Hello! It has been so long since i joined Fictif! I’ve completed all of my favourite stories and among them some of them are still unfinished, such as Last Legacy, Monster Manor, Into the Mist etc. haven’t been completed or fully published yet. I’m still waiting for the next chapters of these stories. Please, read my review and take steps according to that! I really hope you guys will publish the remaining stories. Thank you ❤️!

Love this app so far however…
Hey, so I really love the stories so far and I had recently downloaded the app. I think it’s great so far, however I wish you guys had more ways to get stars. Like watching ads if you can’t pay for stars. Like I’m willing to watch ads to get stars ngl or even making more different quest or mini games to get stars Thats pretty much it. The app is good but if you can give us more ways to get stars definitely change this to five stars.

I genuinely love last legacy, but the app is breaking. Everytime a background changes the screen freezes then starts flashing, it even freezes randomly and the only fix is completely closing the game. I don't even care if the game gets finished anymore, I just want to be able to play what's left of it.
I love it but...
i used to play this all the time, and decided to revisit one of my all time favorites, Two Against the World, but i noticed that, some of the dialogue runs off the screen. i mean, it's a minor issue, i can always reread what the dialogue says through the history but still... please fix this, i want to enjoy it like before 🥹🥹

I fully understand that it is being maintained. Please do not reply saying that. Dorain this part is for you directly as the community wishes the stories were completed and you have a platform that has writers, writers willing to finish content. Here is one example you can do in order to revive the app AND bring people to your parent app. Make a contest of your writers on the Dorian app writing these fictif characters and the people will choose who writes them the best. Your writers have so many stories to work with. For those who wish to play the app, do it. The most popular stories may not be finished but many are though if it is sapphic stories you’re looking for, this is not the place.

