What they complain about

- Does not listen to your playing.
Such a good game.
I’ve been learning my French horn for over one year and already this app has made me better in just one day!!
Looking for something for my students
There’s a couple of places that could do with some more explanation to start for a beginner (me explaining). But it looks promising.
Potential
I love the way it sees my intonation issues and rhythm mistakes but the app constantly hangs after I finish performing or practicing. Sometimes it says no internet connectivity but my internet is fine. Need to fix this bug to make it useable.
Not enough
The app might be good for beginners, but it doesn't have enough content for advanced musicians. - The available songs are to easy and to short. - More exercises for tone precision and higher tones would also be nice At the moment I think the price is too expensive for what the app offers. If more complex music tracks are added every month, I wouldn't mind a subscription
French horn
It is alright helped me a lot
Mad
I want to cancel my subscription but it’s not letting me
英語がわからないのが悪いんですけど…
音声が英語なのは個人的にはリスニング力の向上に繋がり良いと思うのですが😅 せめて字幕は、変えれるようにして欲しかったです。結局使い方がわかりませんでした。
Best app
I downloaded this as a joke, I had been playing French horn for three years. This is actually turned out to be a really outstanding app. Would highly recommend
Worst
You have to pay the rest like the first to lessons are free but of course they have to make it 12 dollars 😡
Great App for Practicing
As someone picking up the horn again after 20 years, Tonestro has been great at helping me regain my pitch and rhythm. The challenges are a good way to gauge my progress, and I’m looking forward to future updates. My one complaint is that the app doesn’t work in landscape mode on the iPad unless I’m in an actual song. I have to turn my iPad to portrait mode whenever I’m navigating to the next song in my challenge.
I love it
It’s honestly a good app if people want to learn how to play French horn. I played for 3 years now and this app really helped me a lot
Buyer Beware
This “free” app charged me $150. I’ve disputed the charge but have not been refunded. I did not even use the app.
A great addition to the brass community
Overall the app is very good packed with features that are very useful and the app itself is very educational and possibly one of the best of its kind. But I would like to see a live fingering display that will tell you the right fingerings for beginners I think that would help a lot and would love to this implemented in the future. Overall great app definitely would recommend.
Not recommended
It really only helps with the notes themselves, it doesn’t really tell you how to set your, embouchure, or how to actually change pitch with your lips, personally I only used it for the tuner, it was helpful to see what note I was playing. Then the free trial ended, and I stopped using it completely. Overall, not a very good app.
Doesn’t listen
One of Tonestro’s great features is that is listens to you play and tells you if youre in tune. I’ve tried this function with Trumpet and Trombone and it works great. Tonestro for French Horn is all together different. Instead of games where you play and tonestro listens the only game you play is the rhythm game. With the rhythm game you tap on a button on your screen and the app play the notes as you tap. That’s it. You don’t play and it listens, you tap and it plays. It’s almost pointless and certainly not worth using for more than a few minutes.
Did not recognize
My French Horn did not recognize on the app
App stinks
You don’t even play your French horn like why even make the app (YOU DONT PLAY YOUR REAL LIFE FRENCH HORN)
