Staff always helpful and friendly it’s a great experience for all the family
Appallingly Bad
Their website doesn’t work so this app is the only way to book swimming. They don’t use Apple Pay and there’s no way to save your card details so paying for bookings is an amateurish pain.
Pretty Good
I quite like this app. I started going to the gym recently and this just helped me book things a bit easier. One thing, i don’t really like how you can’t see how many people are on the waiting list for each session. Could you maybe add that one feature and then, in my opinion, this would be a perfect app.
Not family friendly app
This is good for one person however if you’re a family you can not add your children accounts to it. One device is just for one account. It will be massive improvement if you could easily go to your other accounts
Swimming payment
Hi I have the same issue every time I pay for swimming it doesn’t click through at the end to show it’s paid and complete. Thanks Karen
Very helpful
Easy to use, I’d forgotten my ID and password and called reception and a lovely girl said she could email my ID and I could then reset my password. Very happy with the service I received. Gail
App doesn’t work says unreachable
For some reason as others have said below on my phone the app just says service unreachable. Even deleting and reinstalling doesn’t help.
Hairdryers + showers
It’s a pity the use of hairdryers aren’t free & it would be lovely to have better facilities (speaking as a female) to get ready after a workout for a night out; otherwise best gym & pool in Chelmsford-puts the private ones to shame :)

Water always cold at 6.30 mon to Friday! Other people are allowed in earlier in fast Lanes ! Feels like control freaks are in control…

Fabulous staff that cannot do enough to help you! Great Gym. Very clean. Highly recommended.
Problematic
Impossible to register as menus fail over mobiles, make it easier to register and login please and also show age restrictions on sessions if adults must be present, saves a call. Also, what is Ice Patch? Having little one mine descriptions with the activity for some helps those unfamiliar with the “ice” lingo.
Needs improvement
I agree with the improvements suggested by other reviewers and I need to be able to add my children’s membership accounts to my app so I can book all our sessions without having to log out and log back in on another account number.

Like the layout but it NEVER loads! I have to delete it and re download every time!
Happy at SWF Leisure Centre
I joined the SWF Leisure Centre about a month ago, April 2022 and absolutely love it. I wanted to shake up my own exercise routine a bit. Really enjoying the aqua aerobics and yoga classes. The teachers are very professional, and mindful of letting you go at your own pace. I attend 3 classes a week and I am already feeling fitter! I can wholeheartedly recommend the Centre.
Terrible booking system
Great facility. Lovely staff. Worst booking system ever. So tricky to navigate. I’ve booked a lot of things online, and their app & website are simply the worst. Such a shame as if we had any other ice rink option- we’d go there. But as they have the monopoly, they don’t need to improve, and they know it.
Constant crashes
This app has worked fine until recently. It now crashes every time I try to use it. Have to delete and reinstall to book then next time it crashes and I have to go through the whole procedure again. Please fix this as very annoying and missing out on bookings.
Buggy
The push notifications don’t seem to work. And moving from the wait list to booked doesn’t work. I was on the wait list for a class and when I started receiving hourly emails that places were available, no push notification though. The booking link in the email didn’t work and the app wouldn’t let me book the class without first cancelling my place on the wait list and re-booking.

Please can we have the air conditioning on on the Tuesday class over fifty’s at 9.30 am with Caroline. It gets so hot in there I can feel dizzy.
100% Crash.
Crashes on load every time.(iPhone 12) Absolutely useless. No update for 7 months and developer named as “Chelmsford City Pest Control” sais it all really.

Booking system is poor
The app itself is ok-ish. The booking system is stupid. It appears I can’t book a swimming session for me and my 1 year old child without creating her a separate account and making a completely separate booking.
Horrific
No Apple Pay support, poor design, limited to over 17 ( why? ) - more security and hurdle jumping the purchasing almost anything else. This is typical council obstruction of what should be an easy processes which only drives people away from its facilities. It has taken me and my wife 45 min to sign up and book a swimming session. Do better. ( love that the app is designed by pest control )
Swimming list needs improvement
In-app swimming booking is a poor user experience Needs to show the start and end times of slots without tapping into the booking slot to see this. Slots when pool is not open for public swimming should be listed so people can easily see when the pool is not available to use. Looking forward to seeing the improvements
App crashes on opening
iPad mini on iOS 12.5.7 - app crashes out within seconds of opening from the icon. Have tried uninstall/reinstall etc. Tested on iPhone (iOS 16) and loads okay. Unable to locate support email address for developer. Any advice gratefully received.
