and bugs out.
Great app
I liked the app but be careful what they do with your info.
No option to save settings
Every time you start the app up I have to change the settings from HD to 4k and 60fps to 24fps. There is no option to save these settings to default. Apart from that the app works….sometimes. Sometimes it wont go past loading screen no matter how many times you restart it.
Almost amazing
The sound is not working on my videos so while the app is really cool it’s not helping me with anything.
What about Photos?
Allow us to take Photos with 3 different cameras at once.
Doesn’t work offline = worthless when hiking
Tried to use it when hiking and was out cellular range. The app just froze at the startup screen. Got back to WiFi and it started up fine. This is completely unacceptable and makes it worthless when hiking outside of cell service range.
The only app that does this thing seriously.
And that’s creating dual camera media. Sure it’s lacking some features for but really considering the other apps available, and what it would take to do natively (requiring a second phone), this does the job. If you are doing pro AV or something, there’s no audio input options or viewfinder availability.
Not good, randomly fails to record
I signed up for the annual subscription so I’m pretty sure it’s not a payment issue, but twice now I’ve gotten “unable to record” with no explanation and no way of fixing it, other than deleting the app, turning the phone off then on and reinstalling the app. This is not acceptable behavior, especially with no explanation and no way to diagnose or fix the issue, which deleting and reinstalling won’t work if it happens with no Internet access. This needs to be fixed.
Easier to use, but still missing key feature
I thought with the release of 3.0, we would finally have the option to use three cameras at once, but it’s just UI update. It does make it easier to use the app, but nothing has truly changed.

It used to be great, now it’s terrible
The camera worked as supposed before the latest update. Now it’s a mess. I recently recorded using the “picture in picture” feature, with the telephoto and the selfie cameras selected. Well, the selfie was recorded upside down and not in the position I selected. Not good!!!

Crash, crashing, crashed
I was Super excited to use this app on my 16 pro as a dual camera setup on top of my main camera while filming sports. The app kept crashing and when it crashed it didn’t record ANY of the current clip and it didn’t keep its settings so I’m the middle of a fast paced football game I was restarting the app, changing the resolution and frame rate and deselecting which cameras I wanted. And… it would crash a few shots later. I used to be a dedicated filmic pro user. I even won some awards using their app. But then that got so buggy I couldn’t use it anymore. I had hoped that getting the latest phone would fix my problems but alas. Definitely not worth the subscription. I didn’t even keep it for the entire free trial.
Bugs
One major bug, when screen orientation is locked and you record PiP in landscape, while recording its fine, but when you view the actual recording later on , the small video will be upside down. Another minor bug, when you start the app the default mode is just normal video recording - it should be Picture in Picture mode.
Kinda ok
It would’ve been a great app for me had it used the real “tele” lens on my iPhone Pro instead of just cropping the main “wide” lens since I needed the app to make 3D videos. But why won’t you use the real one ? What’s the deal ?
PLEASE FIX THIS ALREADY
Once the app is closed, settings do not save and you have to reapply everything all over again. I have to switch the lens, pick which is A and B, pick the frame rate and resolution then save, EVERY TIME. Let us save our preferred settings already! Also the app crashes a lot, and when it does you’ll loose all the footage. If this app could receive some more care I could be amazing!
Multiple Camera app
Does exactly what it says. Allows you to use 2 cameras at once for your phone. Great addition for creators.
Invasion of privacy
Man this thing is sending list of data back to its mother land. App won’t even open unless you allow it internet connect BEWARE!!! Don’t use
Great, but please add ‘nude’ feature!
No, I don’t mean for filming nudes! I mean allow me to remove the camera controls from the ‘webcam’ version of the camera output. I don’t want to see buttons I can’t operate obscuring the video in the PC camera window - just what the camera ‘sees’. If you really want to guild the lily and make my day without having to overcome the 1080p limitation on the output, allow me to operate the camera at whatever resolution it supports, but select the region for output, even if this can’t be larger than a 1920x1080 window. Leaving aside my wish list items, what the app does, it does well - good image quality, very low latency, and robust, so kudus and many thanks for that!
App crashed and footage lost
So sad, used this app to record a special surprise and lost of the footage as when we were done recording we picked up the phone to stop it, the screen rotated, the button disappeared, and there was nothing we could do but close out the app, loosing the footage entirely
Good features, but unreliable & needs polish
I love the ability to record from multiple cameras on my iPhone 13 at 4K 60. However, the app is quite buggy and lost a few recordings. Sometimes the screen will go black - this is not recoverable. All I can do is force quit and lose the recording. Also, it would be great to remember settings and make the video recording orientation independent of iOS orientation lock. Very easy to accidentally record a mix of resolutions if you’re not paying attention to the settings getting reset. Overall, this app a fun toy in low stakes scenarios. But I can not recommend this app in a production environment. It’s too easy to make mistakes and lose data.
