Love this app
I’ve been using this app for years and it had never let me down. As an esthetician I love that it’s custom for your Fitzpatrick, and will allow you to set timers based off what spf if any you are wearing! Bonus points for the vitamin D timer!

Sun exposure feature not working
Good app, I pay for the pro version. Good new feature with Sun Exposure tracking. One bug: The Finish button is not working from the lock screen very reliably. It oftentimes does nothing for me. I have to click around the button on the sunbeam stats so that it opens the app, then press the Finish button in the app. One suggestion: The biggest challenge I’m having with logging sun exposure is remembering to turn it off when I come back in. Perhaps there could be an option to turn on a slight sound like a chirp to remind that it is still running, and/or a way to edit an entry that ran too long by dialing back the minutes and the app estimating the IUs back accordingly.
Just Why?
I forgot to clock the exact time in the sun so I put “start session” an hour into it and was going to adjust the time and their is NO option to do so. Why?
Great UV indicator
We live at an elevation of 9500’ in northern NM. In the summer at that elevation, the UVs are off the chart 😳. This app really helps us to plan our day to avoid excessive rays!!😎

This app helps me keep track when it’s safe for me to be in the sun before the UV rays are too high. I had skin cancer last year so this is really important for me. Happy with the ease of using it as well.

Diese App ist was die Darstellung angeht, gut und übersichtlich. Die Aussagen zu den verschiedenen Hauttypen, hier welche auch Trockene, Fettige oder Rissige Haut, den auch das beeinflusst die UV-Strahlung vom Hauttyp. Die Haut ist ein Komplexes System welche viele Funktionen hat und diese unser größtes Organ ist. Die App bietet einige Funktionen welche gut Dargestellt sind so auch Grafisch gut zu erkennen sind. Doch auch hier sind die Kosten welche für das Monat, für das Jahr eben sehr unübersichtlich dargestellt ist, hier würde ich mir wünschen das die Kosten bereits beim öffnen dargestellt werden könnten um so besser zu sehen und nicht erst nach manchen suchen, den die gibt es. Hier wäre schon vor der Installation ein Hinweis schon möglich, das heißt auch vor der Installation und hier kann man Entscheiden ob man Woche, Monat‘s, ein Jahres oder Lebenslanger Beitrag, das kann man bereits bei der Installation Auswählen!!!. Bin auf das nächste Update gespannt.

Shame pro isn’t free
Free app is simple and does the basics, however, I have skin cancer so my main focus is UV, Vitamin D and time to burn stats. It’s a shame you need the pro version for this which is way too expensive.

YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR EVERYTHING. I just want an app that you can track the uv for tanning etc and you have to pay. TO SEE THE UV? i don’t think you should pay to see the uv

Misleading
I downloaded the app. Won’t work unless you agree to the 10 free trial of the Pro version and agree to pay the monthly fee afterwards. Not like you get to try it first or just use the standard version then decide. Very deceptive in the App Store. I had another app similar but now it’s no longer available in the country where I’m at.

I love this app it comes in handy when I want to tan but there were some thing I didn’t like such as the sumbeam pro can’t they just give it for free I know they need money but still. Second is when u go to settings and go to app icon it doesn’t let me click on them . That’s if but over all I guess it was good

I would give it more stars if…
1. If you could control the timer from Apple Watch (mine is ultra). The app on the watch only gives you general information. The timer also doesn't have a sound to know when it's over. You can't have your cell phone on hand while we're in the sun because it could get overheating. 2. It does not keep a record of exposures, especially those that are made to generate vitamin D. 3. It is not compatible with Apple health so you can't keep a record. You have to enter the data manually which makes it a little tedious since you run the risk of forgetting to enter the information. On the other hand, it is practical and easy to understand.

Great app for assessing sunburn risk and daylight hours. Also good for evaluating sunlight energy available to plants.

so don’t get me wrong i love this app but every time i go somewhere and i want to now the UV it says somewhere that i was before and not my location so i have to delete the app and get it back ( minus a star )and i live in XXX and it said that i was in XX witch i’m very far from that place( minus a star )so it’s not accurate at all, sometimes and on my other weather app that’s very accurate and, trustworthy said the UV was like 7 and this app said it was 10 ( minus a star )so i was very confused. the widget is so hideous ( minus a star )so developer please make new widgets and it says the max UV is 10 and it’s not so (minus a star) and a lot of the stuff it pro and your basically paying for the hole app and the stuff that’s free is like the UV and 3 days of the UV and the widget that’s plain white with the UV on it and your location and whatever this thing is it’s like this 🔅\76 i love this app but it needs A LOT OF IMPROVEMENT i’m giving it a 1 star but would give it a 0

I live this app for all the great info. Shows me the UV index by the hour and tells me when it’s best to tan based on my skin and other details. Although it is very restricted if I am not wanting to pay for the premium account. There are so many bells and whistles in this app that you only have access to if you pay for the premium.

I wish that the UV-index score would be with decimals. There is a big difference if the UV is 4.9 or 4.5. I don’t know if it might be related to the estimated time for sunburn function, that it’s showed in that way. … But I’m already compensating for the estimated sunburn time, because it’s way to high set (at least to my experience and what the health authorities advise in my country). And we are talking a difference “in a hole skin type”. That skin type 1 estimates for sunburn in this app, is what the health authorities in my country recommends for the skin type 2… ☀️🔥 So example, UV-index at 3 for the skin type 1 in this app says burn after 55 minutes, while in my country it’s recommended max 40 minutes. So if decimal’s could be included, it will help me a lot.