The stories are quite interesting with a variety of stories to choose from, my only issue with this game is the stars….it takes awhile to just get enough for one choice let alone if the story your reading has multiple. The star choices for me at least are 25 PER choice! and it’s quite hard to say the least to collect them, perhaps the developers could add offers or more ways to get stars (I do understand they have to make money though) but besides that, amazing game!
Dorian DOES NOT care.
I used to love Fictif. Unfortunately, I got into it too late. It’s been a little under a year since Dorian has decided not to update The Arcana OR Fictif with any new content, and it shows just how little they care about either. With the Arcana it’s not as big of a deal since the main stories are over— but Dorian only cares about the Arcana in order to promote their own app. Fictif doesn’t get those annoying pop ups that the Arcana app does alerting to every new fanfiction written on the dorian app, nor does it have the community tab, but that’s both a blessing and a curse. On one hand, it means Fictif has remained completely untouched from the days it was still owned by Nix Hydra, where we were actually getting content and these stories were actually owned and written by people who CARE about them, instead of just trying to profit off of fans while putting in little to no work to actually provide fans with any content. However, Fictif being untouched also shows just how little Dorian cares about these stories. The Arcana, at least, is profitable to them. It’s less risk due to being an entirely finished story, and has a bigger fanbase to appeal to. Out of the three Dorian properties on the App Store, (the arcana, Fictif, and the dorian app itself) the Arcana has the highest rating— and it’s well deserved, I think, as both a fan of The Arcana and Fictif. However a lot of the recent reviews are praising DORIAN for The Arcana, when they didn’t actually put any of the work in to make it the COMPLETE story we know and love. Then, notice the majority of the recent reviews and complaints for Fictif— that there are no updates. And then look at every single response! It’s all Dorian urging people to move to the Dorian app if they want more content. Even in the update logs, it’s been eight months since Dorian has last updated Fictif. Heck, even look at social media. The Arcana’s socials are being used almost exclusively either as promotion for things happening on Dorian or sales (whether they be merchandise or on the app) whereas Fictif’s socials have remained untouched for months. They’ve even removed the Fictif tags from the Arcana socials’ bios, which seems SO MINISCULE— but it shows that they don’t care about whether or not attention goes to Fictif, otherwise they’d put those tags back in to draw attention to them from their bigger, related fanbase, The Arcana. Dorian DOES NOT CARE about Fictif. Whatever automated response they’re going to give doesn’t make that untrue. Edit because Dorian responded about “preserving Fictif” and how Fictif stopped updating under Nix Hydra, how the Arcana’s storyline was finished in 2021 etc. etc. blah blah blah. I’m MORE than aware of that. I acknowledge both those things— in fact, I clearly state the latter as a reason why you people only care about the Arcana. Because you think it’s “safe” to work on. You’re not taking chances with a finished storyline. You claim you’re working to preserve Fictif as well, but then why do the update and version logs claim that the last update for the app at ALL—and I’m not just talking about stories, but bug fixes or ANYTHING else—was eight months ago? What was the purpose of removing any trace of Fictif from the Arcana’s socials? The purpose of not making Fictif an account on Threads, when you’ve made one for its sister app? This review was about how you don’t care about Fictif, and how you only care about the Arcana because you see it as “safe” to experiment with. That’s proven even in your response— you only talk about “fostering growth within the Arcana community”. Nothing about Fictif, which DESPERATELY needs more work and whose community is worse off and deader than the Arcana’s, largely because you’ve given us NOTHING to work with. I said that whatever automated response you’d give wouldn’t change that you don’t care about Fictif— and the automated response that you DID give proves that perfectly. Thank you for proving my point. Update: Feb 2025 So that initial review and following edit was made in October of 2023. The “update for compatibility with modern devices” was made