Decent Simulation, but…
I feel like this game is geared toward kids, or adults who like games that allow them to succeed with minimal effort. Tasks like batting, pitching, fielding, and running have very simple mechanics, which would be fine if it actually took practice to do them well. However, I found each task way too easy. This is a disappointment coming from the same people who produced New Star Soccer, but that’s not a fair comparison. I say that because NSS is probably the best sports simulation in mobile game history. I doubt that it will ever be equaled, so I shouldn’t apply the same standard here. Regardless, plenty of people seem to really like this game, and good for them. As for me, I’ll just have to keep looking.

love this game truly, play it 3-5 days a week however what i don’t like is how the sponsors and relationships work. you could have 35 great games in a row and you won’t gain a single sponsor because you don’t own a yacht, and the throwing mechanic could use an update but this game is really fun if you like baseball and killing time
If you don’t like baseball…
..then this is the game for you. It’s like drinking baseball flavored sparkling water. Reminds me of Ratatouie in that a rat masquerades as a human, although he was a real chef and in this game you don’t really actually play baseball. Carnival games where you shoot a water gun at a target and that somehow makes a horse run a race for you is what this game is like.
NSBB Review
It’s fun, but too many ads, and I know they need to make money somehow but they have in game purchases for idiots to give them money with, I spend just as much if not more time watching ads compared to playing the actual game. Also, too often the game won’t load at all.

Microtransaction pay to win game
I like the idea of this game - become a superstar baseball player by improving stats and playing games while moving up leagues. After maxing out the stats of my player it became obvious that to be successful in even the AAA equivalent level you’re going to need to pay real money for equipment that has a limited number of uses in games. In addition to that, the way your player is scored on the batting mini game is absolutely ridiculous. Singles are basically useless for improving your rating, and the only way to have a good rating is to have homeruns and doubles (triples are not a thing in this game, and if they are I didn’t see one in hundreds batting attempts). The game that finally made me delete this app was one in which my batting rating for the game decreased after hitting two doubles, a single, and a fly out. Batting .750 can get you a negative rating. Find another baseball game.

The whole game is good until you hit a triple but you get a single or double or they should be happy that I got on base not me going for 3rd because they want me to be out!
Looking for something like Retro Bowl?
Forget it. This has neither the charm or the fun gameplay of Retro Bowl. They leaned in much harder on the in-game purchases as well. After playing for a bit, you’ll very soon realize the game is just trying to make you pay for things.

I love the ideas that this game tries to do, but between the countless ways it forces you to spend money and the glitchiness of game (looking at you running mini game) I just can’t recommend the game. Hopefully it changes but this is how many of their other games are, so I doubt it

The need to make the gameplay and graphics more realistic and should try to get rights to have the names of real teams in the game. Also, there should be an option to skip the tutorial.
Ads ruin the experience
An ad after every game is insane when you consider how quickly you run out of energy after you get past the first few games. Your gonna be hounded to spend money to buy more energy, then you get hit with an unskippable ad that provides zero reward. This makes playing the game for an extended period absolutely unfun.

Oyun başında sponsorun verdiği para giden enerji içeceğini karşılamayacak neredeyse. Abi koşu mekaniği bir oyunda bu kadar mı kötü olur. Lütfen şu koşuyu düzeltin. Çok saçma bir mekaniği var. Kaç yıllık oyun, bunca sene neden düzeltilmemiş bu durum. Bir de milli takım turnuvası falan var mı? Daha hiçbir etkileşim almadım.

Rigged to fail
Literally impossible to do any real progression without spending lots of money. No where near enough energy to train and play If you use energy to build a relationship it will give you a dilemma situation where you lose all the points you just wasted energy on building Ok game to play but if want to do well and actually progress get your credit card out
Frustrating and fun
Definitely can be frustrating but it’s also so fun and worth getting
Batting and Performance are completely unbalanced
Overall is a very well thought up game. Love the lower league starting point and having to work your way up. What I don’t get is how can I go 3 for 4 in batting (2 doubles, 1 single, and a fly out) and get a -3 overall for batting. That’s an outstanding day for any MLB batter we were winning every game too. Then after multiple at bats with that kind of play I get put down into the lower league to finish out the season. Why? Because I wasn’t hitting 4 HRs a game? Do I seriously have to hit a HR every game just to have the manager be happy with me? Just for reference I was in the 90s with all three relationships in the B league.
Feature Request: Choose our own Starting Team in New Star Baseball
We want the ability to choose our own starting team when beginning a new career. Having the option to pick from different teams would allow players to customize their experience from the start and create a unique story.

