SLAY
So I got my clarinet like yesterday and I practised two hours last night and two hours right now and I’ve already been playing three songs just if you really don’t give up just don’t give up you’re going to do great I wouldn’t think I was gonna do I thought it was terrible at first kept squeaking, but if you ask your teacherin the app, she helped me and I’m really good at this now.
Useless
Totally useless app. Don’t waste your time and money on this thing
Good
Great to play songs but as a beginner I would like SCALES for beginners and FINGERING exercises for clarinet.
Even with premium
The free plan has nothing to offer, only an intro that can easily be found on yt. The song catalog is very limited, for that price I would expect to find some niche good pieces but there are like 60 songs and most of them are boring and overplayed. I would rather hire a teacher and buy scores. Besides that, the interface is pretty smooth and easy to follow.
What does it mean?
It tells me to play the note E I play it perfectly and it says I got it wrong 😑 I’m confused! HELP PLS (pls means please)!!!!! Send a review to help me or I won’t be able to play a real song I love playing my clarinet and I have a school performance I need to learn rock one and rock two quickly please please send a review to help me fix it
Awesome
This app helped me catch up in my clarinet classes at school and really allows me improve this is a ten out of ten from me!
Review
It’s rubbish I can’t do anything because to do anything it costs money!
Only snippets of music even on premium

Good app but lacks content and leaves you hanging…
Finished all the guided lessons in the app up to Advanced level. Really good! However, it just finishes and there’s no guidance on how to use the rest of the material, recommended practice plans, nor any technique guidance, eg. alternative fingerings and when to use them, how to rapidly switch registers, avoid fatigue, check embouchure, etc. Had to use YouTube for that which is a real shame.
Tonestra
It’s a brilliant way to check your tone is correct when you are learning to play
Very confusing subscription
We have been charged but can’t access the account now - unable to login on the iPad we originally used it with. Mistakenly set up another account - will probably be charged again. Help very slow took 2 days to respond and didn’t fix the problem so still unable to log in. Extremely unhappy.
Good info but doesn’t listen well
I liked the information that the app gave about clarinet but the song feedback wasn’t great. I’m a grade 8 player and have a performance degree and teaching diploma in my other instrument so I know my notes and rhythm were correct and the app would only give me around 80% accuracy, it wasn’t great at recognising the same note multiple times or my open G which is slightly flat but still closer to a G than an F# (a common issue in clarinets so we often cover the tone holes with the right hand which I did). A beginner clarinetist isn’t going to have a perfect tuning or tonguing ability so can’t help but feel this would be disheartening. I’ve been getting so many ads for this app lately I thought I would get the free trial to see what it was actually like.
Great app....but
I purchased this app as a complete beginner on the clarinet. It’s brilliant for learning new notes and I’ve progressed really well. Unfortunately the learn section only goes up to F#3, which means I would not recommend the purchase of this app. However I contacted Tonestro support and was given the reply “ The lesson F#3 is the last lesson for now. We plan to expand the learning path, but unfortunately I can't give you an exact date yet.” If this happens then I would give 5 stars and rave about the app.
Nice
Pretty good so far (although I only started 30 min ago)... you can get a lot of stuff for free so that’s good. Thank you developers for making this app :))
even you a beginner have to pay it 😡
You cannot play because you have to pay for it
Was brilliant
Since the latest update I can not get the app to start. I have tried reinstalling twice but the app will just not open anymore in my iPhone XS Disappointed as it was very good.
Amazing app
Very good application, it helps you improve your tuning and rhythm
Tonestra
It’s a big con App is in a foreign language with English spoken over the top Once you have free trial you can’t cancel! Not worth £99.98! Didn’t use it at all No stars but it won’t let me give none so had to give it one
Good app
I just downloaded it and have played about ten songs. It Is really good so far nothing bad I have not had to pay yet.