shortly afterwards. Since then there has been no update on Fictif (bug fixes or the like) and after scrolling the Fictif subreddit, I believe that Dorian also never finished porting over Fictif’s content and sprites to their app (if they ever bothered at all). The Fictif accounts remain untouched, and Fictif remains unacknowledged by both official The Arcana and Dorian accounts. But tell me again about how you care SO much about this property and these stories, right? I would still fully encourage people to interact with Fictif and play through the stories, but that’s because I love the stories and the worlds that Fictif gave us. It has NOTHING to do with Dorian, because god knows they’ve given the community absolutely nothing to work with. But who knows. Maybe if people play, Dorian will finally try to give Fictif some attention and feed what little of us are still here.
Kinda a waste
I don’t hate everything about this game but here are my complaints and some complaints I read from other reviews about the game here I go Why are there no new stories being made or released there are only a limited amount of stories to read and most of them are focused solely on the male love interest. Why keep stories that aren’t going to be finished or have been sold on the options to read because if it is no longer being published then what’s the point because you will never know what happened for example monster manor it was sold and is no longer being made and it’s still on the game. Most people have said things about there being bugs in the past that has been fixed but ever since the game was handed over to another company everything went downhill. Other than all of these issues I am going to unfortunately have to say this game is now a absolute waste of time and patience because you can only read three episodes and then need to wait for a few hour cool down and you need to watch tones of adds to get stars if you want to read the story’s that have been finished and like girls and guys then I guess try it out or find a better game like Dorian it’s just hard to get hearts in the game
Great Game with Great Stories…
So, I’ve had this game for a long time. And I enjoy all the stories Fictif has to offer. My favorite one though is “Catch Me In Miami”, it has a great storyline and great illustrations. But what I am not pleased with in the game is one thing: the Hourglass’s. I do not like how when you use them, you have to wait for about 3 hours just for them to refill. I find it annoying having to wait that long and not being able to do any other stories because I don’t have the Hourglasses I need to read the chapters in the story. If I could make a request, I would like there to be a time reduction on the Hourglass refills. It would save time, and allow myself and other users of the game to be able to enjoy the stories without having to wait so long. Thank you for reading my review, if you have.
STILL dead app
UPDATE: the company replied to my review and said the app is being maintained as-is, but that’s entirely my point: the stories that aren’t finished will never BE finished, they seem to have no plans to tackle them other than to keep what’s there available which is SORT of laudable if you consider that despite the fact that the unfinished stories will never be finished, the company that bought the content and app are perfectly happy leaving the in-app store open. anyone downloading this app should be warned in advance so they don’t spend money they can’t get back for incomplete stories that will never be completed. that was the purpose of my review. do not buy anything. there is no point. enjoy it for what it is. the app still works of course, and there are some finished stories on here that are worth reading, but anything that hasn’t been finished isn’t going to be finished, which is sad. i have no idea why they bother to update the app for compatibility instead of just migrating all the finished stories over to the dorian app, which is the company that now owns fictif. sure, i prefer the formatting of this app to dorian, but what’s the point when it’s totally stagnant?
It’s great but when’s the updates?
I have played this game since it has came out, and it’s never failed me. It’s easy to get stars, barley any adds, and the stories are great! But 2022, it stopped getting updates. The stories with uncompleted endings haven’t been touched. Even though it says stories are “ongoing”, I’ve been afraid they have come to an end. Keeping my hopes high! Hopefully there will be future updates that me and other individuals have been waiting for!