It’s a great game but every so often you go to load it up and then you end up on a half screen and you have to delete it and re download it to get it to work again because of this I didn’t re download it as it put me off the game
A wee bit monotonous
Fun to play but buying energy costs all your salary. Also you’re stuck at pitcher and right field, no other options. Catching a fly ball is guesswork too.

So I looked at this game and I thought I might try it out cause sometimes games preview are wrong so when I tried this out it was the exact same and I can almost get a home run every time I bat and pitch So thank you developers for a wonderful game

Solid but repetitive
Solid game overall but gets quite repetitive and boring. Especially for fielding(throwing), should be different angles to throw the ball - potential for double plays etc. Batting is good, pitching is great fun, catching is good and running is also good.

I’m stuck early on, as the game tells me I need more energy but won’t let me go and buy energy as I’m trapped in a tutorial trying to teach me how to use relationship cards.
Fun game
This game is fun for the most part. Except for the fact that you lose so much energy for playing a game. I start with 100 energy and end with 20 on average. It costs over one hundred coins for me to buy an energy drink but I only earn around 40 coins per game max. When your energy is low, the chemistry between you and the coach goes down and you start the game on the bench. The thing is, when you’re on the bench, your team plays like the 2024 White Sox and gives up 7+ runs before you enter the game. You are still low on energy and will only keep losing energy unless you buy an xp drink. Additionally, if you want to upgrade your player or the relationship between the coach, sponsors, and teammates, that also will deplete your energy. So while I’m struggling to win games where I don’t start, my relationships are only going downhill meaning I will earn even fewer coins per game. Also, why am I getting thrown out at first but the center fielder but manage to get a single from a grounder to the pitcher? For fielding opportunities where you have to throw the ball to second to get the runner, if you are too late, that will also make you lose stats because your game rating will go down, even if the batter actually has a good hit where you cannot field it in time to get the runner. I also find it interesting that your can only get a double if the ball actually hits the wall, so I could hit a ball in a gap or down the line, but if it doesn’t reach the wall, it is only a single. Besides that good game.

Great game but the batting needs improvement
The game is pretty fun with the new card system, I think it’s a nice addition which gives you a leg up on stronger teams. The batting mechanic is honestly a hit or miss for me. There’s numerous times where I’ve actually hit the ball just right and it goes for a catch, and at times where I hit it too early, rather than a foul I score a home run. Please fix the batting system, it’s super inaccurate sometimes and is a major let down when I’m in a crucial moment.
Restore purchases?
Where is the restore purchases option? I reinstalled the game and it’s asking me to pay again This game feels more aggressive for making purchases than the other. I’m in a d league and once you get past all the hand holding parts the difficulty goes through the roof. Constantly playing teams with a much higher star rating you have no chance of home runs. I ended up on the bench and just can’t get off of it. My star rating never goes up I love new star games as the mini games are always fun I just think the balance is off on this one.
Stats
Cool game but no batting average stats nor individual leaderboard to see how you rank in your league. ERA would be nice. Baseball is all about statistics.

Very annoying game!
This game is very unfair and makes it very hard on purpose. For example, when I hit the ball with the bat and my character automatically runs, they run as slow as f and gets out 99% of the time. Meanwhile everyone else runs 10 times faster than me! Secondly, whenever it says I can make it to another base and it is very easy, it just gets me out no matter what. However when it says risky, I can always make it very easily. This makes no sense! Also if I win a game and I do well, it stupidly makes the relationship lower and it gets very annoying. The NRG drink is too expensive and you only get 1! Do not download this game as you will soon get annoyed. You better fix this then I will download again! Thank you
Great game except one issue
Similar play style to NS soccer. The matches and minigames are fun and I enjoy the process of upgrading everything so good job! One thing that is affecting my current games is the minigames that you do to upgrade your batting skill are way too hard. Please have a look at this :) Love everything else though!
