What people like
- Super easy to use
- Saves hours of work
- Great for Instagram stories
What they complain about
- Support never actually helps
- Keeps crashing when you open it
- Hidden limits on clip length
- Paywall blocks basic features
Perfect, easy, instant
One of the easiest most straightforward apps I’ve ever used. Within seconds of downloading I was able to make perfect clips for IG. My new fave app. It does what it says it does perfectly, & isn’t chaotically over designed.
COST MONEY
Chop- why it cost money to cut a video longer than two minutes? Whats the actual pupose of this chop app. Chop
Does The Job
It does the job you need it to do, and it does it easily and efficiently. I don't love that I had to pay money for it, but I was willing to spend a little money to get the job done and, like I said, it got that job done well.
Love it when it works smoothly, but…
Glitchy, app freezes up
Cuts the ends off
Some of the cuts will shorten the video by a second or so which could leave out valuable information. Regretting the purchase because of that alone. Great in theory though.
Best Purchase I’ve Made!
I have spent hours making videos into smaller segments. One day, I had a bright idea. Let’s check to see if there’s a app that could do it for me and found split video. What once took me hours now takes the app seconds. Thank you so much.
useless
My video was 3 minutes long, and I was told to download this app to split it into 60-second segments. I tried, but I couldn’t submit my video because it had to be under 2 minutes, which defeats the purpose of the app. Very disappointed.

Free version not worth it
Free version only allows splitting videos under 2 minutes. Kind of defeats the purpose of making longer stories. I wasted my expensive Tanzanian vacation data on this (GB ain’t cheap here)
Please allow video cuts longer than 60 seconds.
I was trying to split a video 2 minutes per clip and it did not have the option to split longer that 60 seconds. Also wanted to split a 15 minute video in 5 minute increments and it did not have that option either. Being a able to split a video from 1 to 20 minute increments would be awesome. I am hoping that you allow this option in the future. I payed for the premium option not knowing there was a limitation to the length of the clips, post cut. I do not care for a refund. I just hope you will upgrade this app the app in the future. It has a lot of potential. If you added a feature to split videos in 1/4 or 1/2 or even 1/8 increments that would be great too. Looking forward to an update.
Work for me!
I really like the way this app works. It is simple and to the point. I recommend it for fat cuts and loads.
Not splitting correctly
Completely missed saving a section of video. Tried 3 times and same result.
Neil
Used it once so far and it was great!
Recently Changed
The free plan used to allow for custom length clips but as of recently, we can only cut into 30 or 60 second clips. Not cool.
I would like to know how you make your apps cause I am looking into making my own?
I would like to know how you make your apps cause I am looking into making my own?
La mejor app
La amo
.
This app literally doesn’t do anything i tried to split my videos shorter of 5 minutes n it keeps kicking me out of the app.
Was great until..
Hate that at first you could custom split videos up to like 15 seconds without getting the plan and then you guys changed it where that you can’t do any custom times at all without getting a plan. Please change that back?
Dark mode problem
Dark mode theme is not compatible please fix.
~ Enjoy~
Very useful, EXSPECIALLY for FB! ~ BoonieWV
I paid for the year for nothing
This app does not work all it does is closes once you try to split a video. I wasted my money. Don’t waste yours.
Videos are not smooth
When the app splits into segments, some segments playback with rough, not smooth movements. I don’t know how to fix this.
Suggestion
Suggestion, label the split video clips part 1, Part 2, etc… in the photo album but not attached to the actual clips.
Não gostei
Quero o meu retorno , não gostei do aplicativo
Functional HOWEVER
I needed clips longer than 60 seconds for a long form video. This limitation isn’t outlined anywhere in the app. You also have to go through a paywall to edit a video longer than a couple minutes. So only after I bought the subscription was i aware of this apps limitations. They state that you can edit or cancel the subscription from “Account Settings” no such page to be found in-app or in the settings browser on your phone. All they have available is a dead-end support webpage. Can you please cancel this subscription for me? That’s genuinely not cool.
Excellent for one thing:
Splitting videos into 60 second videos that I can use for Instagram stories. Perfect, easy, worth it.
Not worth ur while if your not willing to pay for the full version
Doesn’t even do as promised. 2 minute video max for free version I would be better just splitting it in the photos app 😂
Malfunction?
I downloaded it.. upgraded a minute in and I’m still only allowed 60 seconds and the ads never stopped! Can someone tell me where to find the upgrade I purchased?
Itufususuf
Gisigigighhhh
Don’t download until it’s updates
Downloaded and purchased the pro version, have not been able to upload 1 video yet.
Undocumented inout File Size Limit
I believe all functional limits should be clearly stated prior to download. N.B. Without the Pro subscription there is a two minute import file size limit.
No matter the video it crashes
It constantly crashes. I can’t finish my work without it crashing or not sending all of the split videos to my photos app. This has become straight trash to use.
Low quality
The app is easy to use but it makes the video such low quality
Wow!
Super amazing. Does what it is supposed to do!!!
Useless unless you pay
It won’t allow you to make a 20 sec cut for fb unless you pay.