There are many good stories but they aren't finished. The team tends to go from one project to another and not want to finish. Or make it into a cash grab and milk their fans with that one game Dorian. I like the games and the characters but you need that passion back.
Love the writing, art, characters, but…
Look, I really do love the stories and characters. All of the routes I’ve played have been super fun, the side characters don’t feel like just side decorations, and the art is beautiful. The problem is the fact that a good number of stories aren’t finished, more stories were added while others sat in limbo, and unfortunately I don’t think any that are unfinished now ever will be in the future (it’s been 1-2 years I think, that’s not a good look for an active story app). I don’t know if there was some kind of drama or if writers left the team or whatever. I even checked Dorian (the app) in case they just… stopped using the Fictif app, but couldn’t find the stories there either. So if you are new to their stories, my suggestion is to not waste your money on the little stars. Just save them up through logging in and ads.

i used to love this game and check daily for updates of my favorite stories. but it has been years and there have still been ZERO updates. they claim they're still "maintaining the fictif stories" but until they actually follow through on their word theres no way im giving above one star. if you're not keen on reading a story that likely will never be finished do NOT download fictif.

What happened?
I’m so happy that Nyx is branching out but I feel like everything is getting abandoned in the process. First it was the Arcana, then I found out about Fictif through the Arcana and now the focus seems to be getting shifted to Dorian and the Arcana again. I get you guys have to make your money somehow as these VN’s are not cheap to make, but in doing so, please don’t forget that people still like Fictif and have stories that they would like to see get completed. Fictif has great stories with huge potential! Please don’t give up on it. Just finish what you have then put out new stories.
It had so much potential, but then they just forgot about it??
Tl;dr: it’s a wonderful game with great stories and fleshed out characters, but don’t start reading anything unfinished. It probably won’t ever get updated. Ok so I got this shortly after it came out and ended up deleting it after like a year and a half. I started bc of its affiliation to the arcana and bc of ads I saw about last legacy, specifically about Felix. Now, it’s notoriously difficult to get stars in this game without spending money, and I’d like people to keep that in mind. I don’t think I ever bought stars while I was playing felix’s story, and through the course of like four or five months, I had completely played through his entire available story and bought every premium option. Meaning, I spent enough time to grind all the necessary stars to get premium options while waiting for new chapters. And then I finished chapter 13. I stared at “chapter 14 coming soon” under his story for six months before I came to the realisation that Dorian was probably never going to update it. I deleted it soon after, when I realised that it was the same for Sage. Now I’m not completely sure, but I’m fairly certain that I bought most, if not all of his premium options as well. I’m not sure how to articulate how LONG it takes to get stars for premium options, but the fact that I basically never had to spend money while getting them for both Sage and Felix shows how long it took them to update them. They worked on other stories too, which is fine, but I got completely fed up when multiple stories that were introduced AFTER last legacy were completed before ANY of the last legacy stories were. I mean, I’m pretty sure there were stories introduced after Felix’s 13th chapter that finished before we ever got chapter 14. I’m currently redownloading it (mostly to make a point to myself) to see if I can organically get the stars necessary to complete other stories. Looking at it like two or three years later, there STILL aren’t any updates for any of the last legacy stories, nor do there appear to be any for the other stories they have. It’s really disheartening to see something with so much potential be practically forgotten about in favour of their streaming(?) service. Idk, but I’ve seen ads and sponsorships for something else they made, and it’s clear that they’re focusing on that over finishing the stories they committed to in the first place. Also, upon reading other comments that criticise this point, Dorian just gives vague “join our discord for updates!” answers instead of giving even a facsimile of a genuine response. Other reviews have more in depth responses, while the ones criticising the lack of updates have only the barest of responses just to make it seem like they review every review
Absolutely love the app, but hate it now
I found this game and fell in love with it! The writing and art styles I adore, and I really connected with all the characters! I invested some extra money into it sometimes and waited with baited breath for every update, and even purchased merch from the online store. When I tell you this was my favorite app I mean it, I recommend it to everyone I knew and drew art of it. I loved it, it was so comforting. This was my favorite app and my favorite thing to read. HOWEVER It was purchased by a new company, who seem to be pretty cool. But since then all of the main artists and writers have left and their has been no updates since before May 2022. Most selections left on a cliff hangers, being in the climax of their stories and leaving things untouched and un explained. I would have been willing to spend more money and probably (i definitely would have) buy more merch if the stories had been continued and questions answered. Most fans have been receiving no responses back that really say anything of any substance. Dorian continues to just keep the app alive as a shriveled husk for people to find, fall in love with and then be disappointed to know that their favorite characters are suspended in the peak of their stories likely never to be heard from again. I loved this app, but now its dead I hate it. Please Please Dorian, make some extra money and finish the stories. Im sure most people at this point would purchase the continuation even if it is behind a paywall.

My top favorite books on here were Roadkill and Ghosted. Not saying I didn't enjoy all their other books. I just really enjoyed how compelling and supernatural/paranormal they were. I hope the devs will continue to make more stories like Roadkill and Ghosted, as well as, create stories where the MC's a supernatural being (i.e. Superhero, anti-hero, Alien, witch, vampire/werewolf, Angel/demon, etc). I'd also like to see more genres and tropes like "enemies-to-lovers", "fake relationships", "second chance romances", "love triangles", etc. Moreover, it'd be nice if we could customize MC. Nothing wrong with how it is now, but it's just fun to customize the MC's hair, clothes and physical attributes in our story. It'd also be nice if our choices were more impactful similar to what Romance Club does with their stories. Again - not saying that y'all don't do any of that because y'all do. I just wish to see more of it. I hope you'll continue to make more stories.
Stories Were Great; Dorian Killed The App
After The Arcana and Fictif merged with Dorian, they assured fans they would continue to update incomplete stories such as Last Legacy, a complex fantasy story with a compelling plot and characters who felt real. Despite these promises, it has been several months and Dorian has consistently failed to support a large portion of their fanbase, regardless of how much we ask for closure. Dorian’s complete disregard of their supporters leaves me with a lack of trust in their company and completion of their future stories, and I plan on leaving them behind as they have done to me. This app shows no signs of updating again. Before Dorian, I would spend hours reading and saving up my stars to escape into these stories. From casting spells with Felix to hopping into an interdimensional movie theater to find Nicky, the writing was high quality and the art styles were vibrant and unique. I could not get enough of Last Legacy and it’s characters, and I am deeply saddened yet unsurprised to learn that a company would lie to its supporters and leave them hanging.
Love it but there are problems
I downloaded the game when it was first starting and all the stories were incomplete. I quickly fell in love with it and would get excited whenever I saw a story was updated. But it upsets me that now Fictif has just seemed to be abandoned due to it not updating in months. I’ve tried Dorian and it really isn’t great and I had issues with it. I joined the discord and saw people talking about Fictif maybe getting updated just for it to never happen. I find it upsetting Fictif was dropped for Dorian

