Doesn’t work
Brown noise doesn’t work! It was the only sound I liked on this app and now it is silent.

Ambiguous returns in commands and somewhat unclear instructions. Otherwise perfect other than ios muting any audio in favour of any native application. Ngl I'm still trying to find an application in 2025 that will actually still run with pokemon sleep tracking. They all used to. Now none do, and most have changed to subscription models. Which would be cool if they actually worked.
Timer doesn’t work
The timer option doesn’t work 99% of the time. Plays all night long not just the 30 minutes it is set for. Tried all different ways and still wants to play all night. Did help with going to sleep but wakes me up in the middle of the night because it’s still playing.
Landscape mode
Very well made app except it's locked in vertical. Landscape mode would make it perfect.

Porn ads
Very disappointed that a porn ad came up at the bottom of the app page. Deleting for that purpose.
I like this app, but….
This app is pretty good except every 3-4 days it gets a little wonky. It will not play for the time you set for it, but it’ll play through the entire night. Then I have to d/c the app, wait a day then open it again. If they could fit that, they’d get a 5. 🙂
Naja
Gute Idee, einfaches Design aber nicht gut umgesetzt. Selbst in dem Preview Video im Appstore ruckelt alles 😄 Heruntergeladen habe ich es für die Apple Watch und da ist immer alles auf voller Lautstärke, selbst wenn man es runter regelt. Deswegen für mich nicht zu gebrauchen.

Watch app is useless
Not sure what the point of shipping an Apple Watch version of this app is. You start playing a soundtrack, and it immediately stops when you put your wrist down. Doesn’t play in the background over connected headphones as one would expect.

Hate the update!
Used to love this app. Pleasing sounds, that you can mix and match, easy to use interface, then an update became available… when the app loads, the screen no longer responds consistently to my touch. I can’t scroll to look at all the sound options. I touch the screen and drag down as you do in scrolling and nothing happens. Try again, nothing. Eventually, after multiple attempts, it responds, but as soon as I lift my finger I am back to fighting the screen to scroll. It didn’t do this in the earlier version of the app.
Good but flawed
I got this app a while ago and really like it in a lot of ways. The sound quality is pretty good, and the interface is nice and simple, but there are a few things I really don’t like. * Ads. It doesn’t matter too much because I don’t spend time looking at the app, but given the option, I’d much rather pay a couple of dollars as a one-time purchase to get rid of the ads. * Sound pauses whenever other sound is played. I wish there were an option to override that. Sometimes I play the white noise on my iPad while browsing, and if I accidentally start playing a video, the white noise stops, and I have to reopen the app and start it playing again. That problem is made worse by the fact that… * It gets stuck on pause/stop. If the sound is stopped, it’s common to get into a state where it won’t start again. It doesn’t matter if it’s paused by me pressing the pause button or by another sound playing, it won’t start playing again until I completely close the app out. * It only supports portrait mode. Like I said, I have it on my iPad, and when I open the app, it’s always stuck in portrait mode. It won’t rotate the display if I’m using the iPad in landscape mode. This didn’t used to be the case, but the screen rotation seems to have been broken in a recent update. I have an iPad Pro M2 running the latest iPadOS.

Apple Watch bug?
I got this app for my Apple Watch (Watch OS 8.4), but it turns stops playing every time the screen turns off! This doesn’t happen with any other Watch apps or with this app on my phone. The developer website doesn’t work to get support. It’s a shame because it sounds amazing but it doesn’t do what I need it too.
Amazing
Consider the facts: free, multiple relaxing options, a timer so you can set it for going to bed, able to kid and match sounds and set their personal volumes. This is absolutely amazing and I love it
Woah! Bad update!
What happened? Why is there now weird clicking noises? And now the scroll is broken, things are misspelled…. Huge step backwards. I really depended on this app and now it’s broken. I’m devastated. Please put it all back to how it was!

Used to be the best app for white noise now it keeps crashing, buttons are way to big it’s impossible to scroll down. Please fix the design.
Great app
However I really really want more sound options like rain on a tin roof and stuff like that sounds that are sort of home like but still peaceful. Still it’s a really great app excellent for those of us who can’t sleep in silence.

Updated review- volume controls on screen broken, sometimes app crashes to desktop
Well, it was good for a while folks. App provided nice sounds, no ads (which isn’t a dealbreaker, just a nice bonus) used at again today and crashes out to home screen/desktop after a few seconds, along with banner ads at the bottom that cover up controls. Coincidence? A uninstall and reinstall seemed to fix, but now the individual volume sliders on the effects are broken, you have to use the control panel at the bottom. No ads again. Weird, maybe something to do with ads loading screws something up? Anyway app seems to work for now half way, but like a lot of other apps that start out good, you get concerned that it’s just going to become ad infested unusable hot garbage down the line...

Possibly the best soothing sounds app because it allows you to combine sounds and adjust individual sound volumes for a customizable experience.
Used to love this app
I used to use this app everyday to meditate with brown/white noise. They spelled brown wrong and added an annoying clicking sound to it. Way to mess it all up just to change the colors of the interface.
Décent
This app is pretty good. It halos me sleep when there is no fan, however it can be a bit laggy at times.
Surprisingly Useful
I guess it works pretty good. Better on iOS than anything else. The Android will make you angry. Locks up and sometimes just shuts off on its own. This app saves the day sometimes tho. I have bad tinnitus and it really helps!
What a great K.I.S.S. App!!
Used BetterSleep for years until they recently opted to price themselves out of my market. This app does exactly what I was looking for and does it simplistically well. Highly recommend it.

The new update is not very good. The old version worked better. Also, it’s BROWN not brawn.
Really good but there is one main problem
Okay so this app is really amazing because there is a lot of customization and you can even save sounds. On the other hand, every time I turn on or unpause the WhiteNoise, it turns on a forest sound with out saying that the forest sound is on. Its really annoying but that’s really the only problem I've ran into with this app.
wish there was more sounds
love this app, only white noise app i’ve that doesn’t have a subscription or advertising, only wish they had more sounds but it’s free so i can’t complain too much, thank you white noise, i love y’all
New update made app unusable
Odd clicking and rattling noises disrupt the sounds. Why would you think people want to hear extra random noises? Fan noise is different now and awful. Baffling. Please revert back to the old sounds.

Times just what I needed sounds great
Warning- no more pink noise
The latest update deletes pink noise as an option- so odd, since pink noise is widely viewed as best for sleep. If you use pink noise, update at your own risk. Update: there is a terrible clicking in the loop for “brawn” noise as well. Deleted.
Love it but 1 complaint
I love this app it helps me sleep soundly I used to listen to a podcast but this is way better. I wanted to listen to the podcast and not go to sleep. My only suggestion would be let us dealete the favs that we didn’t fav at the beginning. So if you are have inv a hard tim sleeping I recommend this app.
