Keeps me involved!
I’ve been more active on LinkedIn lately and mostly just paying attention to what actually gets conversations going. Not likes — conversations. What I noticed is that the days I post anything thoughtful, people respond. The days I don’t, nothing happens. That sounds obvious, but it took me a while to internalize it. Ghost fits into that realization pretty well. I don’t really think about it as an “AI app” or whatever. It’s more like a place I check in the morning to see if there’s something worth sharing. Sometimes there is, sometimes I change it to match something I’m already thinking about, sometimes it just sparks a better version of my own thought. What matters is that it keeps me participating instead of lurking. And once you’re participating, the network part kind of takes care of itself. People reply. They DM. They remember you exist. That’s been the actual value for me.
Bring back the OG Caption Writer!
Since update I can’t log in and just an unnecessary annoyance. Cancelling my subscription and using another app from now on.
Great app!
I just wish that more features were free. Otherwise, it’s wonderful.
Feels Pointless
While this app has more than the others I have researched and tried using, captions is the only thing opened to you if you do not get a subscription. If you stick to the limited plan, it gives you very generic, clearly AI produced captions/quotes that feel like you could have found them out of a book. If you want to get the paid plan, then maybe it would open up more stuff, but I see no point for it as I can’t use it for what I needed it for, the hashtags.
Nice
Good
Saves me a ton of time!!
I don’t usually leave reviews but this update deserves one. Ten stars. I’m working on a recipe app and trying to grow it in public, and posting consistently was always the first thing to slip. Not because I didn’t care — I just want to spend my time improving the app. Ghost handles the social part now. Some days I post exactly what it gives me, some days I edit it, but either way I’m actually showing up. That alone makes it worth it.
Horrible Worst UPDATE Ever
I had the previous version of this app when it was called Caption. I organized my content into folders and had over 2 years of content stories. Out of the blue they destroyed the app with this AI nonsense and removed what it was for. To create captions with spaces and to easily tell the number of characters for post. I’ve lost 2-3 years of captions and all of my preloaded captions that I created. The app is useless now. You can’t count characters or create. Now we have an unusable app and weeks of content I created in advance is gone in an instant. Horrible app! Horrible do not use!
Great but expensive
Loving the free version even though I can only used it very limited. I can’t bring myself to spend $25 a month on an app.
Not worth it anymore
This used to be a brilliant app for writing IG captions. I’ve used it for over 4 years. Now they are removing features like fonts that have been there forever & not allowing you to write any new captions. Instead you have to edit old ones. If you want the fonts and ability to write new captions back, then they are changing an outrageous $29.95 a month, oh and adding in fonts and AI. I just want captions and spacing for IG. So I’m deleting this and getting another app.
Annoying
Only writing a review because they prompt me to every time I use the app!
Loving this new update!
The new update to Ghost is honestly kind of insane. I used to sit there way too long thinking “ok what do I even post today” and half the time I’d just close the app and do nothing. Now I open Ghost and it literally tells me what to post every day! Most days I just post it as-is, sometimes I tweak a line, but either way the thinking is done. It also actually sounds like me, which I didn’t expect at all! Posting feels easy now instead of annoying. If you know you should be posting but always get stuck, this update is a game changer.
Losing all my captions!
I’ve been a paid user for years and had tons of saved and categorized captions in this app only to open it and see none of my captions and trash AI. What is going on here?! I paid monthly to ensure I could access my own written captions that I use and reuse often. Where was the warning on this? And where are my captions? I’m not interested in having Ai write my content. This was a great app and now I don’t know what to think.
Love it. Works great
Great app. Easy to use.
Glitchy
Really glitchy after the latest IOS update You can’t select text easily
Review
Not really. I paid for an upgrade & didn’t get it. The app is inflexible & frustrating
It’s easy
Love it. Creates the best captions short and very cheerful
What happened to the original
All the work I put into my hashtags and templates and now they are all gone. What happened to the original app why was it replaced with this new and not improved app. Why was this changed ?
Great App
Really useful features. Caption writing is a breeze! Give it a try
Awesome
App helps me when I’m stuck.
Just terrible
I don't need nor do I desire AI to write anything for me. This is not why I was using the app!
Good so far!
This seems to work well so far. The only reason not to give it 5 stars is that I haven’t used it enough to fully critique. It’s definitely a help in my spacing and captions. I do wish it brought up more hashtag stats as I’m typing them in but I may not have it set up correctly for that.
Can't live without it for years!
It saved time and keep my content organized and professional.
Don’t delete the app (unless you want to lose everything)
I used this app faithfully for almost 5 years as a Pro member. It recently wouldn’t load so I deleted it, thinking – wrongly, it turned out – that as someone who’s paid $35/ year for 5 years with (supposedly) cloud storage that my captions would be restored upon logging back in. Nope. And not only did I lose 5 years’ worth of captions, but when I logged back in, it dropped me into its limited tier despite the fact that my paid subscription renews in less than a month. When they didn’t respond to the support email address I used previously, I deleted the app. Not sure what’s going on here, but it isn’t the app it used to be.
Love this App!
This is a really cool app and can make text on posts stand out. Would have given 5 starts if it had a greater selection of fonts
It does what it does 100%
no further questions
Too expensive
Used to love this app but the new charge of $19.99/month is ridiculous. The free version is useless.
Great app
Brilliant app! Not a fan of the continual adverts to upgrade to the paid version though.
Love it!
Quick and easy to use.
Time out
App worked great it is timing out and can’t generate captions. Save your money and find another reliable app.
Good
Easy to use. Streamlines running an instagram account. No real complaints so far
Great App
This app is to easy to use and perfect for my IG posts!
$19.99 a month FOR WHAT?!
This app used to be great. I can see charging for it, but $19.99 is ridiculous. Up charge for premium features like AI, but basic features like writing a caption should have remained free. 🤬😡
Great time saver !!
Simple and useful app, can’t wait to see if there will be added features. Eg a trending hashtags search for niche content, that would be a nice addition.
Love this App
This app Help me to be more accretive and efficient
I was robbed
I paid for an annual subscription & now the app says it doesn’t have a purchase at my account & I have only Limited access. The contact link is inactive. I don’t know what the problem is, but I am extremely angry. Going off to look for another caption app & figuring out how to get a refund for my $29.99 subscription that is in my Apple account.
Great time saver!
Like many people running their own business (especially in the health and wellness arena), I rely on social media a lot for promotion. Having an app to not only help prep captions etc in bulk, but to keep the spacing that you want is great! The only problem I find is that for some reason it is hard to edit text in a particular spot. Usually it takes me to different parts the first few times, which is frustrating - would be great if that could be sorted!