It’s pretty good but could there be a way that you get a bad ending not just a “oh I don’t love you” but more an evil ending. Just an idea and me ranting a sign of my early onset of dementia.

dorian bought out nix hydra and ever since then, none of the stories have been updated. it's so disappointing to see so many amazing stories and characters essentially go to waste because of what feels like corporate greed. this is a warning to anyone wanting to download!! stories have been left unfinished and will likely never be finished. 💔

It’s a shame that last legacy is on a permanent hiatus. That’s definitely all I was reading for since all the other stories lacked wlw content.

keeps telling me my internets not connected and is taking forever to load but my internet is perfectly fine honey it’s just this app having this problem. i played this app before a year ago it didn’t have this problem… i just re downloaded it and it keeps saying no internet connection but why should we even need connection to play this anyway girl we shouldn’t even need wifi ..
Updates?
i absolutely love this game to death, the story telling is great, the graphics are captivating, and the sound design is amazing. but, i noticed how it says weekly updates yet none have been updated in a few months. is this just my device or is something going on? sorry if this comes off rude, but i absolutely love these stories. i have honestly played all of them, and can’t wait to play more.
Abandoned Games
In 2022, the Fictif instagram account said that they planned on updating the stories after a hiatus. Two years later with no word from the company and 11 months since the last app update, I’m more than sure that it has been completed abandoned and figured I’d warn others. Some games are complete but a lot aren’t and probably never will be. So I wanted to give a fair warning before people pay money into something that is never going to be complete. Honestly kind of shameful that this is Dorians legacy.

I love this game and love the stories, but ever since Dorian took over, we haven’t gotten any story updates. It’s really disappointing. They said they would keep the app running with the stories but that doesn’t seem to be the case. Please update and at least finish the stories on there. I still have a tone of stars that I had purchased right before the switch. I’d like to used them. I’m sure I’m not the only one waiting here. Like what about Last Legacy at least. That was one of the main storylines.
Greedy creators..
I used to love nix hydra. But honestly, they’ve been really dropping the ball when it comes to caring for their fan base. I understand requiring payment for their work, but no real romantic or important story choices can be made without payment. The only choices you really have for free are strictly dialog. It’s impossible to accumulate enough stars by just playing to be able to make fun choices. It’s really sad. I’m very disappointed in the greed nix hydra has been showing lately.. along with the incredibly scummy and misleading ads. The only reason I’m giving two stars is because I truly appreciate the artists and writing in some of these stories. Wish it weren’t so expensive.
Could still be a great game but there are still too many problems
I’ve been here since it launched and went through its change’s and I miss the old Fictif in the sense of when it actually updated all the focus went to Dorian once it changed same the arcana and I’m glad it’s getting focus again but I’m sad because I prefer Fictif but the main problem here is that stories are still uncompleted! And on the main page it still says some stories just updated!, but they have not just updated they updated months ago, and I still would love to see more stories and artsyles on here but all that focus has been moved onto Dorian which I am very sad about. I just wish stories were actually completed and more things could be added and more side stories and the arcana and Fictif crossover I wish that could still be completed seems like it was forgotten about which is sad but it seems like this whole app has been forgotten about from both the og creators/owners and the new creators/owners. Just wish it would get better but it hasn’t.
I miss Fictif
I really love this app, I think the artwork and a lot of stories are fantastic and I absolutely adore a number of the characters. I really hope Dorian reconsiders abandoning the app to only add content to the Dorian app and will update here too! Especially for the stories that were put on hiatus before the company switch and when stars are still available for purchase. I really hope to see more incredible cannon content put into this app as well. I think it would make a lot more people reconsider using the Dorian app as well for fan content!

I haven’t played in a few years and one of my favorite series: last legacy, into the mist, monster manor, etc. Are STILL ongoing and still not finished. This app is really cute and I love the stories but I wish the devs paid more attention to actually finishing stories before making new stories! Great art and stories, very very poor execution. So I noticed that it’s been a while since there has been any new chapters and u don’t know if the game play was moved to another app cuz I’ve been waiting for some chapters to come out for Felix or Sage, so I’m just confused. But overall I really love this app I like reading on it, and it’s very enjoyable!
Not really good
I hate that it cost ticket on the first chapter. Most story apps let you get read the first chapter free to see if you like it or not, and I also hate how they force me to choose between two books that I have no interest in to start the game and took away 1 of my 3 tickets. There is also way too little diamonds provided, and the app made my phone heat up like 10 minutes into the first chapter. The animation is nice but looks kind of blurry and laggy (but that’s probably my phone’s problem). Overall, I’m kind of disappointed as I read so many good reviews about the app, but probably have to delete it as it literally heat up my phone way too much and decrease my battery too quickly.
Great game but coin system is kinda annoying
I love the game it’s cool and I like the way that the coins don’t always depict how the stories end but it also sometimes does. It's like if I’m doing a chapter for a specific character that I like I’ll have to pay just to get time with them.I think it would be better if all the good choices weren’t things you have to pay for especially since to earn coins you have to finish some chapters or watch adds. Then after I watch like 5 adds there are no more mines still haven’t refilled even after a week. The stories are so good and the game itself is good but it’s kinda falling into the greedy money for coins stuff that apps like episode use. this game is way better than that so why not upgrade coin systems too.anyways though I’m not a app developer or anything u don’t know a lot I’m just a player so these are just my opinions but great game still ❤️
Great game, just needs a few more books to choose from
The overall app is good I just think their should be a few more books in the Cinematic Drama category because I actually like this category more than the other and I wish there were more stories to choose from but there is only three books that aren’t short stories in the category.

Don’t waste your time… I loved the original stories and art-especially LL but there hasn’t been an update for over 2 years. The developers keep saying they’re just going to maintain and not update? What’s the point! Sell it off to someone who will or hire one of your independent creators to do it to f you want to promote that so bad!
Love the game and the stories, still have some questions though
i got the game in about February of 2023 and didn’t realize that it stopped updating until i finished some stories. I looked at the instagram and saw a post explaining things and it still didn’t really give us any straight answers. I fell in love with fictif and gave it a lot of time to read the stories and get to know the characters. I downloaded dorian to see if there was any updates for fictif. From what i could tell there wasn’t any. I guess i just have one question, will the stories be updated and finished? or will they stay incomplete?

Needs a lot of upgrading keys take too long to load sages story has not yet been updated and I understand it takes a long time but maybe do like a teaser also I do t know what I look like so uhhh ya also the trinkets need to not cost coins because we earned them and it unfair also you should be able to do at least a few story’s where you don’t use ur coins it will give people more enthusiasm about the game like in sages story the fun “””sexy””” things u do cost a lot maybe lower them or do what I had suggested
Lovely, but needs a couple changes.
I do enjoy using FictIf for its stories. I’ve had it for awhile and watching it progress has been great. However, the gem problems still stands. Similarly to Choices and Episode, when trying to choose options that may increase the story you can use gems. However, it is very difficult to get said gems, which makes the game less enjoyable when your choices are clogged up by unaffordable options. I’d even take mini games, a spin the wheel thing, a higher daily award- anything. I understand that app developers have to get their money somewhere, but I hope they can find a way outside of useless options. Also- make the events tied to gem options longer and more interesting. Gems can cost real money, you gotta make it worth it.
